Derek is a hidden gem in Yorba Linda. Definitely a spot for a great breakfast. The food is beyond amazing and the service that's provided is excellent. What more can you ask for when Dining on the 18th hole? It's the ideal ambience for country club dining at a golf course.

We usually love going to Derricks but today must have had a substitute cook. Our server Roxanne was awesome but most of our food was overcooked. I had ordered the snow crab eggs Benedict. The muffin was tough and dried out, the egg yolks like hard boiled and the hash brown over cooked and dry. The air condition was so low we had to put sweaters on. The cold also caused our food to get cold quickly. This must have been a bad day but we're hesitant to return

Pretty good! We stopped in today for lunch. The wife got the Black Gold Burger and I got the Turkey Bacon sandwich on whole wheat focaccia bread. It was huge and really good. We sat on the patio on a gorgeous afternoon in So. Cal. The server was "Fred", who was very nice, attentive and a great server. Thank you Fred. Good times.

Yet another fantastic visit to Derricks at Black Gold Golf Club!!! This has become a favorite spot to enjoy delicious food that never disappoints and fun cocktails and/or champagne. Celebrating my birthday again with friends, where else would we go? The views, calming ambiance and fantastic service by Fred and Julio, cannot be beat. We even received a visit from sweet Joni Egger, the Director of Catering Sales & Events, and Marco, who both keep things running at top tier excellence. You are treated like family here and the food is always spot on! Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon!!

I found this place randomly trying to find food with baby girl something healthy and Derricks place came up. So decided to try it, I'm so happy I did. It's on a golf course, there is enough parking too when you drive up you think you're going into someone's neighborhood but it's a golf course and beautiful restaurant inside. We walked in and got to pick our seats, we decided to sit outside and embrace the beautiful heat and scenery! This place is gorgeous, Martin was our server he was very friendly and helpful, took our order quickly and brought our food out fast. This view is breathtaking, it's sort of busy here too. People are playing golf and having lunch what a beautiful gem I found never knew it existed here. I would absolutely recommend this place to try not too bad in price either. I ordered the chicken lettuce cups $16 and baby girl ordered the pancakes with chocolate chips $12 + $2 extra for chocolate chips. For a drink I got a orange fanta and baby girl got a sprite. My meal is tasty and not too heavy very delicious and healthy feeling! Thank you for fantastic food, fantastic service and absolutely beautiful ambience. I will absolutely come back here again. Have a beautiful day :) Aloha

I enjoyed a quiet breakfast on the patio with a gorgeous view of part of the Black Gold Golf Club course. The coffee was good. Fred, the server, was friendly and attentive. Great service! I ordered the cheese-filled crepes with cherries, new on the menu. The crepes were nicely done and not too sweet. The cheese filling had a nice texture and mild flavor which was perfect. The cherries tasted fresh, as did the whip cream. I would order it again and really liked it. The serving portion was good, too. I really had a good experience on a beautiful summer morning. Lovely location. You do not have to belong to this club to eat there. That's nice.

I really enjoyed the waitress on this day! Not only was she inviting, she was so awesome about everything we ordered and wanted. She made suggestions and ensured we were takers the whole time. We tried a few different items, from the fish tacos, pork belly, fries, sandwiches, EVERYTHING IS A MUST TRY... Especially the alcohol LOL. I will be returning with my guest after the fact because the service was impeccable and the food was just as awesome! DONT FOR GET TO TRY THE CRACK POPCORN, TOTALLY WORTH EVERY DOLLAR :()

My husband and I got married here, and we absolutely love the balcony space here to eat lunch and watch the 18th hole. The servers are friendly, the food never disappoints, and the scenery is just beautiful! So glad we came back to visit and brought our little one to visit for his first time!

This place was amazing. The service and the food were excellent. Ordered the chilaquiles with carnitas and a salad with salmon. Both were very delicious! Totally worth trying out! Also, the view from the patio was a plus! Very nice scenery of the golf course! Any one can go to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere.

We chose to sit in the outdoor rooftop and the ambience was lovely, very cozy. We got the lump crab and avocado stack for an appetizer and it was so delicious! Crispy and well seasoned chips with fresh ingredients in the stack. My parents got the artisan pizza and the arugula salad with salmon and said it was delicious, especially raving about the dressing for the salad and the wonderful amount of meat on the pizza I got the wood fired mushroom pizza and it was soooo good. The crème fraiche wasn't overwhelming and the flavors were just spectacular. Definitely recommend for a nice and cozy dinner in the Yorba Linda area!

My sister originally chose Terra because she saw a picture of one of their salads with salmon and knew immediately that was what she wanted. We had no idea we were about to discover a new favorite restaurant. 10/10 -- I've already bookmarked Terra because I will absolutely be back. When we arrived, we told our server we had never been there before and asked what she recommended. Her descriptions of the food were fantastic, and she steered us toward the wood-grilled peaches with burrata and arugula. Oh. My. Goodness. Absolutely delicious! The grilled peaches, creamy burrata and arugula were such a wonderful combination. Then the salad came out, with salmon added. I took my first bite and was literally speechless. It was an explosion of flavor -- the avocado, salmon, sesame dressing and everything else going on in that salad just worked. The salmon costs extra, but it was absolutely worth it. The peach dish and the salad were completely different flavor experiences, and honestly I would happily order both of them again. We were talking about how we were gonna come back and try to resist ordering the same thing over again, but that will be a challenge. Of course, we were at a wood-fired pizza restaurant, so we HAD to try the pizza. We ordered half-and-half. One side was the fingerling potato pizza, especially after our server told us the story about the owner's daughter wanting fingerling potatoes on her pizza and how that helped inspire the restaurant. Obviously, after hearing that story, we had to try the pizza that started it all! And it did not disappoint. I can definitely see myself ordering that again. The other half was the salami pizza with the honey drizzle. It was supposed to have some heat -- my sister could taste it, although I couldn't -- and the honey made it a really interesting combination. Not something I would normally think to order, but definitely worth trying. I also ordered the citrus agave, thinking it was basically a fancy name for lemonade. It wasn't! Lemon, orange and lime made it much more interesting, with just a slight bitterness from the citrus that balanced the sweetness. Delicious and different. We sat upstairs, where there was a wonderful breeze coming through on a summer evening. The whole atmosphere was charming and relaxed, the service was excellent, and the food was memorable. The biggest surprise? Terra is right near my office, and I never knew it was there. Definitely a 10/10. I came because of a recommendation, and now I'm recommending it to everyone else. I will absolutely be back.

You order at a kiosk, take a number, and go sit at a table (indoors or out) where your food will be delivered. The same could be said of the panini which, aside from the prosciutto, included arugula, garlic aioli, tomato, and mozzarella (it usually comes with roasted bell pepper but I asked to leave that ingredient off). The sandwich came with a pedestrian house salad; some greens with four grape tomatoes and a balsamic dressing. There is a huge free parking structure across the street which makes coming here easy. Luckily, Soup n Fresh was in the same plaza and we've been bombarded by social media about how it was the second coming of soup plantation. It was over 100 degrees outside on a weekday lunch so we didn't really expect it to be very busy. When we entered, the host wasn't around and an employee insisted we stand outside in the 100+ degree weather to wait..... When the host came back, she said we didn't need to wait. At the end of the line, there was someone attempting to direct you towards a table, however it was confusing as some tables were marked with a paper saying it was taken? Food wise - it's no soup plantation. I remember really loving the Asian inspired salad and theirs just simply can't compare. It doesn't taste anywhere close to what I remember. The broccoli madness was close, but not perfect. Other than that....it was just a salad bar. They were good about refilling the salad bar, but they weren't good about refilling the fruit station at the end (wasn't refilled for over 1+ hours). Soups were a lot more water-y than I remember - favorites such as the clam chowder were super watered down. Luckily, the baked potato bar toppings could save it. The hot bar - the pizzas/garlic bread or whatever were disgusting. They tasted like cardboard and reminded me of that sad lunch you'd attempt to eat in elementary school. Pastas also sucked. The blueberry muffin was actually good though! That was the highlight - with real blueberries inside. Overall, I found the food to be generally bland. Unfortunately, it wasn't the glorious blast to the past that I was hoping for.
