I waited two days after visiting this restaurant, so that I might calmly write my review. I was driving by this Denny's and decided that I would like a milkshake, which is rare for me to order anywhere. When I entered, there were a few guests at two tables and three waitresses were standing behind the counter chatting. I ordered a shake to go. One of the waitresses grabbed a cup for the shake, but when she turned toward me, I noticed that she was holding it with most of the length of three of her fingers firmly pressed against the inside of the cup. Not sanitary, but I didn't get too excited about it. She then went to another counter, removed the blender from beneath it, and dropped the lid to the blender on the floor, which I then noticed was very dirty with various debris. She picked the lid up and threw it on top of the desert counter. After filling the blender with the ingredients, she grabbed the same lid that had been on the floor, covered the blender with it, started mixing, and I simply turned around and left. If this is how they handle the food area when they are not busy, I can't imagine how many unsanitary meals are served during heavy traffic. Eat there at your own risk. read more

First off: we're definitely not the people to write negative reviews, BUT AFTER A HANDFUL OF HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES, WE HAVE SOLIDIFIED THAT THIS DENNYS IS AWFUL. I feel it's necessary and fair to write a review for any potential customers of this establishment. -- There are 3 seated tables in our section, not busy whatsoever for this side of the restaurant. 12:40pm-seated and brought water 1:10pm -30 minutes into our visit and our waitress by the name of 'Bea' seems to have completely forgot about us and hasn't made eye contact since we were first seated. After trying to flag her down, I walked over to the other side of the restaurant to speak with another waitress. Long story, short we place our order. 1:25pm -Our water has not been refilled since we were seated. We finally receive our meals and have to ask the man bringing out our food, for a water refill. &all the while we have not heard one "I am sorry". obviously, disgusted by our visit and had to leave as soon we could finish. With that experience being one of many, I truly hope the owner or manager of this branch can see this and implement proper training for their workers or proper consequences. read more

The Dennys on Rancho and Jefferson is seriously the worst of all. Month after month we go for early breakfast and for dinner sometimes too, we always try to order the same chicken sandwich with a creamy pepper sauce and time and time again they never have it, this past weekend we were told it is being discontinued. So I call the one in Murrieta while eating my soup at the Temecula location and am told whoever said that is sitting on a throne of lies. Which made me laugh, Husband and I get up and leave to make our way to Murrieta, omg what a difference, bright , clean and friendly service. word to the wise if your going to dennys head to Murrieta you will not be disappointed.. read more

The claw machine is too expensive and never ever works! Wasted too much money on it and didn't win a thing! The price went up and I'm pissed! As an avid Denny's-goer, I'm extremely disappointed in this. I always win prizes for the kids in the restaurant and for my friends. But now it's just impossible without spending $20 The service is wonderful. I love coming here and speaking with all the staff. The food is delicious and the customers are entertaining at night. A friend and I had business in Temecula very early in the morning when not much is open. I hadn't been to Denny's in about 14 years, but not much else was open so my friend convinced me to give it a shot. I am so glad I did! From the moment our server sat us he put smiles on our faces. He was personable, friendly, humorous, accommodating and attentive. We spent almost two hours there and he kept the refills coming and never failed to check up on us with a smile. I ordered a bunch of the limited time Hobbit themed food and everything was quite good. The sausage was tender, the pumpkin pancakes were delicious and the fruit was fresh. The lemon poppy-seed french toast and the red velvet pancake puppies were also awesome. I will definitely be back, or at the very least I'll give a Denny's closer to home a try! read more

Worst experience possible. Asked how many were in our party and the waitress walks off throwing menus on a table and walks away. Noone offerd a highchair for my daughter or drinks until the joke of a manager walks up to take our order without writing anything down. Our stand by dennys which we have been coming to for years Today I was going to write a review but I can't We came in the host told us to pick any table We did And we're promptly ignored for 15 minutes So we left Review is over So here we go again Went here today for a quick lunch ( so we thought) Were seated at 11:50am and promptly were ignored until 12:05pm Apparently not enough wait staff for the room? Placed our order indicating we were under a time crunch and the waitress told us it wasn't possible. The person in our party with the deadline had to leave without eating The other two stayed, ordered and finally received our food 20 minutes after ordering (basic breakfast stuff) Got the receipt, went to pay and we were asked about the food and service. I said food was ok and service was extremely slow. The cashier mumbled " sorry" took my money, and we left I think after coming here for 17 years it's about time to find another option for a quick and cheap breakfast. As with most places, it appears the majority of the "reviews" are by highly impatient individuals with a serious sense of unwarranted self-importance. I've been to this location quite a few times over the past few years, be it for dining in or the occasional breakfast to go, and I've never once had a bad experience (Crystin was great today btw). The service has always been timely, the food is good, and the staff is friendly (especially when you consider how many drunk/ornery/impatient/self-important people they've had to deal with). The fact is, the world's an imperfect place, and if your greatest problems in life are your coffee taking a few minutes too long or not being hot enough, I truly envy you. Please stop taking it out on your fellow human beings trying to earn a living, and do try working in a restaurant before leaving those sorts of reviews. read more

Went to this Denny's after 9pm with my family while visiting my daughter and son-in-law in Temecula on the 27th. First off, they only had two servers on duty, one for each half of the restaurant, so service was excruciatingly slow. Ordered coffee (which was the only good thing that night I had) and we all ordered meals. I ordered the Talapia with zucchini and wild rice. The Talapia was VERY FISHY, and for those of you who know fish, the stronger the smell, the older it is. And, It was tough, not flaky. The zucchini was overcooked to almost mush and so was the rice. Both of them nearly tasteless. The dinner salad that came with it was pure iceberg crap, and again, old tasting. None of our meals were worthy of any praise. For the money, we could've been much better at IHOP, and they ain't the greatest either, but they are certainly an upgrade from Denny's! No More Denny's for me EVER! read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. Super long wait, and what's worse is that the manager didn't acknowledge my party or the one before me, who were also waiting to be seated. He walked by a few time, slow, like he hates his job and everything that comes with it, without even looking at us! We finally got seated, only to take another 30 minutes for the waiter to take our order. Two of our orders came out after approximately 15 min, then took 45 for the rest! If it wasn't because we had a long drive home, and had already wasted time there, I would have walked out! I gave it 1 star only because I couldn't move forward without doing so. I don't think this Denny's knows what the heck it is doing. I ordered the Grand Slamwich and they made their own dish wrong. I didn't ask for it modified but I got something they wasn't anywhere close to what I have had at other Denny's. Worst Denny's I've ever been to !! My boyfriend and I came in just for desert as we walked in the first thing I notice was that the did not have the AC running it was musty and smelling like BO !!! I should of walkout but I really wanted my banana spit so I gave them a chance ! After waiting 15 min for our waitress to take our order she comes back with water with no ice and to top it off it took her 20 min to bring us our ice cream and she forgot to make the ice coffee so we had to wait again !! By far the worst service from any restaurant ever. The hostess pointed to a nearby table and told us to go sit there. Then she came after wards wither the menus. Our waitress took forever to get to us. After ordering drinks, a very long time went by till the busboy brought them. By the time she came back for our order, I had been out of coffee for awhile. She said she'd be right back with more coffee. Again after some time had gone by, the busboy brought my coffee. Yes they were busy, but there were plenty of staff running around. Some were so busy visiting with each other to take time to handle customers. I recently discovered this treatment seems consistent across two local Denny's restaurant. My recommendation is go to IHOP. UPDATE: Gave them one more chance last night for dinner. Four of us were seated very quickly, but again asked to choose which of four tables we wanted. Drink orders taken, long wait till arrival. Waitress finally came to take our order, which we had decided on for quite some time. As time went by, witnessed three tables get up an leave, the third actually said they have to go and that they had been waiting for their food for an hour. With so many departures, our food came up not too long later. Guess you have to have a vacant restaurant to get quick service. After this episode I have developed a severe eye problem...I cannot see myself returning to any Denny's till I hear they have revamped their staff training. read more

I just had breakfast at this Dennys. The service was quick. Food was so, so. My eggs were supposed to be well medium done but very fluid as if not we'll cooked. The pancakes were not well done either, but ok to eat. My pancake plate was greesy all around, as if it had not been washed. Disgusting! Encountered a flie hovering over my food. Not good at all. Their french toast was tasteful & well done. Got two cups of coffee. The food here is just like any other Denny's I've been to and the service is a little unpredictable. It's one of the few places in Temecula that has 24 hour service. When I come it is usually after midnight and is easily one of the best places in town to people watch around that time. read more

Overall I have to say that I wish I could give it less than one star. the food was not good I had a chicken fried steak that was over cooked with a gravy that had zero flavor. The atmosphere is so loud inside the actual restaurant because there's nothing to absorb sound inside so it is like going to a convention. on top of all that the food actually cost more than Penfolds right across the street that has food that tastes three times better. read more

This Denny's is terrible. Dirty and the parking is small. I've been here twice and botht times have really been bad experiences. This review is based off of my experience a few moments ago. My husband called in an order for dessert to go. I wanted a brownie with ice cream. The person on the phone said ok. He gets there it isn't ready. To top it off they offered him an apple crisp in place of the brownie they didn't have. Why not say that over the phone and what is the purpose of call ahead ordering if 1. The order isn't ready to pick up 2. You should let people know you do not have the item they ordered. An apple crisp is nothing even close to a brownie. I do not recommend this dump. read more

I've been to this Denny's twice. The first time I went was because the Denny's closer to my home was only serving desserts and salad. Mind you, it was 1 in the morning. The closest Denny's was this one and it was definitely worth the drive because it beats eating at IHOP. I had the T-bone steak and shrimp plate with steamed broccoli with my cousin. It was so good. The steak was cooked exactly how we wanted it. The breading around the chicken was a little salty but it was still pretty good. I love the people that work here at this late hour. They are so friendly and always check up on you to make sure you are doing alright. They also refill my water before I even realize my glass was empty to begin with.
