We loved this place. Service and ambiance were excellent. They overcooked the burger a bit but made it right and it was still delicious.

We really wanted to love this place, and were really looking forward to this meal as our "fancy" dinner in Palm Springs. We came a bit early for our res (20mins), but weren't able to be seated until a few mins past our reservation slot. We walked around the downtown streets to pass the time, and admired the cactuses in the restaurant's front yard. Once seated, I was glad we had opted for the indoor booths, because the community table was something that me (and my introverted family) would not enjoy. The interior is modern simplistic, and the space felt very nicely curated. We came to celebrate my parents' anniversary, and the server immediately offered us all complimentary rose champagne. This was honestly probably the highlight of our meal. We had read some reviews before across different social medias, and ordered the fried oyster mushrooms, kimchi fried rice, and duck salad for appetizers. Overall, the dishes were extremely salty. The duck salad is probably the best out of the 3, and the fried oyster mushrooms were just eating salty fried batter, we couldn't even taste the mushrooms inside. Kimchi fried rice was also pretty disappointing, too much rice and too little other toppings, and again way too salty. For entrees we ordered the scallops and burger, both again extremely salty, the scallops slightly more edible. While the portion size for the other dishes were relatively reasonable, we were surprised that the scallop dish was $52+tax for 3 pieces of scallop. We did know this was on the michelin guide, but 3 still felt like highway robbery. 3 small salty pieces at that, with some white turnips/vegetables to fill up the rest of the plate. Note to self to always ask when ordering how many pieces each dish contains. We ordered the first 3 drinks on the menu, after hearing some online raves for this spot's drinks. It was honestly just ok, nothing super remarkable. Service overall was extremely nice, we felt very taken care of (if a little bit too much). Note that 4% service charge for kitchen staff is auto applied to the bill.

Attended found oyster pop-up lunch yesterday. It was really really really really really really good. Everything was top-notch service drinks, and just out of this world food. Thanks for having such a cool event.ps: perplexed by Fernando giving me an oh no on my review just so I will elaborate. I've had many a meal at workshop. They are one of the most elevated restaurants in the desert and put out beautiful food and drinks. I highly recommend if you're in Palm Springs.

Workshop is a five star restaurant! I ordered the steak frites and it was perfectly cooked to my liking. The fries are also an amazing touch to a classic play on meat and potatoes. Jake, our waiter, also made great recommendations throughout the dinner. He was both helpful and entertaining at the same time!

Had an amazing experience at Workshop Kitchen & Bar! From the moment we walked in, everything was on point. The food was seriously incredible,we ordered the pork chops, pizza, Fries and Fried rice, and every single dish was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. You can tell a lot of care goes into the quality and presentation. What really made the night stand out even more was the service. Our server Jeff was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. Huge shoutout as well to Dizzy and Jasmine at the front, cute hello kitty tattoo by the way, they were super welcoming and set the tone right from the start. The vibe, the food, and the service all came together for a top-tier dining experience. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to and recommending to others!

This place is delicious! The service is outstanding and the menu is inventive and new. We tried the gnocchi, fried rice, and the pizza and all three were amazing! The wine list is also super interesting and fun! The desserts were a bit of a miss, so I would honestly skip dessert and try another spot in Palm Springs for a scoop. Outdoor seating was fab!

Entering into a Courtyard this feels like a hidden gem. The property is beautiful with the patio having a fountain and Spanish Architecture that sets you into a desert oasis. The interior is very modern and the concrete is a cool setting that makes you feel tucked away from the desert heat. We were greeted by the hosts and the waiter was very helpful and attentive to any of our needs. We started off with drinks and I had the Urbane it came with their own branded ice very similar to an old fashioned/manhattan. All of the food used great ingredients and similar to the architecture, created a special experience. We ordered the Ricotta Gnocchi, Kimchi Fried Rice and Steak Frites. My favorite of these was the Ricotta gnocchi which was cooked to the right texture and the butternut squash puree was perfectly smooth to pair with it. The kimchi fried rice was yummy but I did find the peanuts a little interesting for this dish and the pork belly was very crispy like well done bacon. The ingredients again were super fresh and still made for an impressive given the breadth of the menu. The steak frites were very good, we ordered it medium and they managed to get a really good crust on it. The cherry butter on top was rich and played well on the seasoned crust. The duck fat frites were seasoned well and paired with a miso aioli. Workshop gets a 5/5 for its setting, presentation, food quality and excellent staff! It's an experience that we are glad we signed up for.

Great service. Really good food. Loved the carrots. It was a last minute decision to go and we are glad we came.

I've been to Workshop a few times and honestly, it's always been a bit hit or miss. But this last visit? Completely different story. Huge shoutout to the bartenders. If you're into off-menu cocktails, this is absolutely the place. We ordered four "bartender's choice" drinks and every single one was perfect. He steered us toward some great food picks too. This was easily the best experience I've had here. Really hoping this is the new standard!

Excellent NYE dining experience. Despite the unexpected rain, we were glad to have reserved an indoor spot which offered great privacy within the restaurant's striking brutalist-modern design. The $150 preset NYE menu included four courses; the only course without choices was the gnocchi, and everything was very well executed and delicious. The cocktails were great as well. The GM checked in on us multiple times, and we felt genuinely well taken care of with both food and drinks. Free street parking was relatively easy to find, and the entrance is pleasantly inconspicuous. Would definitely return.

Inventive menu, beautiful presentation, yet flavor is still down to earth and approachable. I love the setting and ambiance here. We loved the gnocchi, mushroom risotto with truffle, and the black cod. Service was great and everything came out fast. Highly recommend.

I loved my experience at the Workshop! The food was literally spectacular and I can't believe I've been missing out on such a gem of a restaurant for all the time I spend in the Desert. Although the portions are small and it's wildly expensive I will for sure be adding it to the regular rotation of dining spaces to enjoy while in town. I would certainly recommend it to any of my friends as well. Many people will probably find paying $52 dollars for a plate of 3 scallops with 5 mussels exorbitant and $58 dollars for 5 shrimp on a bed of Risotto insane. This, unfortunately, is just what things cost if you're going to get the perfection that the Workshop provides. I can't imagine being in the restaurant business in today's world. It's refreshing to find a restaurant who has not compromised quality in a world where so many other are cutting corners in order to keep costs down. David, our server, was perfectly balanced between giving us a casual vibe but completely on point with all aspects of providing us with everything we needed- his timing was impeccable. The austere and brutalist atmosphere was a unique element to our meal when juxtaposed against the food. Imagine the decor as being the the blank canvas and the food as the art that brings it to life. I did find myself becoming a bit uncomfortable toward the end of the meal after sitting in the relentless cement booth, but, I suppose that ensures parties won't continue to linger too long and, again, forces the patron to focus on the food. Hamachi crudo was perfection along with the Duck confit salad (amazing). Scallop entree and corn risotto with shrimp were also both phenomenal. If you're into food - the workshop shouldn't be missed. I was also very pleased with their NA mocktail selection. Give it a shot!!!

My wife and I came here for a dinner date on our vacation. We originally had an earlier reservation, and we couldn't change it online. We called onced they opened and got to push back to 8:!5 as the other option was to be seated outdoors. We walked to the front of the restaurant, then had to go through the outdoor dining area to enter through the hostess stand. After we checked in, we got seated. We were sitting in a booth about 10 feet from the door, and it stayed open the entire night so we could feel the breeze. I ended up keeping my jacket on. We opted to make our night a little special and got sparkling water. We ordered the Shaved Brussel Sprouts and Stracciatella to share. They were both delicious. I really enjoyed the crispy red quinoa, as it added a nice crunch to the dish. We ended up ordering the Wood-fired sourdough pizza as our entree to share. It was very delicious, and we ended up bringing leftovers to take home. We ordered a Pamplemousse dessert to enjoy in the restaurant and a pistachio dessert to go. We really enjoyed the Pamplemousse. We really enjoyed the food, but wished the door had been closed. However, I understand the waiters and waitresses used it frequently to walk in and out, and that might have been less enjoyable than feeling the breeze every 30 seconds. It just felt like the entrance to the restaurant, and the bathroom was an afterthought.

If you can't get a reservation, bar seats are first come, first served, and I can see why people line up for them. This was probably the most expensive meal of our trip, and at times you definitely feel it. A Belvedere martini with no vermouth for $27 made me laugh a little. This isn't Vegas. That said, much of the food was excellent. The Duck Liver Pâté was incredible, and the Red Thai Curry Mussels were unique without overwhelming heat. The Cacio e Pepe was one of the standout dishes of the week. Those thick noodles were fantastic. We also ordered the Steak Frites and upgraded to filet. Unfortunately, it came out overcooked, and I asked for it to be removed from the check. On the other hand, the Smoked Bone-In Duroc Pork Chop was perfectly prepared and incredibly moist. Dessert finished strong. The Aniston's Pavlova was excellent, especially the Chantilly cream. The warm chocolate chip cookies were delicious too, although $15 for cookies is definitely a Palm Springs moment. Pricey? Very. Worth experiencing? Absolutely.

Neil was welcoming, accommodating, and personally secured a table for our party of six when we returned after 9pm. His hospitality and the venue concept itself are excellent. Unfortunately, the service we received afterward from another staff member, Billy, did not match that standard. The venue is extremely dark, so we used the small table lamp to read the menu. Billy instructed us not to use it because it "wasn't the vibe of the establishment," and told us to use our phone lights instead. The tone was abrupt and dismissive. Around 9:50pm he announced last call. When one guest ordered, his response was, "I guess if you must." Others asked for a moment to decide and were repeatedly rushed. We explained we weren't aware they closed as 10, as Neil had told us it would be open seating after 10. He replied, "Yeah, well I'm closing tonight and I'm closing at 10." When drinks were delivered, they were set down forcefully. As we were leaving, a member of our group overheard Billy speaking negatively about us to another employee, including mocking someone in our group for needing glasses to read the menu and implying she was intoxicated (she wasn't). When this was addressed directly, he did not apologize and instead insisted we had overstayed, which is inaccurate. We ordered promptly after being told last call and left after finishing our drinks. We are locals who intentionally brought out-of-town guests here because we wanted them to have a great experience. It's disappointing that one staff member's conduct overshadowed what should have been a highlight of their visit. I won't assign motives, but I will note that Billy's demeanor noticeably shifted after the final member of our group, who happens to be Black, arrived. I cannot determine why, only that the change in tone was clear. Neil has created something special here. However, a venue's reputation ultimately depends on how guests are treated when ownership is not present. Based on this visit, there is a significant gap between the hospitality the owner provides and the service delivered in his absence. I hope Neil takes a close look at what happens when he's not present, because with the right staff, this could easily be a place we'd want to return to.

It did start to pick up while we were there. Drink wise, one of their Bloody Mary which comes with a slice of bacon and their lemon drop. Both very tasty. Food, an order of the ahi tuna salad. Seared tuna on top of mixed greens with crunchy onion, tomatoes, avocados and a really delicious ginger dressing. Quite tasty. The beet salad with added chicken. Beets tossed in a mixed greens with feta and roasted chicken. That too was quite nice. Lastly the veggies burger. Simple burger Pattie with all the trimming and served with seasoned fries. Of course the truffle fries were needed which was part of the happy hour. I can truly say that this place has amazing seasoned fries that's always a must for us. I didn't expect to see a different menu as were used to brunch but it was nice. Service was good for us as it wasn't too busy when we arrived with only one waitress working. It's a place that brunch is amazing hence we're alway back for that. I can say I've tried their other menu now.

I forgot his name but the bartender was very nice and you could tell he likes his job. We got there and ordered a drink, and we're lucky enough to get a free order of some delicious bread sticks. The drink was very tasty for a decent price, so I would come back for more drinks.

It caught our attention as we had stayed in two different Kimpton Hotels in Seattle prior. We wanted to grab a drink at the Window Bar (not knowing that was its actual name, but the conversation we had with the bartender about that window shining too much light at certain parts of the morning definitely gave me a chuckle in hindsight). We happened to be a bit early since he had not been able to finish setting up shop yet. We went ahead and waited until he was ready without rushing him because we ourselves weren't in any rush at all. Surrounded by a ton of nice interesting artwork, it was a pure joy to enjoy a drink or two in this environment. The bar can be found at the corner on the other side of the hotel concierge in plain sight from such a big space for a lobby, directly left upon entrance through the front. Since it was slow in the morning, we were able to chat it up with the bartender and even explore a bit of experimentation in the form of a particular top secret cocktail that every mixologist knows. I definitely exercised my etiquette and reading the conditions to even suggest it. He couldn't be any nicer about our time with him. So yeah, Christopher H. from 9/9/18, I don't know what you're talking about. I make it a point to visit the bar at any Kimpton location nowadays. I always seem to have a good time. But then again, I can only speak for myself. Parking: Street, unless you're a guest at the hotel. FYI: - Despite the hours on Yelp saying this place is open from 4-10pm, they might open earlier, as we joined in at around 11am or noon. But don't hold me to it. If there's somebody at the bar, you'll need to simply ask if it is open yet.
