Though our server was great we will NOT be returning to this particular location. The wait wasn't that bad for how busy they were. It was not as loud as it could have been for that time of day. When we went to check in there was no clear check in/check out line and even though my family and other customers were in line, people who were checking out would just jump at the front of the line. The young lady at the counter had an ear bud/air pod in and didn't look like she wanted to be there. The server, Savannah, was simply amazing; she gets 5 stars. The location and the cleanliness of the location was not great. The silverware looked dirty even though it was supposed to be clean, and let's not even talk about how disgusting the bathrooms were. The food was good, nothing fancy or extravagant. Trust me, this is not the place to go if you are wanting something extravagant. This is just not that chain of restaurants. The server was sweet! The food was decent. The biggest reason why my family and I will not be returning is the atmosphere. The entire time we waited for the food, AND while eating, 2 employees had a very loud, ongoing, negative conversation about another employee who was not present. Also, they were only seating people in a small section and couldn't clean up most of the tables. We overheard someone say they were still cleaning up from this morning (it was 2 P.M.) 7/28/24 Party of 2 12:20pm It's super rainy today and there's no mats on the floor's when you enter. We were seated quickly and given 2 menus, one which was very dirty and sticky. Angela was our server and she was very nice and friendly. French toast with eggs, hash, bacon and sausage: 1/10: eggs were ok, everything else was terrible. Hash was burned on one side and undercooked on the other side. Sausage and bacon weren't even fully cooked and the French toast was just toast with sugar. Orange juice 0/10: watered down. Utensils were dirty and the both were sat in had a torn side. Don't come here. Period. read more

I give this Denny's one star but would give them a zero if I could . I ordered the fit slim with gluten-free muffins I told them to make sure they were gluten-free. I am extremely allergic to gluten. Thank god I only ate 1 of the muffins . Turned out it was NOT gluten free and I became extremely Ill . Do not eat here if you have food allergies because they could care less & will put your life in danger .I am extremely upset that they disregarded my special diet . read more

Wife and I have been here several times. It looks like the restaurant has issues with keeping temperature in dining area. It is always warm and they have fan going to remedy the issue instead of fixing the problem. We visited the restaurant Friday hoping it would be better. Unfortunately same problem. Well wife ordered omelette from the menu. It was diced greesey veggies and greesey egg that didn't resemble anything as omelette with flapping the eggs over the veggies. We will not be visiting this place for a long time. Service was OK but nothing to write home about. read more

My husband and I decided to have breakfast in our way from San Antonio to Austin so we stopped at the Denny's in Schertz, TX. Our waitress was Sandra. She took great care of us. The Chef did an amazing job! I had the 55+ scrambled egg/ cheese, bacon, sausage, and 2 pancakes!!!! I asked that they add blueberries to my pancakes...no problem for Sandra....AND THEY WERE GREAT!!!! My husband had a build your own Grand Slam and was happy, happy! Thank you Denny's for a great breakfast experience on the last day of the year!!!!! I forgot to take pictures...but the restaurant was clean and so nostalgic. You'll love it. Went for breakfast we ordered Eggs Benny ,the eggs were cooked perfectly but what ruined it was the hollandaise sauce it was terrible tasted like cheese and a bit of mustard in it ,we couldn't finish it and the color was very very yellow not a normal hollandaise,I I ate eggs Benny here about a year and a half ago and the sauce was not like it was yesterday ,if it had been I wouldn't of ordered it .Waitress was very pleasant,I have to admit the restaurant was absolutely spotless window sills ,tables ,floor ,utensils ,probably the cleanest chain restaurant I've seen this clean in a long time . read more

Pix is the 2nd batch of hashbrowns after 1st sent back were even lighter. At least I saved calories by just leaving them. The Eggs Benedict did have the eggs done right but the sauce was just blah. Hubby was happy with his Grand Slam. Nice waitresses and prompt service. The restrooms need a deep cleaning but not horrid. We'd go back once more though hoping for improvement. read more

Okay I went to dennys today and I don't have many good things to say sadly. When I sat down I noticed a lot of dust falling on the table and when I looked up the lamps had cobwebs and were caked with dust. I had ordered a burger and fries I specifically asked for no tomatoes and extra pickles when I got my food the meat wasn't even fully cooked with NO pickles and it had tomatoes the fries were cold some still frozen and stuck together and and I had noticed the cooks weren't wearing gloves when making the food and all together the food was unseasoned and uncooked. This Dennys is freezing cold. The temp outside is 46 degrees and this Dennys has a cold wind blowing through it. Bundle up if you come here. The staff is sloppy; shirts untucked, and I'll fitting. However, they are accommodating. The food is less than mediocre . They got my husbands order wrong so he had to wait to get his correct omelette and only got half his order. He greeted and seated me right away, got my drink right away, the food came fairly quickly, then it was a ghost town. There were only 4 other customers in the dining room, but 4 employees. I ate what I could then waited and waited and waited. After bringing me my food Lee never returned to see if I needed anything, or if my meal was alright. We came in for a late night breakfast dinner, the atmosphere was quiet, friendly and the place was clean. At the time there were only two staff(server and cook) but Gary(our server) was attentive and friendly, he went above and beyond even after more and more people kept coming in all while keeping track of our refills and making sure we were all set. I when to eat with my 6 yr old gran daughter and the manager Chris was yelling at the employees and as she walked from behind the counter her pant was unbuttoned. she is rude and extremely crude. chris is a mean and very nasty person. We waited to be seated and as we were we then began watching all other parties being seated after us get drinks orders and food served. There was a definite disconnect between service and execution. Then we observed and heard a male employee walk out of the men's room proudly boasting " don't send a boy to do a man's job," as he carried the dripping toilet plunger back into the kitchen. Stopped in for Dinner today. The restaurant was almost empty. Got seated and the waitress was there immediately, I ordered a unsweetened ice tea, was informed they were in the process of making a fresh batch. I then ordered the Chicken fried Chicken with mashed potatoes. Was told they only had one piece of chicken. After a time I told the waitress I would take the broccoli. The chicken came with two bowls of mashed potatoes covered with a gravy that looked more like a lumpy white sauce. Also came with 4 pieces of long buns cut in half and toasted with garlic butter. After a time the broccoli came, and it was delicious. She also brought my tea, which was very, very weak. I know it was Sunday and Mother's Day, but this restaurant has been going downhill for some time. From items on menu not available, to deep fried items not being drained before serving. A ten minute wait to be seated with lots of tables still open on a Sunday, which continued through the next hour and a half. A half hour to get our food. Our food was cold and soggy by the time it came out. (Kids French toast and fit slam). The waitress only apologized for the wait when she saw I was on yelp checking reviews (a bit late). Since my last review, I've been here twice. The quality of food and service has significantly downgraded. I in no way, shape, or form recommended this place anymore. My burger was so sour tasting, my fries were so full of grease that they were extremely crunchy. Nothing tasted good and it was hard to wave down the server.
