CHECK YOUR FOOD!! My husband and I ordered the breakfast special, which included pancakes, eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage. After receiving our meal, we began eating and left the pancakes for last. As I was cutting into my pancakes, I noticed that my fork wasn't cutting through to the plate. I took my fork and lifted up my pancakes to find A USED PLASTIC GLOVE that had been taken off of a cook's hand! I was absolutely disgusted and just out right shocked! We notified the manger on duty. She apologized, didn't charge us for our meal and offered to replace my pancakes. At that point, my husband and I had completely lost our appetite. There was no way we wanted more food from that kitchen. Let's just say that I will not be returning to this Denny's! read more

I had the pleasure of dining at Denny's a couple of weeks ago and was amazed of staff and management made me feel welcome, this was prior before informing me of a slight dilemma. I arrived late in the evening and was told I'm sorry we can only serve orders for take out due to lack of staff and one server being a minor needed to clock out. I said I understand and stated I drove about ten miles to get a good late evening breakfast. The manager John stepped up and said I will be your server and address the situation to accommodate me.As I was waiting for my food I see him assisting his young server that has to clock,out helping her sweeping the floor so she can meet requirements of her schedule. My food has arrived and a son and dad arrive John states the same scenario and apologized for not being able to accommodate their needs. They say no problem and walk out, John then turns and says I,know this guy from coming in here and he just got off work, he goes outside tells the two come back in he will serve their needs in getting their order. I am in the sale and service industry of extremely high end retail operation if I had an individual such as you have with this gentlemen I,would hope you realize a company man that cares not about himself but his firm. I stated that to,him with my words being I hope they treat you right because good ones are hard to find. I usually do not write reviews but I felt this was justified. Over 75% of the tables were empty and we waited 10 minutes to have the manager come to the front to seat us. She said we had to wait to be seated because they were short staffed. I told her I had no problem waiting at a table and I understood being short staffed but I wasn't going to stand in the cold by the door. She told me I could leave. read more

So this review pains me to do because I like Denny's There is only one server on a Saturday night that works ( I hope he gets great tips!!) so be prepared to wait. Hopefully this is not normal but it's becoming a trend everywhere. They did give away the person in front of me foods to someone else so that person is now waiting for new food I'm hoping it's ok. We went this past Saturday for the 6.99 slams. When we walked into the door we had to wait for a few minutes for the hostess. But when she did come out she immediately looked at the few people waiting and said " good morning and I will be with you all in just a few seconds." She then checked out the customer that was there and then seated us. I am soo appreciative of her saying that. So many other places don't even acknowledge our presence. Our service was wonderful, the food was yummy and hot. And at checkout I told the hostess that I appreciated her saying that to us. Grand opening today Greeted with a warm welcome to Denny's Host was Madisyn very polite and seated us promptly . Server was Britney. Very friendly and attentive to my family's needs Food was very appealing and tasted absolutely delicious. I had the salmon and my wife had the Philly cheese with chicken Also available with prime rib. My daughter had the chicken fried steak with red skin mashed potatoes. Every thing fresh and hot. I go to this. Denny's every Friday on my day off for a late breakfast. Always call in to pickup at least 20 minutes prior. Today I arrive, but food isn't ready. It wasn't busy but that's okay. After a 10 minute wait a young man at the counter tells me he will check for the meal in about 5 minutes. 20 minutes later Nothing! this kid was pretty dismissive and said nothing else to me. After 5 more minutes I just walked out. Luckily, still being hungry I discovered a Bakery and Deli up the street. Food was great!! Titus Bakery and Deli, I definitely recommend. read more

We were there Saturday November 4th. Only a few tables had customers but still had to wait 15 min to be seated as no one was at hostess stand to sit customers. When we finally got seated the waiter said he would be with us in a few minutes. He never came back. I noticed another waitress sitting in a booth and on her phone. After about 25-30 minutes we had to ask the manager if anyone was going to take our order. Manager finally took our order. I saw our food put under the warmer by the kitchen staff. The manager walked by our food 3 times and never brought it to us. The manger then sat at the service counter and was in her phone. Then manger went into the back. Thought she might be bringing our food but that was not the case this was another 20-25 min. Out of frustration we finally go up to leave. Then manger came out and said I was getting ready to bring your food. Told manager this was ridiculous as we waited over an hour and left. No one even stopped to refill drinks. Also my dad is in nursing home and can't walk so uses wheelchair. Just wanted to have him out for dinner but this was ruined by the horrible manager and staff at this Denny's. A total disaster! Lady who took order barely spoke English and was very rude. Got to curbside...waited 30 minutes....no food. I went inside and waited another 10 minutes. Finally got food. Order was completely wrong! I speak with the manager and he was as rude as you can get....screaming at me saying your food your problem. It was insane! Just tried our local Denny's for the first time. It's Sunday Morning around 11AM. Just me and my wife. upon entering, we were told they had just started a wait list and we were 2nd on the list (10-15 min wait). We could see there were 3 empty tables so figured it wouldn't be long. During the next 20 minutes, 8 tables emptied and checked out. No one waiting has yet been reseated. At this point the waiting area is packed. I asked the Host why it was taking so long and he said the Managers told him not to seat anyone until further notice. I asked to speak to the Manager and he responded that there were 3 Managers on duty. After 5 more minutes a Mamager Type came out of the back and spoke to one of the two Hosts. The Host then cane over to me and moved a portable sign between me and the eating area because the Manager said I was blocking the isle. I solved that problem for them by leaving. Will never go back! read more

The service our waitress provided was great. Probably one of the best. But the waiting time was painfully long. Spent around 40 minutes waiting for our food and when asked when it will be ready we are told our ticked was turned in about 10 minutes ago. The place isn't run effectively. Would of been understandable if the place had many people inside but that wasn't the case. Saw many people leaving because of how slow it was. read more

Terrible service at this location. Waitress seemed nice and attentive until we sat for 20 minutes waiting without so much as a checkin from her. When we finally got our food (brought to us by a different waitress) we had not even received our drinks yet. We pointed this out to the server that brought our food and then continued to wait for another 20 minutes just to get coffee and water, unable to eat more than a couple of bites with out something to wash it down with, meanwhile our meals became ice cold. I finally asked to see a manager and she came over with coffee about 5 minutes later, we explained we no longer wanted the food as it had grown cold while waiting for our drinks. The manager said and I quote, " Well, I can have them redo it but a 20 top just came in so it will be at least another 30 minutes. We declined (having worked in kitchens, I will never eat something that had to be sent back to the kitchen, less it come back with a spit and booger garnish) and she did clear the check, but it thoroughly pissed me off that so little effort was made to correct their mistake and that such a clear priority was given to the larger party that had been there 5 minutes as opposed to our 45 minute wait to get drinks and cold food. The food was great, what I could choke down without so much as a glass of water, I just wish the wait and management staff had as good a skill set as the kitchen. We love Denny's food but the two times we've ordered pickup/delivery from here they have forgotten an entire meal. They never refunded us for the first forgotten order and now today we are dealing with the same thing. Our delivery order was placed on the website but they use DoorDash... so when trying to get a refund for the missing order DoorDash pointed fingers at Denny's and Denny's pointed fingers at DoorDash. It was a mess. Be careful when ordering delivery or pickup from here. read more

I ordered online for in-store pickup For 2 Grand Slams. Auto reply said 20 mins and it will be ready. I must have picked the wrong day to go. Order took 1 hour. I waited there for 40 mins and thinking at least my order will be hot. It was not. The pancakes were old and rubbery as if they sat for a while. My drive home is less than five minutes. When I opened the packaging they did not provide any of the needed items like Syrup or Butter. It's a good thing I had syrup at hone for my food that wasn't that good. read more

Jamarr was the best server I have had anywhere in a long time. He was the only server at dinner time and was handling everything very well. He was very polite. Every time he walked up to our table he said "excuse me" and proceeded to ask about refills, food quality etc.. Jamarr needs to be promoted to manager as he has mastered his restaurant customer service skills. I hope that somehow this gets back to him that he is doing an outstanding job. read more

Horrible customer service. Staff isn't all on same page when it comes to seating parties together. We were told it would be no problem. Waited 30 mins to be put in booths 3 tables away from our kids. Many open tables closer together throughout restaurant. Staff wouldn't allow us to use any of those tables. Only the ones first offered. We left. This is not the first time Staff has been rude and unaccommadating. We will not be back. read more

Ordered for delivery and only got half my food and what did arrive was not prepared correctly. Was told to contact door dash because that is who they use for delivery. I told them door dash didn't make the food wrong and I wanted it corrected. Had to show up to the restaurant after calling 3 times and being hung up on to get my food. Got an excuse about being short staffed. Really couldn't care less that you don't have servers. Still doesn't explain why the food wasn't made right. This place won't last another 6 months. Terrible customer service. My 10 year old son ordered a child's chocolate milk, but an adult entree because the kids meal only had two chicken fingers and he wanted four. Instead of correcting the bill and not overcharging me $3 for a kids milk, I was told because he ordered the more expensive adult entree they could not give him the kid price on his milk even though the milks are the same size. It's really unfortunate because as a former server it would have been an easy fix and there was nothing on the menu that stated you had to buy a kids meal to qualify for the 99 cent chocolate milk. It's sad that I had to leave without tipping my server because I refuse to be overcharged for something and still tip. I guess there is a first for everything and this is my first at not tipping my server because he showed just how inflexible/reasonable he is. When I must be charged for an adult drink when my child qualifies for kids meal prices...that is beyond ridiculous. If you have growing kiddos I would stay away from this place to avoid being overcharged. There are too many excellent restaurants in Westfield to waste your hard earned money here. read more
