I purchased a 65 dollar facial off of Groupon as a gift for their photo facial/microdermabrasion/ glycolic peel which was supposed to be a 75 minute facial as advertised. The whole facial lasted maybe 45 minutes. I had to redeem the groupon on my end which was at 3:10. By 4:08 the person i had gifted was finished and already at their car. That is ridiculous false advertising and should be taken off. I believe this had to do with declining the facial packages but hey, had you have done your job for a 75 minute facial maybe people would be interested. The person executing the facial was gone for most of the experience as well. Definitely will NOT be returning. read more

I liked the way I was treated, procedures were well explained, my comfort level monitored ( microdermabrasion, glycolic peel, photo-facial are a bit challenging). Nader made recommendations for further treatments for my skin (Micro-needling) and I like the results. He has made suggestions but I've never felt pressured and am glad to have found this place. I was introduced to this place by purchasing Groupon. $600 for 6 sessions. Every visit I pay 200 for 2 people. I paid cash to help the business. On my 3rd visit, he tells me I owe $400- I said you would not have provided service unless I pay in advance. He raised his voice and told me I owe $400- not true. Not honest! I ended up paying $600 for 4 session. My skin not only did not improve, every time he zap my face, I ended up with more dark spot. Your tone was not acceptable right from our first interaction. I understand that I was late and I was not expecting you to go out of your way to accommodate me, I was very cordial, apologetic and I only requested once. I am sure you will admit that as well. Also, I was not late on purpose. There can be a delay for genuine reasons and traffic. So going forward, when you schedule appointments, you should keep a buffer to take care of such situations. So that you can be considerate towards all of your clients including the one who is late for genuine reasons! Also when you give the appointments, set the expectations right, specify that there is a paperwork involved and the person needs to be there half and hour before! I purchased a groupon for photo facial, dermabrasion and glycolic peel. When I called to make my appointment I spoke with Dee. She was very nice and set up my appointment. She also gave me very detailed directions to their location which I thought was interesting. On my way to the appointment, I realized how far out in Poway this was, and even though I didn't write down her directions what I remembered helped. Because of the location I knew I wouldn't be returning after my appointment. The inside was pretty nice. They had hot tea and a water feature. Since it is a spa, I was hoping some of the flowers would have been real. The room was ok. Dr. Nader (DOC) came in to do the services. He introduced himself and explained he is a chiropractor and an aesthetician. I can't help but wonder why a Doctor of Chiropractic is doing facials. Must be a lucrative business? I've had plenty of facials in the past. He did a quick cleanse. Applied the glycolic peel, which didn't feel like it was very strong at all. He used the lightest dermabrasion wand and did it very quickly. We went into another room for the photo facial. I thought it was going to be IPL. Dr. Nader did say this is not as strong. I let the Dr. know I was moving to NC this weekend so he wouldn't have to give me the speal on how many times I need to come in to really see the difference. I would not pay the full price for these services. All in all, not an amazing experience for me. I had all of this done on the 7th and I cannot tell/see a difference. read more

Bought a three session dermaplaning special and it was very, very disappointing. First session, it was mediocre, owner talked a lot and it was opposite of relaxing. He put a mask on me then left the room for 15-20 mins, I thought he forgot about me. Second session, my face and neck had five razer cut marks, by the owner. He also razered some side hairs which took months and months to grow back. I was dreading the third session but it was already paid for so just wanted to get it done. Drove from Carlsbad for these appointments, 75-90 mins round trip. The third session ended 20 minutes short. During the session, trying to relax, the owner kept talking and the one time I did not respond, he said "I'll respond for you... sure, sure." Very unprofessional. Owner is always forgetting something and needing to leave the room, turning on and off the bright lights, causing my eyes to water. Every session, the owner would "try" to sell me on "specials" that were "only going on until the end of the month." I will not come back here and will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had a serious allergic reaction to the treatment. It was a peel, microdermabrasion and the light treatment. I called the owner and told him I had terrible hives on my face and neck. His attitude turned really cool and he asked me to come in and show him., which I did that day. There was no mistaking the bright red, swollen, hivey irritation that covered my face. It was incredibly uncomfortable and lasted two weeks. All I asked him to do (4 different times) was to give me a list of the products he used so that I could avoid them in the future. He wouldn't do it! Did he have something to hide? I don't know. I too was asked to pay $45 to include the chest area. Unfortunately I agreed, so I got hives there too. Besides that, the whole facial (which was mediocre) was nothing more than a sales pitch to buy a continuing package. The appointment took months to get and wasn't even relaxing. I want to take the time and explain why I come here since 2010 (over 7 years) after I seen some harsh reviews. I started off with a groupon for IPL package. Initially, the treatment just doesn't work for my skin type (Asian, I tan easily). And yes, they did try to sell me package, and they do move me from treatment room to treatment room, and sometimes the relaxing time may be a bit long. I can understand why some first time customer may not be used to it. They do that because they truly do care about providing long term skin treatment (affordable package with payment plan), moving room to room is because one is for medical treatment and another is for regular spa (now I am used to it, I preferred this way so things are cleaner and more segregated). But what those reviews didn't tell you is the doctor see that the treatment didn't work for me and help me try out other service and dial in the right treatment for my skin. The pricing, package, and payment plan makes long term skin care possible. Additionally, in year 2012 I had to move to LA for a year and they still acknowledge my service a year later. So I will come to this business not just because they make my skin look nice, but they do care about me. read more

All other places I have been (except one) would consider these areas separate treatments and charge you more. I have been a client here for over a year. The treatment is fantastic and definitely produces results. My skin was instantly clearer and each subsequent treatment keeps it looking young and fresh. I do the glycolic peel, microdermabraison, IPL every 10 weeks and have recently started to alternate this treatment with the RT. As far as the up-sell I do not find that the case. Dr Nader and Pamela are very professional in their recommendations and of course it is up to the client to accept or decline the recommendation. I have accepted some and declined others. I have never felt pressured or belittled for not accepting a recommendation. Please do yourself a favor and at LEAST do the intro service at the 75% off price!
