Generous portions, incredible flavor, and total nostalgia! We came here for dinner and left completely full and happy! Jincook serves some of the most satisfying Korean comfort food in the area. Here's what we ordered: Spicy Braised Beef Short Rib: Super tender, rich sauce, and just the right amount of kick. Highly recommend! Brisket Tteokbokki: Chewy rice cakes cooked to perfection with tender brisket slices--such a classic combination. Chicken Pancake & Kimbap Jeon: The pancake had an amazing crispy texture, and the kimbap jeon was a fun, delicious twist on traditional kimbap. Jalapeño Cheese Curry: Rich, savory, and the jalapeños gave it a great extra flavor. To top it all off, they have a huge variety of iconic Korean nostalgic drinks (Milkis, SacSac grape/orange, banana milk)--it felt like a fun trip down memory lane! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is attentive, and the portions are huge for sharing. 10/10 recommendation for group dining!

The food is amazing!!! I've been here at least 5 times this last month. I love the chicken soup very healing. Bbq ribs so good. The bulgogi is delicious. I'm going to keep going here and try everything on the menu lol. The owner is very polite and it's like having your mom cook and take care of you. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves home cooked food and a cool Korean ambiance. The inside is very cool looking like your in a different country I like their menu on the wall.

Really enjoyed our experience at Jin Cook! We ordered the Galbi and Garlic Chicken, and both were delicious and flavorful. The banchan was fresh and refreshing, which was a nice complement to the meal. The service was also great. Kathy, who was taking care of our table, was especially helpful, friendly, and attentive. She made us feel very welcomed throughout the meal. We had a great time and would definitely love to come back again soon!

We dropped by at 5:30 for a party of 9 on Sunday expecting a long wait but it wasn't bad! We were seated promptly without our full party, surprisingly, and ordered while our guests arrived. They also let us store a fruit tart from Porto's since we were celebrating my mom's birthday! As the other Yelp reviews mentioned... The restaurant's AC/temperature is seriously suffering from the heat wave, and the server let us know that they're installing a new unit next week as of 8/29. It was 80° inside even with the current unit and a wall-mounted fan on the other side of the restaurant, and with steaming hot plates this can feel pretty unbearable. Service was so-so, it took a bit to get started since we had to ask for side dishes to be delivered and we only had one set for a table of 9 (we needed to ask for a second one twice). I'm not sure if they're understaffed in the kitchen or seriously backlogged but at least the servers are on top of delivering food. When it came to checking up on us, it picked up toward the end when we were halfway finished with our food. I think it was about 15 minutes after we were originally seated before we got our side dishes and were able to order our appetizers. I think the Buena Park location has better service but the wait was longer the last time I visited there. We got the Sweet & Spicy Gangjung, Kimbap Jeon, Bulgogi Pancake, (not pictured since we dug in before my phone ate) and Marinated Dumplings, all of which were delicious! For entrees we ordered the Rosé Tteokbokki with cheese, Garlic Su Yuk, Chogye Cold Noodles, and Braised Short Rib with cheese. Our favorites were the Braised Short Rib, cold noodles (especially in the heat!!!). Our family agreed that the braised short rib beat out Sun Nong Dan's! The Rosé tteokbokki was my personal favorite, as adding the cream & cheese helps even out the spice level quite a bit. We spent $273 incl 18% gratuity for 3 apps and 5 entrees and left with plenty of leftovers, and it would have been an amazing meal if the AC worked, hence 4 stars!

I've always loved coming to Jincook, and it's consistently been a great experience. However, I have to give it 4 stars tonight because our food took almost half an hour to arrive, and we noticed tables that were seated after us received their food first. :( Our food did come shortly after, but there was no acknowledgment or explanation from our server about the wait. I do wish they served the sides while waiting for the entrees so we at least had something to snack on in the meantime! Our server also seemed a bit less enthusiastic than the others, which isn't typically our Jincook experience since we've always received such exceptional and friendly service here. That said, there was another female server who was absolutely on top of everything. She offered to mix our beef hot stone so we could "taste all the flavors" and even refilled our side dishes without us having to ask. Those little touches really stood out! As for the food, we ordered our usual Boo Dae Jji Gae (Military Soup), which never fails to hit the spot, and tried the Beef Hot Stone for the first time. The Beef Hot Stone a 10/10! It was rich and flavorful, with all the ingredients complementing each other so well. The beef had a slightly crispy texture that added a really nice bite. I initially missed not ordering the katsu, but honestly, this was such a good choice! The portions are very generous and filling. Despite the service hiccup tonight, I'll definitely continue coming back. I've enjoyed everything I've tried here so far, and one slower experience won't keep me away. Hopefully, our next visit will be back to the consistently exceptional service I've come to expect from Jincook!

I'm so happy to have found this place a little closer to where we live! We've been dining at their Buena Park and Yorba Linda locations, so having another option nearby is such a treat. We came for dinner on a Friday in August and were put on a waitlist for about 20 minutes. Surprisingly, they offered complimentary infused water outside while we waited in the summer heat--such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture! Once it was our turn, we were seated right away. All the servers were incredibly nice, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of. I can honestly say the service here is even better than at the other location we've visited in Buena Park. As for the food, the Garlic Suyuk was delicious as always--10/10! The Steamed Dumplings tasted just like a homemade dish, another 10/10. Highly recommend this place! Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to, and we won't regret it!

Jincook was absolutely delicious! Everything was so flavorful - definitely recommend Brisket Tteokbokki + Garlic Suyuk! Popular spot and it's not super big so be prepared for a wait for parties 2+.. Worth it though. Food is made fairly quickly.

I came here because they had five-star reviews, and I've been looking for a good Asian restaurant in Yorba Linda. Overall, the food was good, but I think this is a place that's probably better to eat in than order takeout. The takeout portions seemed smaller than what I saw in the online photos. The Galbi Jim was tasty, but the portion was much smaller than what I'm used to getting at my favorite place in the SGV. For Yorba Linda, I'd say the food is good, but considering the prices and portions, I would give it 4 stars. The brisket was just okay--the meat was a little chewy, so I'm not sure I would order it again. The Kalbi beef, however, was very tasty. It was on the higher end in price, but the flavor was definitely 5 stars. The cheese Katsu with curry was everyone's favorite. The garlic soy chicken was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. It would probably be a good choice for the little ones, though. I called ahead and was told they don't take reservations. They also said it would start getting busy around 4:00 PM and get even busier as the evening went on. Since it was a hot day, we decided to order takeout rather than wait the estimated 30-35 minutes. It may be a better experience dining in, especially since the food is likely best served fresh. We ordered five dishes and spent $192, which in my opinion is quite expensive for the portions. Overall, the food was good, but for the price and portion sizes, I'd give it 4 stars.

    Craft Katsu Combo

Had rave reviews of this place from my coworker but unfortunately I have to take stars off for poor service and inflexibility with accommodations. Parking is pretty easy in this plaza, shares with Smart & Final and some other food places. There has been a decent wait both times I've come. That's always a promising sign and the line moves relatively quickly. The food with meat is good quality and large portions. We got the kalbi jjim which is expensive but comes with a large portion and generous meat. My son also likes the katsu combination and usually gets fish and chicken. So why the negative stars? We found Jincook to be very inflexible about accommodating vegetarians. While we ordered all the veg items (mushroom curry, bibimbap, and mushroom japchae) we wanted to have our friends try some other Korean dishes like pajeon (Korean pancake). The servers said they could prepare a vegetarian pancake without seafood or beef but could not price adjust ($28 for each given the protein) or put the meat on the side. Despite the picture on the menu of the bulgogi topping the pancake, the servers said this was an inaccurate picture and the bulgogi had to be cooked inside the pancake only. We asked if it could be price adjusted to the cost of the chicken pancake ($22) and they said no. We also asked if they could do the chicken cold noodles without a chicken broth and they said they couldn't. Banchan is also very stingy portion wise. When we asked for refills they tended to only give 4-6 cucumbers. Overall I was disappointed by the lack of accommodation. Would drive further to Buena Park or garden grove for better food next time and more flexibility. Update to address owner's response: He did not address the price inflexibility (i.e. charging $22 for the pancake instead of $28) or the inaccuracy of the bulgogi pancake on the menu. In line with authenticity, Korean food has a multitude of vegetarian options. Jincook is just not offering many in terms of pajeon (kimchi pancakes) or spicy cold noodles that are vegetarian. He could just admit to that.

A wonderful hidden gem for authentic Korean food in Yorba Linda! This family-owned restaurant has a warm, traditional Korean atmosphere, and everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. You can really taste the care they put into their food. 1. Chogye Cold Noodle - Refreshing and slightly tangy, with chewy noodles and a light, icy broth. Perfect for a hot day! 2. Beef Short Rib Soup (Galbi Tang) - The short ribs were tender and flavorful, and the broth was rich, warm, and comforting. Great for both adults and kids. 3. Seafood Pancake - Loaded with seafood and green onions. Crispy on the outside and soft inside, with plenty of filling in every bite. 4. Jincook Beef Hot Stone Bowl - A fun sizzling dish served hot at the table. The combination of beef, rice, egg, corn, and cheese was delicious and very satisfying. 5. BBQ Beef Rib - Tender Korean-style grilled beef ribs with a sweet and savory flavor. The meat was juicy and nicely seasoned. 6. Sweet & Spicy Korean Fried Chicken - Crispy chicken coated in a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. The chicken was juicy inside and crunchy outside. The portions are generous, the ingredients taste fresh, and the service is friendly. A great place for family dinners, gatherings, or a casual Korean meal with friends. Definitely coming back!

Came back to see one of our favorites at Jincook! Kevin! haha my husband and I came for a late night galbijimm and food was still good. Staff was friendly as ever! Last few groups of people since they close at 11 on a Thursday and weekends at 12. Lucky for us there wasn't a wait It's always a good time here and will be back

I've been to Jin Cook in Little Tokyo before, so I was surprised and excited to see one open in Yorba Linda. The food was really good, but unfortunately the service brought the entire experience down. After being seated, we waited about 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. No "sorry for the wait" or even "thank you for waiting," which would've gone a long way. After ordering, it was another 30 minutes before our food arrived, and even the banchan came out at the same time as our entrées. Getting water took forever too. Meanwhile, we could see other tables being helped around us, so it was frustrating. Thankfully, the food saved the experience. We ordered the sweet potato cheese curry katsu and spicy pork hot stone, and both were really flavorful. The curry katsu especially was rich, crispy, cheesy, and filling. The banchan was good too. We also tried one of their Korean kids' juices. I can't remember which one but honestly just pick one. You'll probably enjoy it like I did. Food alone, I'd give JinCook a solid 4 stars. It wasn't quite a 5-star "WOW" for me, but definitely somewhere I'd eat again. Unfortunately, waiting that long while watching other tables receive service makes it hard to overlook the experience. 8/10 food, but 3 stars overall.

We came here for Father's Day and had a feast. The ambiance is cute and the service is amazing, everyone here is really nice. We got the beef short rib spicy and normal with cheese on both ~ the spicy wasn't spicy, just a slightly different flavor but delicious, pork belly was delicious but a bit fatty so could only eat so much, soon du bu, cold noodles and seafood pancake. There's no reservations and it was really popular so there's usually a wait.

The menu is also not as extensive as the regular Vietnamese pho places; just a handful of pho and a handful of rice bowl choices along with some interesting appetizers and rolls. Service was really good. I got recommendations from the cashier and she checked on us after food was delivered. We had a Beef Brisket Pho, Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl, Beef Tendon small plate, and Pork Patty Roll. The broth of the pho was good, sweet with depth. We love the beef tendon! It was so soft and tasted just like jello! The Wagyu beef rice bowl is like the Korean bibimbap, a lot of chopped veggie, a fried egg and beef. I couldn't tell if the beef is Wagyu or not, since the texture didn't stand out. The Pork Patty roll surprised me of how crunchy it was inside. The pork Patty is like the Vietnamese sweet sausage, I like it better than the regular Vietnamese spring roll. Overall a nice stop for lunch after the Nixon Presidential Library visit and it's only 0.3 miles away.

The food was generous with high quality ingredients (like the Uni pasta that was surrounded with uni sauce, a fat piece of uni on top and decorated with grated dried uni). The flavors were well thought out - by taste and by visual, it was evident how much care was put into each dish. We scrapped every dish for every last bit of sauce. Service was extremely attentive and well informed about each course. Chef Joo even came to greet us towards the end of the meal. It was insightful to hear about his vision and philosophy for his craft. We will be come back to try everything on the menu!

Food - everything we've had is delicious, but my absolute favorites are the Hamachi Crudo appetizer and the Diver's Scallop Symphony. Husband loves the Lobster Bisque, Pork Belly Ssam, and the Umami Steak. You really can't go wrong, everything else we've tried has got great blends of complementary flavors and were delicious. It's obvious that Chef Andrew puts a lot of care and thought into his art. Service is great - attentive, mindful and personable. We've only been twice so far and they remembered us. Ambiance is amazing also - clean, cozy and feels so inviting and warm. Looking forward to our next meal at The Wild Artichoke.

Three letters, WOW I…read moredrive up and down imperial and I remember when this place opened up last year, now finally getting some time to give it a try and each dish was just perfect. The modern vibe brings out a lot of seating, a bar, and even outdoor tables so the capacity is definitely there. I was instantly greeted and sat down, their hospitality is top tier and they're quick. The order went: cream cheese wontons, pad Thai, panang curry and mango sticky rice. All were very reasonably priced, and the portions were plentiful I didn't have a single grievance, and each dish put its best foot forward. Mango sticky rice put the cherry on top and it was picture perfect. I was constantly met with our server when she refilled our waters, very attentive. This is the type of business Yorba Linda needs, great authentic food, good hospitality and amazing prices.

Get ready for it because we got A LOT of food: chicken sauté, cashew nut with chicken, orange tofu - gluten-free, pad Thai with soft tofu - gluten-free, fried trout with a honey lime sauce - accommodated for gluten-free, green curry with soft tofu, pad see-ew, with fried tofu, pad kee mao with fried tofu and 2 sweet sticky rice with mango. We were 4 adults and two kids, and almost ate everything because it was sooooo good. The ambience is very nice as well and tastefully decorated. From the outside it looks like it will be very small location but it does go back. We had a great table in the back which was very spacious and had plenty of room for all 6 of us, the food and the kids even were able to walk about a bit in the back without interfering. Highly recommend visiting. Learned some great news... a year ago they bought Thai Specialty in Brea, Ca. The name is days away from changing to House of Thai Cuisine but they already changed everything else. The menu is now the same one as this Yorba Linda, Ca location. This is a family owned business. We had a chance to met one of the owners who was incredibly warm and welcoming. You definitely won't regret eating at House of Thai Cuisine!!!

Our server wasn't very personable but also not rude or terrible. I felt a little rushed even with a small menu. Being that I had never been there before, I wasn't sure what to get so I pretty much just blurted out whatever. What we ordered: 1) Black deluxe chicken paitan with pork - the broth was so tasty, it was absolutely delicious. The pork slices were generous, however, it was DRY. 2) Pork chashu - for my kid. They loved the broth as well and also felt that the pork slices were dry. I wanted to give 4 out of 5 stars, but I am going to hand them a 3. I loved the tasty broth, but the pork was too dry. How could you mess that up as a ramen restaurant? The portions looked a little smaller than what I am used to paying for much less money. That photo of my black deluxe chicken paitan with pork is very deceiving. It looks like a lot, but it definitely wasn't. I usually can't finish my bowl of ramen in one sitting and take the other half home. I barely had any broth in there, and being that the broth was very good, I was disappointed to run out of it before I was even done with the noodles and meat. Would I return? Sure. I liked the food. It's not a place I would go out of my way to eat at, but if I was around the neighborhood and wanted ramen, I would dine there again.
