I left a review at Dependable Rooter & Plumbing and was then asked if I would like to place a review at a few social media sites. This is the only complaint I can think of, as I wished I had copied my review before sending it. The quality of service from both the person at their call center and from the technician Sean, were outstanding. My entire sewer line backed up (big tree, lots of roots) at a very bad time. Yes I know there is never a good time, but it was 8 PM and my daughter had just started a cleanse for a medical exam she was taking the next day. We also had a sit down dinner/engagement party for 80 people, that weekend. Before finding Dependable Rooter & Plumbing, I called 3 other company from my Google search that advertised 24 x 7 emergency service. None answered my call. I was sent to voicemail by all 3. The person at the Dependable Rooter & Plumbing call center estimated a 20-30 minute Technician on-site arrival time. 15 minutes later, I received both a text and a call back, Sean was on his way. He arrived on time. He asked me to explained what was happening, asked a few clarifying questions and then provided me a quote, if the main sewer line needed to be rootered. I accepted the quote and after a few rooter runs with his initial claw, he showed me the issue with the camera he inserted into the line. There was still a mess of roots. He then went to his van and came back the "big" claw. A few hours later, he finish and showed me the results via the camera. All but the largest root was removed. He then provided me some excellent preventative action advice, I should begin thinking of, to address future root invasions. I never felt he was trying to push additional services or cost. This level of service is difficult to find. They met their commitment, on time and at the quoted cost. This is what I will I expect from any company that touts 24 x 7 emergency service. When my toilet overflowed the other night, I was in a panic; to say the least. It was late afternoon and our only toilet. I have two children and was not sure how we would endure the evening without use of our camode. I figured I would call around and make a appointment for the next morning, and stay with family that evening. I called Dependable Rooter, and I am so thankful I did. The Lady on the phone listened to my concerns and was very friendly. She let me know that she could have someone out that same afternoon. I explanied that I live on a fixed income and could not afford to pay exuberant emergency fees. She seemed to hear what I was saying and explained that they are very fair priced with high value. Within a short time, she had sent out a nice gentleman named John. He showed up very clean. Unlike I invisioned a plumber to look like. He diagnosed that I just had a small stoppage. He then went over the price with me, and gave me options ( including where to find extra savings ). Once we agreed on a option, he got right to work. He was able to get my toilet up and running very quickly.The peace of mind he has given is unwaverable. I now know that if my kids happen to use to much t.p. and my toilet backs up, I will call Dependable Rooter right away. read more

I wanted to take a moment to write about the exceptional work done at my house today by Dependable Plumbing. A valve that I use to turn off water to the inside of the house failed... It was about 5 pm, and I turned off the water to change a sprinkler head in my backyard, and when I turned the water back on, the pipe burst. I called several other plumbers, and none of them returned my calls. I called Dependable plumbing and received a call back within a few minutes. the person I spoke to said that while they didn't have any plumbers that could come out in the evening, they would have somebody there, first thing in the morning, at 6:30am. The technicians arrived on time and performed the work perfectly. Once the water was turned back on, we noticed that the sprinkler heads in the front yard were now leaking. I had only scheduled to fix the one pipe, but Dependable Plumbing came back later today, in the afternoon and fixed the two leaking sprinkler heads. I can't thank Dependable Plumbing enough for the superb job, and excellent customer service they provided my family. I called on this company because I had used them in the past and their personnel, craftsmanship and demeanor were all the very best. I wasn't disappointed with their work this time either. All prescribed work was predetermined and discussed with me, and the total cost was outlined and agreed upon. Before any work was commenced, the team prepared the work area and the traffic area of my home to ensure cleanliness throughout the duration of the job. My tenant reported that the toilet was not filling up completely between flushes and made an unusual "running sound." I had no idea where to begin fixing a toilet. Ariana came out and knew right away what the problem was. We only fixed the problem and kept the cost down low. She informed me of a 5 year warranty on the part. Ariana also had a brief conversation with my tenant about what was going on. The reason for the repair was calcium build up in some part that had to be totally replaced. The new part can be flushed out when this problem is likely to repeat itself because of the hard water. So the new part is much better than the old one that was not detachable for cleaning. Last Friday evening, I logged onto their website and filled in a form to request a callback, not really expecting too much. But, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call back early Saturday morning indicating that a technician was available at around 8 that morning. Brian showed up right on time, and was able to diagnose the problem that I was having with my bathtub spout and pipe. It turned out to be a more involved task than a simple spout replacement. But Brian was very patient and thorough throughout the process. He obviously takes a lot of pride in his work. Now, everything is working great again. She went over different possibilities, and narrowed down the best solution for my situation. She also looked over another problem that will need to be fixed in the near future, and her recommendations were very helpful, and the estimate was, again, at a fair price, especially compared to some of Dependable's local competition. Ariana and Javier came to fix my toilet tank. Based on the decription I told them it was initially thought that it was the fill pump. Ariana explained their process with regards to pricing and repair. Upon further inspection, Ariana discovered the cause of the problem. It turned out that repair cost was less. Ariana showed the cause of the problem and what had to be done to fix it. She quickly repaired it. I appreciated that they explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner and their professionalism. Sebastian with Dependable Rooter was professional and efficient. My plumbing was backed up between the kitchen and the laundry plumbing lines. Sebastian assessed the problem thoroughly by inspecting under the house. He quickly cleared the clog and cleaned the area completely. Also, he showed me another clog between my dishwasher and the garbage disposal. He gave me an estimate that was reasonable and showed me the clog. I am so glad he caught this disgusting back up since it was causing water to recirculate into the dishwasher. We had a root that broke into our sewer line under the concrete slab of our home. Dependable Rooter & Plumbing came out and diagnosed the issue and gave us some options to choose from. After heavy rain (end of day) my front flood pump stopped working or pumping water out. Dependable Rooter & Plumbing offered a technician by 9AM the next day. What a relief!! They sent Taylor Irik. I can't thank him enough for instructions on my pumps because I'm a new homeowner. I have 1 sump pump and 2 outdoor flood pumps... yikes! I'm always worried my basement will flood, it almost has twice! For flooding Taylor suggested the most simple inexpensive solution, battery operated water/sump alarms. I didn't know these existed and I'm off to buy 7 of them. If these alarms go off, I'm calling Taylor with Dependable immediately! read more

Dependable Rooter And Plumbing came out to my place when my first plumber canceled on me ( for the 2nd time). Nate and Jose arrived on time. They were both very pleasant and professional. They slipped on work booties before they entered the house. I had several small items to look at during my appointment. Nate made sure I knew how much each task would cost and didn't try to up sale or pressure me into a decision. I appreciated that very much. Both Jose and Nate worked hard and efficiently. Have never had such a good experience, with a plumbing company. All staff from start to finish were polite courteous and professional, they came in the middle of the night within 30 minutes of being called and a little over one hour later I was able to turn my water back on. They left my bathroom cleaner then it was prior to their arrival, I have used numerous different plumbing companies in San Jose, the only one I would recommend would be dependable rooter and plumbing!! Dependable called first and sounded very professional so I made an appointment. Joseph was sent out to do the job. He sized up the two situations , left to get the required parts and fixtures. I had a pipe break in my Living room hall, and called Andrew to come do a review of the other major pipes. He documented other pipes, showing pictures of the damage. I hired him to repipe, while the insurance contractor repaired the broken pipe and walls. The insurance team was not doing good work, so I asked Andrew if they could also pick up that work, and he did. The quality was outstanding.
