    Turkey & Dressing Dinner
    tina a.

The reviews were not good but my visit was surprisingly good. My friend had the nachos and she said they were great. I got the turkey dinner. It was really good. The turkey was juicy, mashed potatoes were spot on and that garlic toast was crunchy and flavorful. The service wasn't great tho. There was one girl at the counter who was having an issue with something about the customer trying to pay. We stood there for more than five minutes and finally my friend asked if we could be seated. I understand she was busy with someone, but there should be someone else who can step in and seat us. Once we sat down, we waited another five or 10 minutes for someone to come take our order. We almost got up and left, but I'm glad we didn't. Once we ordered the food came fast and it was really good. If you are traveling and want to stop for a a bite consider this Denny's

So I go into Denny's on my way to other celebration for my birthday activities for the day. I asked the guy server if he would tell me which meal is included with the grand slam birthday breakfast he said that they don't do that anymore unless I have a coupon so I looked on my app and he looked up my app and found my coupon so I ordered my food. The skies energy level is at a one the girl that's bouncing all over the rest of the restaurant has a nice high energy. Glad to see what can I give you? How can I add to your breakfast, she gave the gentleman in a $.99 ad on something that I probably could've used instead of a $4.99 sourdough order extra to dip my eggs in which when I got my eggs, they were flipped over easy however they were raw still in the middle of both. I switched that out for a scrambled egg which by then my taste buds were already off. I just have to say that this visit to Denny's on Main Street in Santa Maria was a sad birthday meal.

Waitress was nice, kind, and helpf The food was hot and fresh pancakes were great. Their service was good. I recommend Denny's for breakfast.

    Sr Country Fried Steak plate

Went for breakfast this past weekend. Around 7 am.Since I wanted French Toast , I ordered from the regular menu. ( NOT the Sr Menu) There were only three other customers at the time. So, don't get why my food was cold. The sausages were on the cold side.Hash browns lukewarm and French toast the same. Sausages are like Tootsie rolls. And the Bacon is the THIN already pre- made style. I know about the bacon, as I use it occasionally . They cooked a replacement breakfast which was better. *** Also don't understand why they give you three plates for this breakfast. Awkward to eat from. Cost at $23. 4 stars as food was cold, but fixed. Dennys has been my favorite for many years for Breakfast, at other cities that I have lived. Just going to stick to the Sr Breakfasts, less pricey.

Still polite and quick service with a casual ambiance and though many wouldn't think it since we don't expect it, some of the best burgers in town. I know I used to always think of them for their breakfast foods or more sit down diner foods. Their Smash burgers are crispy and juicy with awesome variety (bourbon, classic etc.) You can also order with them thru door dash as either Denny's or the burger den.

Loaded Veggie Omelet with hash browns.

I ordered the Loaded Veggies Omelet with hash browns and pancakes. It was an enjoyable meal from sit down to paying the associate. Just like I was here 30 years ago. I guess I miss nostalgia. I guess too being in the pandemic you miss things. Service was excellent, I loved the hash browns and catchup best. Vegetables was savory in every bite along with the cheese and egg, I should of ordered links on the side. I need to go out more.

Service was good, however my pancakes were completely raw and the hash browns were also half cooked.

It was tender, flavorful, and actually looked like it came from a cow instead of a lab experiment. The eggs were cooked exactly how I ordered them, which shouldn't be noteworthy but somehow is these days. The hashbrowns were crispy, well-cooked, and managed the rare feat of not doubling as a sponge for a gallon of fryer oil. The only hiccup was our server, who apparently had an active restraining order against our table. Drink refills and check-ins were few and far between. Thankfully, the rest of the staff noticed we had been abandoned and jumped in to save the day. They kept the coffee flowing and made sure we had everything we needed. In the end, the food was excellent, the rest of the staff picked up the slack, and I left full, happy, and already thinking about what I'll order next time. So that immediately through the vibe off Once the food came out the guacamole on my Huevos Rancheros was dark green so it was very old guacamole on there, the entire plate looked like mush and it was very watery and runny. My wife's pancakes were horrible, the cooks for some odd ball reason must've been lazy or on a shortage of brain cells cause they stacked the pancakes with the bacon strips in the middle (bacon was chewy and seemed re heated in the microwave) and then finally they put the soggy eggs on the very top of the pancakes so the entire experience was horrible If I could leave no stars I would. I wish I could get my $40 back because that food wasn't even worth $10 This place used to be so good and now it's gone downhill bad.

With not much open around us, we turned to Google for help and stumbled upon Charlie's Restaurant. What a fantastic surprise! My friend ordered a chocolate pineapple milkshake--a creative blend not listed on the menu. She thought it would be a delightful combination, and she was absolutely right. Meanwhile, I went for the Nachos Supreme, and let me tell you, they are hands down the best nachos I've ever had at 70 years old! The chips were perfectly crisp, topped with homemade refried beans, creamy sour cream, cheese, fresh guacamole, and chopped tomatoes. Each bite was a flavor explosion! The restaurant itself isn't flashy; in fact, it took us a moment to spot the sign, which was partly hidden by a hedge. But stepping inside was a treat! We chose to sit in the charming garden, where a lovely mural added to the ambiance. The dining room is small and rustic, creating a cozy atmosphere that felt inviting. The service was exceptional, with a friendly young couple attending to us. The young man even took the time to sit with us, asking where we were from and sharing tips about nearby treasures. It's refreshing to experience such genuine, old-fashioned customer service these days. I can't recommend Charlie's enough! Their extensive menu is full of tempting options, and the mouthwatering aromas made it hard to resist trying more. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area--perhaps for those onion rings next time! The bathroom had a sign on the wall with a picture of a toilet saying please seat yourself If you're in Los Alamos, don't miss out on this hidden gem!

I quickly realized that our food probably sat on the ready counter for a significant length isn't time. I ordered biscuits and gravy with bacon and two eggs over easy. The biscuits were ok at best, Gravy lacked flavor and my eggs were as cold as the weather outside. My GF ordered a sandwich, that did not come with fries. That was discovered once the order arrived. We were told they're playing with the menu. ‍, sounded weird but ok. She also god a side of mozzarella sticks. Those two were cold. Like they took a string cheese and rolled it in breading and heated in the microwave for about 15 seconds. So disappointing. I hope they figure out their staffing issues and lock in the menu. Seems like a decent spot but I'll find another breakfast place. Don't waste your money, plus I heard the tips are automatically added to the bill. I didn't look that closely because there was only 3 of us eating and I'm not used to auto tipping unless you have a large party. If they do auto tipping, my waitress hit well more than deserved because I tipped on my own as well. The table we were sat, was out of little jam packets. Seems like a trivial thing to bring up but details matter. What else are they skipping...? Do they even wipe down a table when it's reset first the next guests? McDonalds is down the street.
