We had Rachelle as our server twice this week randomly. My son's birthday was Wednesday so we went with a couple of friends and we went for breakfast yesterday morning with my husband and were sat in her section again. We really enjoyed having her as a server. She's so sweet and friendly and really paid attention to all of our needs. She was super attentive, making sure our drinks were always topped off, and we always had plenty of sugars and creamer ( my husband goes through A LOT of those!!) The food was brought out promptly and she offered dessert which is huge for me! I love to be offered desserts to order because sometimes we forget but always go for it when offered! Terrible!!! Terrible!!! So, we have been there twice and both times were very similar experiences. This time we ended up walking out and will never return. I can't review the food because we never got served....but it's Dennys so the food is probably the same at all of them. As I said....we never got served. It took them literally 17 minutes for them to even acknowledge us after being seated. An older waitress came up and asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered to coffees and an orange juice. She left and never came back. Meanwhile she continued to serve others, some who came in after us. Obviously we were forgotten. Another waitress finally came over and it was back to square one. We ordered our same drinks again. She brought our drinks but no spoons or napkins. We asked for the wares so we could stir our coffee / creamer. Again, poof!! No return. After a total of about 30 minutes we decided to walk out. Honestly I feel foolish for even waiting that long. We will never go back there again. Worst service ever!! read more

Nathen the general manager is amazing!! His staff hands down has to be the best I've seen from a Dennys. This franchise is a well oiled machine. Everyone seems to know their purpose and cares about providing great service. It was a pleasure just enjoying our meal over the weekend and seeing the hustle from all the staff. Every time I've eaten at this location, the food was subpar, as was the service. Many mistakes are made to meals and I've had to point out the need corrections. For instance, my daughter was brought a salad that they initially forgot about, then was given no dressing and we had to ask for that. I was also given watered down sprite when I ordered plain lemon water. We have waited up to 15 minutes for our drinks after being seated. Most of the time, the employees are very nice, but can't correctly take and deliver orders. As of 8-6-22, I do not recommend the brisk-it-all melt...we had to request more meat for the sandwich as there were only a few pieces and they looked burnt on the outside. I always try to show some grace for the servers. We all have bad days or maybe someone is new and gaining experience, but on one instance, I could tell our server was getting overwhelmed when taking our desert order and was a little rude about it. My friend & I visited this location today to get a cold beverage (on a HOT Tucson day) and an appetizer. We opted for counter seating and Cold Brew Coffee and smoothie along with an appetizer combo. Our server, Rachelle, was beyond fabulous! She took exceptional care of us during our visit. She took our dietary needs into account & ensured we had multiple sauce options to sample. We went on a Sunday morning, expecting it to be busy. They were very short staffed and from the get go let us know the service and food might take a while. We got our food in a timely manner regardless and our server Kacey was phenomenal. She was sweet and efficient and still was able to help out in the kitchen! Okay, so I know that giving Denny's 4 stars seems a bit of a stretch. Denny's is Denny's. Solid pre-fab diner food. The 4th star is for the service from Carmen. Normally I am not a Denny's person... but we have limited options in Vail and this place just opened up close by. It was very busy, Sunday late AM breakfast crowd. We waited a reasonable 10-ish minutes for a table. When seated a very friendly Carmen came right up and took our drink order. She was very engaging throughout, took our food order quickly and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Despite the busy breakfast hustle the restaurant was clean. Food tasted solid, you know... it is Denny's. I am a little put off by the 1 and 2 star reviews as this place is brand new and likely still working out kinks in staff both in the kitchen and on the floor. Folks are super unforgiving I guess with newly opened places. read more

Inexperienced cook, slow service. I don't expect a lot from Denny's, but I do expect the food to be fully cooked. I got hashbrowns that were black on the outside, and raw in the middle. My wife's pancakes were barely brown on the outside and gooey in the middle. It took an hour for this quality meal to make it to our table. We ended up not paying for the pancakes, and went down the road to a McDonalds, where at least the food it's dependable. read more

A few months back, we went to the rita ranch, tucson dennys. There was no value menu, the waitress told us we had to ask for it. Fast forward to today, we asked for the value menu, we were told it's locked in the office. Management decided that since it's the holidays, we went on 12/30, that they don't want people to use that menu to make more money. We called another dennys, drove 18 minutes and took our business there, never again will we go to the rita ranch dennys, pure greed. read more

I've reviewed this location before but I feel the need to do it again. The employees are nice but just don't seem to ever get it together. I ordered red skinned potatoes to go and they gave me one full order and one half filled order. When I went back to have them fix it they scooped about 4 more tiny pieces inside, put the container in the bottom of the bag so I wouldn't see it right away and sent me out. I also realized they raised the prices of the pancakes and reduced them to HALF THE SIZE of what they used to be. I don't know if this is at this location only or every Dennys but to raise your prices while also shrinking the sizes or your portions is a terrible business practice and I won't be returning. read more
