We had a wonderful evening at Denny's with our grandkids! We weren't sure at first if going out for dinner was the best move that night, but we are so glad we tried it. From the moment we walked in, the experience was great. The greeter was wonderful--I didn't catch her name, but she was so welcoming and got our drinks to us immediately. Our server, Margarita, was absolutely awesome. She got our entire order just right and made sure every detail was on point throughout the meal. We also want to recognize the cook, Victoria. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared! A special thanks to the manager, Aleah for overseeing such a great team. We are very thankful to have such a nice, welcoming place to bring our family for a meal. I highly recommend this Denny's (especially this location at 555 North Freeway, Tucson) to anyone looking for great service and a happy family atmosphere! read more

Why have I been sleeping on Denny's? It's probably been 10+ years since I last stepped inside a Denny's, but this company has experienced a glow up! I was craving "breakfast for dinner" but didn't feel like cooking, so we drove on over. The inside of the restaurant has been tastefully re-decorated and felt cozy, while still being clean. I ordered the veggie omelette, and swapped the Swiss for cheddar. I was surprised to see that it was chock full of freshly grilled vegetables, including spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, and caramelized onions. It was truly one of the better omelettes I've had at any restaurants, in a long time. It came with hash browns and toast, which you can swap for pancakes at no extra charge. I added chocolate chips for a nominal fee. The portions were large and I was unable to finish my meal, there was plenty to share. My dining partner took a chance on the spaghetti and meatballs, at the recommendation of our server. Apparently, the meatballs were inedible and the pasta/sauce was fine. I'm not surprised, next time she won't order spaghetti at the breakfast diner- but just a heads up for anyone else who is curious. Minus one star for the bad pasta dish. Went to Denny's. Horrible horrible experience was only in there for three minutes. Walk-in guy says sit in a booth. OK well both booths were dirty. So I moved to a table. Noticed that the table was also dirty. He came over with menus. I said dude the tables dirty he goes what there's food on the table and it looks like they're spilled coffee. I said do you want me to move somewhere else? His answer was I don't really care where you sit OK so maybe being who I am well, I'm fixing to go sit my butt at IHOP. He goes OK that sounds good to me. So so very bad I think with this experience I might need to call some kind of corporate office. read more

Just getting the bad stuff out of the way, the bathroom was the stankiest, most "bleh" bathroom I have literally ever seen in my life. It was kinda small too. A note to this Denny's: If you actually cleaned your bathroom, you would probably have five stars by now. I have a cleaner bathroom than this in my own home. I might be coming back, so I expect a clean bathroom please. I am not trying to be offensive by saying all of this . The food was amazing, but I am vegetarian, and it was disappointing that there were not many options for me to eat. The only 100% good thing was that our waiter was one of the nicest waiters I have ever met in the waiter world. She actually talked to us in a kind way like we were good friends and made small talk, whereas waiters from others restaurants just take your order and go. The waiter also served the food very quickly and efficiently. So in all this was a very OK restaurant, because it wasn't too bad or too good. Pancakes should not have burnt particles on the surface ( clean your grill), the sausage were terrible (dry), my bacon was rubbery, the hash browns were over cooked, and that tasteless lemonade. My waitress was mediocre! However the other table had a friendly person( 4 years at this location). I tipped her because she tried to make things right by ordering me another hash brown. The second one came back raw, just a light crisp on the top! Retrain your staff or start over!! Actually, the manager should oversee his workers. I am sending photos to corporate office. Me and a friend of mine went to Tucson after work on Thurs, 11/20 for a Comedy show. We stopped here for a bite to eat prior to the show and met 2 of the funnest, nicest people. Don't get me wrong, the atmosphere was good, establishment clean and it was topped with good company! Margarita was our server and Victoria was our cook! Victoria was playing good music in kitchen, singing and dancing while she was cooking our food! Girl definitely put love in it! The food was on point and it made for laughter when we all joined in and sang the songs. Our server Margarita was very attentive, nice, talkative and accommodating!! I usually don't do reviews everyone can have a bad day but this was outrageous! I created this yelp account just so I could tell you how not to come here! I don't want to say racism but that's exactly what it felt like! This is the worst place you could ever order from! I ordered $50 worth of food! My husband went and picked up the order and we were missing some of our order! I called the restaurant just for the lady to tell me that she knows she packed up my whole order and the driver must have taken the food so he should be responsible! My husband the driver stole the food before he made it home... yeah sure that makes perfect sense! and then when he returned to the store to get the food we PAYED for the lady proceeded to say how does she know we're not stealing the food! I don't need to steal a $5 stack of pancakes and $4 worth of hash-browns! This is the worst experience I have ever encountered at any restaurant!
