The doctor has gotten too busy & has more nurse practitioners for new clients. If you wait too long to see him, more than 2~3 years without an appointment, you lose him for regular checkups, & then have to see the NPs instead. He might still perform surgery though if needed for you. Appointments can take months of waiting. Front desk might call back to request health insurance information again. They lost it the first time. To remind you of an upcoming appointment, they call twice to confirm. I prefer working directly with Dr. Moskowitz, due to better communication & better results with him in the past. He's fantastic. I trust his medical skills. Very few good medical & dental professionals in Central Florida, versus South Florida.

They were not. As it isn't possible to safely distance in so small an exam room, I expressed confusion with the *examining* medical staff not wearing masks (all patients I witnessed had masks on). I further explained that I've got immunocompromised family members, some of whom have recently had surgeries, and that they actually seemed *offended* that I dare ask that they exercise caution. In a medical setting. In cramped quarters. Where they are extremely close. It was explained "We don't even have masks in this office." Pardon ???? The doctor, also maskless, quickly disregarded my concerns and audible discomfort explained how "masks are optional here". Clearly, I surmised as much. Really no other information was given which struck me as unusual compared to my other intake calls with different practitioners. When I arrived early for my appointment (which was one of the earliest available in the morning) I filled out very brief paperwork and sat and waited to be seen. My appointment time came and went and I was finally ushered back to a room where an assistant asked a few more questions (why was I here, any family history of ____, etc.) and then I waited some more. I was surprised things were already seeming to run late even though it was still before 9 am. Half an hour after my actual appointment time, the doctor came in, said hello, asked why I was there, did an incredibly brief check of my arms and back--nowhere else-- and updated a prescription at my request (without probing for more information about the condition necessitating the prescription). The doctor was nice enough but I left feeling like I had not had a particularly thorough screening and there were no recommendations for future behaviors/products other than "be checked fairly regularly." The office staff were not particularly friendly, barely glancing at me when handling paperwork or payments; no smiles, no "how are you today?" and so on. I guess maybe I'm just used to other, friendlier office staff, but I didn't feel welcomed as a new patient here. Bottom line: My visit was brief and baseline. Previous dermatologist visits in other states involved thorough discussions of my family history with the derm, recommendations for skincare and sunscreen products based on my history and activity level, and careful skin checks all over my body. I really did not receive that here. I would like a practice with more thorough skin checks, prompt service, and friendly staff. I'll be visiting another dermatologist in the future.

Well my 1st try did not go well I had to end the exam before completion. The Team @ ODC in Longwood are AWESOME!!! They work with great empathy, compassion, and professionalism. My tech (Mike) and the Office Manager (Donna) did not hesitate to let me know that I could try again after I felt relaxed and comfortable. After 30 minutes, I felt my medication was working. I was able to complete my MRI. Donna offered to stay in the room with me and place her calming hand on my shoulder the entire time. Again, thank you guys for your patience and great customer service. I have been in the medical field over 35 years and, learned you cannot teach empathy and compassion it has to be in your heart, especially in the medical field and caring for people. God Bless C. The receptionist was kind and I could hear her talking to other people being upfront about cost differences and giving recommendations. I actually couldn't get a piercing out so I had to reschedule! The imaging tech tried to help me before too by giving me gloves and saline to see if it would loosen up. They were so flexible and i was able to come back a few hours later. They talked me through the mri process and made sure i was comfortable as well, even gave me a blanket because it's so cold in offices. The whole process was simple then they sent the images report directly to my primary.

She also has discovered several areas on my skin that needed attention. The two procedures that she has done to remove skin cancer have been flawlessly done. No real pain and have healed wonderfully following her suggested instructions. I would drive 5 days+ to see her with any dermatological needs.
