Must-Try Dishes Galbi Jjim (Braised Beef Short Ribs) This is the perfect dish to share with a group. The beef is incredibly tender, and the rich, savory sauce coats every bite beautifully. Suyuk (Boiled/Steamed Pork) Much lighter than I expected and not greasy at all. It's a great choice if you're craving meat but want something a little lighter. It's even better when dipped in the house sauce. Pork Cutlet Golden and crispy on the outside, thick and juicy on the inside. It's a great option for kids or anyone who doesn't eat spicy food, and it's one of those dishes that's hard to go wrong with. One detail I absolutely loved: when you order takeout, they include a little instruction card with tips on how to enjoy the leftovers the next day. It's such a thoughtful touch. It feels like they're not just selling you food--they genuinely want you to enjoy it even after you get home. The restaurant is also spacious, so you won't feel cramped. Whether you're meeting friends, having a family dinner, or going on a date, it's a comfortable spot. If you live nearby, this is definitely a place worth saving for those days when you can't decide what to eat.

Had rave reviews of this place from my coworker but unfortunately I have to take stars off for poor service and inflexibility with accommodations. Parking is pretty easy in this plaza, shares with Smart & Final and some other food places. There has been a decent wait both times I've come. That's always a promising sign and the line moves relatively quickly. The food with meat is good quality and large portions. We got the kalbi jjim which is expensive but comes with a large portion and generous meat. My son also likes the katsu combination and usually gets fish and chicken. So why the negative stars? We found Jincook to be very inflexible about accommodating vegetarians. While we ordered all the veg items (mushroom curry, bibimbap, and mushroom japchae) we wanted to have our friends try some other Korean dishes like pajeon (Korean pancake). The servers said they could prepare a vegetarian pancake without seafood or beef but could not price adjust ($28 for each given the protein) or put the meat on the side. Despite the picture on the menu of the bulgogi topping the pancake, the servers said this was an inaccurate picture and the bulgogi had to be cooked inside the pancake only. We asked if it could be price adjusted to the cost of the chicken pancake ($22) and they said no. We also asked if they could do the chicken cold noodles without a chicken broth and they said they couldn't. Banchan is also very stingy portion wise. When we asked for refills they tended to only give 4-6 cucumbers. Overall I was disappointed by the lack of accommodation. Would drive further to Buena Park or garden grove for better food next time and more flexibility. Update to address owner's response: He did not address the price inflexibility (i.e. charging $22 for the pancake instead of $28) or the inaccuracy of the bulgogi pancake on the menu. In line with authenticity, Korean food has a multitude of vegetarian options. Jincook is just not offering many in terms of pajeon (kimchi pancakes) or spicy cold noodles that are vegetarian. He could just admit to that.

Short rib 돌솥 우삼겹 / Jincook Beef Hot Stone

First time here on a Wednesday evening. No wait, but the place was busy. The portion was huge. We have two adults and a toddler; and started with just the pancake and cold noodles. Both were good. However, we felt like we could have some more food, so after some discussion, we decided to try the top seller short rib hot stone. We were super satisfied with the ribs and the vegetables (carrots, pumpkin, onions); very well seasoned. We took most of it to go and it was still good the next day for dinner. We will be back!

Came back to see one of our favorites at Jincook! Kevin! haha my husband and I came for a late night galbijimm and food was still good. Staff was friendly as ever! Last few groups of people since they close at 11 on a Thursday and weekends at 12. Lucky for us there wasn't a wait It's always a good time here and will be back

We came here for Father's Day and had a feast. The ambiance is cute and the service is amazing, everyone here is really nice. We got the beef short rib spicy and normal with cheese on both ~ the spicy wasn't spicy, just a slightly different flavor but delicious, pork belly was delicious but a bit fatty so could only eat so much, soon du bu, cold noodles and seafood pancake. There's no reservations and it was really popular so there's usually a wait.

3rd or 4th time here and need to interrupt my meal to review that this is so delicious!!! Went on a thursday early afternoon and there was no wait time. Staff is friendly and super attentive.

Checked out Jincook in Yorba Linda and can see why their Buena Park location is already well known. The restaurant has a modern late-night Korean pub vibe and they stay open pretty late, making it a great spot for dinner or late night cravings. We started with the makgeolli which was light, refreshing, and paired well with all the food. One of my favorite dishes was the beef hot stone. It came loaded with thin sliced beef, kimchi, vegetables, fried egg, and cheese that they torch tableside before mixing everything together. Super flavorful, comforting, and packed with texture. The chicken bibim noodles were spicy, chewy, and refreshing for a warm day. The seafood pancake had a crispy exterior while still being packed with seafood inside. I also liked the fried kimbap served with tartare sauce -- a fun twist from the traditional version. The brisket tteokbokki was rich, creamy, and spicy with fish cakes, cabbage, ramen, and rice cakes soaking up all the sauce. The galbi jjim was tender with just the right amount of heat and tasted even better with rice. Small detail I appreciated: they give you reheating instructions for leftovers at the end of the meal. Overall, a solid spot for Korean comfort food, drinks, and sharing dishes with friends.

Chicken Noodle Soup (Kal guk soo) Seafood Pancake

I've been here multiple times and had almost everything on the menu. Everything is so good. I had the kal guk soo for the first time and it was so hearty and comforting. I ate most of it and I didn't feel heavy or bloated after. It was a very clean meal. And the seafood pancake was great, as always.

Food is delicious, Beside the KBBQ, i hardly go for something like this because idk how to order. It made this so easy when i had him with me. I learned new things of paring soju with sprite, very interesting and delicious. This place was packed over the weekend, but we got our seats in a few minutes. Great service and food came out quickly. We did have a great time.

An amazing spot for authentic Korean soul food! The food is absolutely delicious, the portions are great, and the service is exceptionally friendly. The perfect comforting meal!

Came here with friends. It's always packed so try to get here by 6PM to beat the dinner crowd. Service is good and friendly. Food was amazing. They have BIG portions. The Galbijim takes a while to cook because it's massive. Don't believe that it only serves 2-3 because we shared it with 7 people and also ordered other entrees.

This place was the bomb! I had a fabulous experience with the waiter having to mix our cheesy meal. Very pleasant spot to be. The place makes a good date night and it has a lay back feel as well. I recommend anything with added cheese. I would suggest having them mix it for you too.

We had a Beef Brisket Pho, Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl, Beef Tendon small plate, and Pork Patty Roll. The broth of the pho was good, sweet with depth. We love the beef tendon! It was so soft and tasted just like jello! The Wagyu beef rice bowl is like the Korean bibimbap, a lot of chopped veggie, a fried egg and beef. I couldn't tell if the beef is Wagyu or not, since the texture didn't stand out. The Pork Patty roll surprised me of how crunchy it was inside. Being that I had never been there before, I wasn't sure what to get so I pretty much just blurted out whatever. What we ordered: 1) Black deluxe chicken paitan with pork - the broth was so tasty, it was absolutely delicious. The pork slices were generous, however, it was DRY. 2) Pork chashu - for my kid. They loved the broth as well and also felt that the pork slices were dry. I wanted to give 4 out of 5 stars, but I am going to hand them a 3. I loved the tasty broth, but the pork was too dry. How could you mess that up as a ramen restaurant? The portions looked a little smaller than what I am used to paying for much less money. That photo of my black deluxe chicken paitan with pork is very deceiving. It looks like a lot, but it definitely wasn't. I barely had any broth in there, and being that the broth was very good, I was disappointed to run out of it before I was even done with the noodles and meat. Would I return? Sure. I liked the food. It's not a place I would go out of my way to eat at, but if I was around the neighborhood and wanted ramen, I would dine there again.

I remembered there was a thai restaurant nearby so I asked my boyfriend if Thai food works. Luckily he said yes and we headed over to Signature Thai. I've been here once before in the past but this is my boyfriend's first time. The ambiance and decor was very pretty and intimate so it made for a great date night experience. The staff was friendly and nice and took out order right away. I got the tom yum soup with tofu while my boyfriend got one of their specials: the khao soi with shot ribs. Both dishes were amazing and it licked the bowls and plates clean. We had a really good time and will definitely stop by again when we're thinking about this food!
