I've visited this location several times since my first visit and initial review. Most recently, my husband and I popped in for a quick lunch while out running errands. We were seated right away and sat in Emma's section. She was very soft-spoken and seemed a bit nervous (nearly spilling my husband's margarita at one point), but very attentive and thorough. We ordered the Wild West Shrimp as an appetizer. This has become one of my favorite things to order here. Then, I went with the Caesar Salad topped with salmon and my husband ordered the Soup & Salad combo (house salad w/ the shrimp and lobster chowder). The food came out fairly quickly and I have to say that my salad did not look very appetizing. The salad didn't have any croutons, so I requested some. The lettuce appeared limp and soggy and the parmesan was mostly melted due to the warmth of the salmon, I'm guessing. It took a lot of peppering, fluffing and finessing before I could bring myself to eat any. In the end, I filled up on the Wild West Shrimp and ate the salmon off of the salad. My husband enjoyed his soup and salad. This is still a decent, casual place for a "better than fast-food" experience and I will say that they do steaks very well here! Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, making it a great spot for a family dinner. This location is a lot bigger than the one I'm used to going to. We came on a Monday around 1pm and there were barely any people in the restaurant. We were immediately greeted by the host for our table. We were sat at a big comfy booth and greeted within 1-2 minutes from our server. I forgot they give you bread. I opted out, but it's always delicious and comes with butter. We ordered the appetizer steakhouse wings and the spinach dip. The wings were soooo flavorful, hot, fresh and seasoned extremely well. There were about 8-10 wings if I recall (i ate them fast haha). The spinach dip was hot and creamy. It came with fried pita bread, which is fantastic. I ordered the grilled red rock shrimp with broccoli instead of rice and a sweet potato. The sweet potato comes with cinnamon sugar mixture and butter and honestly i am obsessed with it. The shrimp was also flavorful and the broccoli was great, overall good bang for my buck. Someone at my table ordered the chicken sandwich and that piece of chicken was HUGE. The fries were fresh and the other person at my table ordered the rose's filet which was cooked to perfection. Also, they're strawberry lemonade was delicious. Our server Shantel/Chantel (sorry if I misspelled) but she was great and everything came out perfectly. I haven't been to longhorn in quite some time, but i enjoyed the meal. We eat at LongHorn Steakhouse about twice a week and usually have a great experience. However, yesterday we sat for 30 minutes without being given silverware. When our food arrived, we had to mention that we still didn't have any utensils before they finally brought them. Surprisingly, we are currently at the E. 82nd St. location and the same thing happened earlier in the week at the W 86th St location...again--we were not given silverware and had to ask for it. This is the first time we've experienced this issue, but twice in a row is disappointing. I hope this doesn't become a regular problem. read more

Young man at the host stand was less then enthusiastic. Barley looked at us and spoke at a whisper. Not the person you want to greet people. If I understood correctly we were quoted 20 to 25 min wait at 645. I was very patient and waited till 730 to ask about our table. They said they sent a text but had taken our number down wrong. They said they sent a text 30 min ago. Managers need to step up and run their business. Train greeters to speak up maybe say the number and name back. I did receive a text while we were eating ( see photo ) so how was my number wrong but i got this text? We were then sat in the bar area. The bar area at the LH in Traders Point is no wait. I don't know if it is here. If so, we wasted 45 min in the lobby when we didn't need to. From walking in the building to finishing and paying it was 2 hours. Our server was the only saving grace. She was very friendly and sweet. Initially my entree was brought out wrong. The runner took it back and grabbed the right one. Food was good. And our server was good. She was also the bartender. My students decided that they wanted longhorn steak house as their pre college lunch, and I had to oblige them, we came to the 82nd street location, the staff was amazing and the location was homey and clean. Service was attentive but not overbearing, which I love. To drink I had a tasty strawberry lemonade, I had to try one of my students chicken wings, and it was a great Buffalo wing, for my main course, I had a petite fillet medium rare with a side of Mac and cheese, it was delicious! Poor customer service. Tables and floor filthy. Manager walked past us a couple of times at the bar and never asked have we been helped or if we needed anything. Bartender sat in our face and counted receipts and never acknowledged us. Food on table and bar were just laying there and flies were on them. We came in on a Tuesday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. When we walked in there was nobody at the host stand and it took awhile for anyone to come over to get us seated. Once we were seated, it also took a long time to get drinks. I ordered the parmesan crusted chicken with a Cesar salad a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. The bread came out, and it was warm and delicious! Shortly after my salad came out. It took a little while for the entrees to come out, but once they did my dish was warm and flavorful. The chicken was tender and had a nice sear to it. The mashed potatoes were okay, they did not come with gravy and instead were filled with a ton of melted butter. Overall the food was much better than the service. Service was slow, and our waiter never refilled our drinks leaving all of us out of water for the majority of the meal. read more

We love going to Longhorn and would probably eat there more often if they had one closer to our house. I fell in love with their spicy chicken bite's several years ago and found out they will toss the chicken tenders in them as well. So when we go for lunch that's what I get. We got the Texas tonions for our appetizers and they were hot and fresh but overcooked. Back to the tenders I love the fact they are hand breaded and not like many restaurants who use frozen tenders. It makes a huge difference to me. Fresh always tastes better. If they sold that sauce they dip the spicy chicken bites in we would buy a bottle. It's delicious. read more

COVID-19 has caused many restaurants to scale back on portions while raising prices; However, Longhorn Steakhouse doesn't fall short on flavor or portions. We were given a gift card to dine here and the service and food did not disappoint. The bread came out warm and filing. The seafood dip with shrimp and crab was delicious but the deep fried pita chips that came with it stole the show. I ordered the cowboy pork chops with the Parmesan crust. The chop were well seasoned and juicy. Our server, Shantell, was amazing. She made sure our drinks stayed full and was very attentive. We ended up taking half our meals home. Stopped in for late lunch today, just me. Walked in and waited several minutes before walking around to the bar and asking the bartender/server if it was ok to site at the bar, she said yes. Waited a few minutes, then got up and walked back around the corner and got my own menu. Absolutely none of my comments are that people weren't working the girl that was the bartender and also waiting on tables and the manager in the business shirt were both working that's not any of my issues. I waited tables for quite some time, MANY years ago! I may ask for things and may be a bit specific but I absolutely ask for what and how I'd like things from the jump. I don't "run" staff!!! Ordered chicken fingers, fries with a side of ranch and a side of wing sauce; added a side Caesar, light on the dressing. Salad came out drenched in dressing (photo attached). Had to ask for bread. Food came out with a side of wing sauce, no ranch. Had to ask for it ----- was never asked if everything was ok one time during the meal. Ate about 1/3 of gross salad, 3 of 6 chicken fingers and maybe 25% of my fries. Had to flag her down again ---- asked for ALL I needed at one time: a box, soufflé cups with lids for sauces, a tea to go and my check. She handed me a kid size box and took off. They were just behind counter a few feet from me so I got a second myself. She never came back ---- asked the mgr. who was washing glasses for the soufflé cups with lids, tea to go and my check. He got all for me then the waitress popped up as I was filling out the tip to wish me a good day ---- ggggggrrrrrrrrrr. So I left trying to juggle 2 boxes, 2 cups and my tea ---- what do YOU think made it to my car???!!! NOT HAPPY!!! I should NOT HAVE HAD TO ASK FOR A DARN SACK!!!! The staff was friendly and totally friendly and amazing! Shout out to the 2 ladies that were greeters and checked us in! It was definitely not their fault that the restaurant is not accommodating for large gatherings, btw it was 8 of us. They need to make more seating and at least have it to where people who are just sitting at the table for 2 1/2 hours can be asked to leave there's another party waiting, we were told they can't ask people to leave but that is kinda ridiculous to some degree. We waited over 15 minutes just to be sat, when there were hardly any other diners. Upon being sat, no kids meals were brought so I had to go grab some myself, then find someone to get crayons from. Our service was terrible, my food was excellent, others was just okay. No ones steak was cooked how they requested it. Salads were very salty. oh AND they had no lemonade!!! Long story short, everything took so long. Took awhile to get our server to come back to take our order, took a long time to receive our food, and took a long time to receive our checks. Came here with my family recently and had a nice time. Our server was perfectly competent - effective and present throughout the meal. We started with some stuffed mushrooms and some shrimp (with spice removed! My wife hates spice) and it was all pretty darn solid. The complimentary bread was also tasty - nothing outstanding, but it got the job done. I got a steak for my entree (big surprise, eh?) with broccoli and mashed potatoes on the side. I got it cooked medium rare and I'd say they delivered on the temperature. It was very tasty! Once again, not the best steak I've ever had, but I was happy at the end of it. I got the parmesan-crusted cheese but had no idea it was so salty, and it covered the entire steak. So I sent it back because the salt overpowered the steak, and I couldn't eat it. When they remade my steak, they overcooked it. They offered to remake it a third time, but my husband was almost done with his meal, so I declined.
