Dr. Jessica Villalobos and her assistant, Yolanda are top notch! I've had a lot of dental work done over the years by many different dentists and I can honestly say that Dr. Villalobos is the BEST! She is meticulous in her work and knows exactly what needs to be done, be it a root canal, oral surgery, replacing a crown or simply a cleaning. She is attentive to your needs and goes above and beyond to ensure you're a satisfied customer. And Yolanda is there to make the entire dental experience (which I'm not particularly fond of) tolerable and even enjoyable! When have you ever had someone put chapstick on your lips throughout a procedure that caused you to have your mouth open for extended periods of time! That's Yolanda for you! Both Dr. V. and Yolanda are caring, concerned, engaging, and delightful. For someone who normally dreads going to the dentist, I actually look forward to seeing Dr. V. and Yolanda! I've had work done here before with different dental coverage & they seemed ok at the time. I made an appointment the end of July of this year & I was told that my insurance would cover the X-rays & cleaning. Just before they started the cleaning, a rude front desk employee came over & told me that the cleaning I needed was not covered by my insurance & that I would have to pay out of pocket. I was so livid & told the hygienist to stop the process & I was leaving. It's been over 2 months when I saw them. I didn't even get a cleaning, however, I received a bill for $25, for X-rays that I was informed by the rude front desk woman that it covered. I called their office just before they close at 3pm today to dispute my bill. They already turn on their answering machine, instead of helping a customer. How typical of them. On my first visit ever, I had a bit of a issue getting my insurance sorted out, and confusion from someone at the front desk not knowing my policy number, but since that I have had excellent service and work done here. It's always difficult switching health providers, and Dr Myorga (sp?) and the technicians helping me (Shawn and also another newer female hygienist) are always polite and professional. They make an effort to get to know you despite seeing so many other patients. I have issues sometimes with pain and they are very responsive and even called me today to see how I was feeling after a particularly difficult spot and extra dose of local. I appreciate the work they are doing in a field so difficult to execute with a happy patient at the end. Tooth health is too important and these folks help make it easier to get done. I have a serious phobia of the dentist. Because of this, I had not seen a dentist in 5-6 years. I knew that it was time and I happened into this office while out for a walk. They made an appointment and I didn't go. I was scared and couldn't get there (that's how bad the phobia is). I made another appointment and had xrays and pictures taken. They were able to schedule 7am deep cleans (I needed two, one on each side) 1 week apart. This is key because the longer I have to think about the appointment, the less likely I am to show up. The dentist wrote a prescription to help with my anxiety. Mercedes is amazing. She has a calm and caring demeanor and was very patient with me. While I'm not looking forward to going back, I do appreciate that this place has quality staff, the hygienists are professional, and the office is very nice. My smile looks great! read more

I never knew I had always had sub-par dentist experiences until I went to Desert Dentistry. Never thought I'd used the word "impressive" to describe a dentist office, but there you go. iPad check-in, a room with a TV I could control, soothing music. There was a welcome gift waiting for me. And the service itself was very high-tech. I just got two filling redone, and it was the best experience (and I've had a few fillings done over the years). They actually gave me something to prop my jaw open, which no dentist had ever done, and put Vaseline on my lips so they wouldn't dry out. Seems simple, but made a huge difference. They talk you through everything and give you a chance to recover a little if you need it. The people are outstanding. My first appointment there, the front desk person gave me a tour of the place and introduced me to everyone. Everyone I met was so nice and friendly. There were no attempts to upsell me on services I didn't need. I can't recommend this place highly enough. read more

I will NEVER come here again, and I will NEVER recommend that anyone come to this office. Why? Their end game for making sure their bottom line is lucrative and profitable is so blatantly obvious that it borders on embarrassing. I went in for some pain I occasionally experience on one tooth, which has always checked out fine in the past, but I like to follow up on it, occasionally, to make sure something more significant hasn't progressed, especially since the tooth has staining on it from an old fillings bonding material. I was told, by Dr. Keller, that "it's not a cavity, but it is." Those are exactly the words that came out of his mouth, verbatim (Um...wait...HUH?!) and his dental plan for me was to put a crown on the tooth in question, as well as two fillings in surrounding teeth. Oh, and it was projected to be an almost $800 bill, after insurance (Ouch)! But, something felt off about his recommendation; gut feeling, intuition, whatever you want to call it, I had it. I listened to it. So, I got a second opinion. I scheduled with a dentist in the area, that I'd never met before, who told me right away, since she knew the nature of my visit was a second opinion "Don't tell me what they told you, I want to do my examination and then tell you what I see or find." WEEEEELL, WELL, WELL.....the tooth in question from my visit with Dr. Keller? NO CAVITY. Yeah. I did just say that. THERE IS NO CAVITY. As a matter of fact, there isn't even a little bit of a cavity. The tooth is literally fine. And as for the other two fillings Dr. Keller told me I needed? ONLY ONE EXISTS. That was one thing that this new dentist could agree with Dr. Keller on. And I had her fill it, and she did an AMAZING job. So, Dr. Keller should be embarrassed. Heck, I would be. How disgraceful to lie to a person about something related to their health and their body, especially when it's completely unnecessary and extremely expensive. Dr. Keller made a professional recommendation to have a crown put on a perfectly healthy tooth, which was not in anyway needed, and then lied, again, to put a filling in a tooth that had no cavity at all. THAT is extremely concerning, in regards to his judgment abilities as well as his personal ethics a dentist. It's also just plain offensive, that he would, essentially, take advantage of how "naive" I am. I work in the healthcare field, and I find it absolutely horrifying that an actively practicing doctor would lie. I would NEVER lie to a patient. And the thing is, my whole family has all had their own bad experiences here. STAY. AWAY. Unless you like getting dental work done....in which case, THEY'LL HAVE A FANTASTIC WORK UP PLAN FOR YOU! Desert Dentistry is far and away the most well organized and comfortable dentists office I have ever been in. My wife referred me after a bad experience with my previous dentist, and I booked an appointment. After arriving, I was given a tour of the office and the sterilization areas (important for me, though they didn't know that at the time). I was seated in a single patient suite, which was a nice change of pace. After speaking with the hygienist, I spoke with the doctor who was very understanding and knowledgeable with an excellent demeanor. In all, it was the most comfortable I have ever felt at a dentist office. I would recommend to anyone who asks. read more

Absolute leeches! I came in here 6 months ago to get my permanent fixed retainer repaired. The dentist advised to have the whole this removed and replaced and I ended up paying $700 for that (they did not perform an exam at that time and I was told to come in another day for xrays and exam). Upon my second visit where They did the exam I was quoted Needing services of $4,366 dollars. They offered me a dental assistance plan where I would pay around $250 a year and could get the services done for $2798. When I got my retainer fixed i was told that the dentist's work is insured up to 2 years as long as I got my cleanings done. 3 months after my visit one of the retainer bondings broke while eating a CHIP! So i called them and they fixed it free of charge as the work was covered upto 2 years and was reminded of getting my cleaning done soon. Fast forward to another 3 months later in December. These people charge around $130 for cleanings which was not affordable to me so I went to Vale Family dental yesterday to get my cleaning and exam done for $35!! (That place is great btw! Will totally recommend them) after my exam Vale family dental quoted me needing services of $2152 which would be reduced to $1722 as a groupon discount. That's a WHOOPING DIFFERENCE OF $2,214!!! After my cleaning yesterday I was again eating chips and 3 of the bondings in my botton jaw BROKE off AGAIN!!! So I go to their office today and they suddenly tell me that it will cost me $250! Why you ask?? Because they only cover their work if your cleanings are done with them. My problem isn't with this policy. My problem is with the fact that I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THIS EXPLICITLY WHEN I ASKED FOR CLARIFICATION ON THE COVERAGE. I was just told that I need cleanings done every 6 months. So not only does these people's dental work NOT LAST AT ALL but they also quote you OUTRAGEOUS prices for services!!! This place might look good from the outside but their business practices and services are not AT ALL! read more

I have been looking for a great dentist for a year when I moved here a year ago. I go every 6 months but had a hard time finding the right one, asking my co workers who they use, how their experience went. I was recommended by my fiancé who knows I am the worlds biggest anxious baby when it comes to a dentist. I called them as I had called so many places and right off the bat sorry I don't remember her name but she was so friendly and answered all my questions! I made the appointment and still in fear from previous many many bad experiences. I was greeted, then gave me a tour of the facility while explaining all they do and can do in house. Talked about the staff and their qualifications and experience. I was so impressed then I was shown to my chair and they had already set up my area for my new patient cleaning and exam. Again they explained every step as I told them before I was nervous and anxious...I felt at ease. The lady that took my X rays sorry I forgot her name too, I am bad with names....she was awesome too, she explained every xray picture and constantly asked if I was okay.....she was so awesome, caring and again explained every detail. Lisa was my hygienist, first of all she introduced herself and asked if I had any pain or issues or requests...I told her YES I do. I explained my issues and she was beyond accommodating! I was at ease didn't hurt a bit. SHe was so gentle I was and am amazed that I finally found a great dentist. She answered all my questions and gave me some tips in my dental care and I appreciate that!! My dentist Villalobos was awesome, explained to me my teeth care and future care. Then after my thorough exam I proceeded to check out and the ladies were so helpful again and explained any costs which there was not!! I have been searching for a new dentist due to relocation. I was hesitant...due to a bad experience with the last "new" dentist. When I made the appointment I was able to get in right away. The receptionist was very upbeat and friendly. The facility is very clean and modern. I went in with a mindset of getting an upsell in treatments after my exam (issue I have experienced in two separate dental offices). My exam was with Dr V. She was very knowledgable, friendly and conservative. I felt the issues (old silver filing, cracks and need for a crown) were all legitimate, No extras or treatments added on. The prices are fair and were fully explained with my insurance and dental benefits. The dental hygienist was so sweet and friendly as well. It was a pleasant experience. I started out loving this dentist office until paying $2,000 to start the Invisalign process. The staff has rescheduled the past 4-5 appointments due to them not booking for enough time or other issues. They sent me home without putting on the attachments correctly. Having half missing. When bring up the cement left in my teeth and in ability to plan the doctor calmed me down and finally got me an appointment. Feeling like everything was handled by the dentist. 2 days later I get a call from office staff that they have decided to stop my case and refer me to an orthodontist which most likely will be more expensive. So dont complain or they will remove you as a patient and stop treatment. Now I have a month worth of Invisalign treatment, attachments on my teeth and no idea what to do because they just stopped treatment. I dont even know how to get the cement removed from my teeth they have put on them for the attachments. They can tell me they want to drop me as a patient and refund me thats about it. read more

Dr Villalobos and This dental office the the rudest of all. They only care about upcharging. They will recommend the most expensive route of dental care. My name is Jon Hill, I received a bridge from Dr Villalobos that was NOT installed correctly that led to a abscess. Instead of admitting fault and being humane, she attempted to charge me for the root canal and an entire NEW BRIDGE. When I would call to discuss options her staff would never allow me to talk with her. She made NO attempts to communicate with me..no email or phone calls. The Staff, in particular Gabby, became rude and short and even started hanging up on me. I do not recommend this office or Dr Villalobos to anyone. The staff, dental assistants and dentists are wonderful, friendly, and professional!! I had to bring my newborn baby with me due to schedules. During my exam she got a little fussy. The front office staff jumped at the chance to watch her without any question, concern, or negativity. They were amazing and took her in the front with them with such ease (of course, they asked me first and, of course, they're not a babysitting staff); they were so kind and supportive that I didn't have any concern. I was/am very grateful to their staff for helping me make it through an appointment without having a new-mom breakdown. In addition to that experience, they were great on their dental work. I was treated with respect and the whole staff were kind and helpful in their treatment with me.
