We had called to have a new garage door opener replaced as our old one was not lifting the door any longer, well extremely slow. Martin came out and saw we had a broken spring with loose cable wires - he said that was our issue. He replaced the spring and tightened the cables - for half the cost of a new opener since ours was still strong and good. Took 30 minuets and we are back in business. Very happy with his honesty, correct diagnosis and price- unlike many you meet out there. We set an appointment 2 days ahead. The tech arrived during the appointment window. He was polite, friendly, professional. He diagnosed the problem with my very old opener, and showed me the failure. He gave me the option of repair or replace. I elected to replace it. He put in another within 30 minutes and it is quiet and effective. He also noticed a mounting problem which he corrected. I called DOD on a friday stating that my garage door was getting stuck halfway down, but that I was able to close it all the way. There is no emergency but sooner than later would be best. He offered Monday between 11-12 which was not good for me, so he said I could change MY schedule and send someone else betwen 8-9.Great, works perfect for us. I have a 10 year old Chamberlin/Liftmaster double garage door that had gradually lost the range so that this past week I had to drive right up to it to get it to open. I called DOD to ask about it and they said I should first try to add an extension to the antenna using low-voltage wiring. They had tried it at two other customers and it did not work for them, but he said I should try because it might work. Sure enough, it worked great. I now can open the door from at least 75' away. I just had to send him a payment for his time as this saved me replacing the whole door. GREAT SERVICE!!! read more

We have had this company come out and "repair" our garage door numerous times. Unfortunately, we are renters therefore we must use who our landlord chooses. They have completely replaced the unit and still have had to come out 3-4 times since then. The tech never alerts us that he is there which results in our garage clickers never being re-programmed. I think they lack on their communication with their customers. Again, we have reached out to them for , yet, another repair. Hopefully we hear from them soon and these issues discontinue. read more

My garage door was having trouble opening and then I noticed that the support for the traveler was coming loose from the wall, and that the traveler was hitting the main spring - not good! This garage door was only 1 year old, so the original installer (hired by the home builder) had apparently done a terrible job. I called Desert Overhead Door at 5pm on a holiday, Presidents' Day, and not only were they still working, they were able to come out the very next morning! MARTIN came out, reattached the traveler support to the wall, readjusted everything so it worked properly and reset both of my remotes. This was all done for a very reasonable service charge. In less than 10 minutes he attached the one cable that had slipped, handed me his un-itemized bill for $75 and was paid and gone. Had hardly said a word. He had written his name, ph#, and business info on my neighbor's garage door manual a couple months earlier when he used him. After Brodie left, I discovered none of the openers worked, which hadn't been an issue before. I can hardly believe that he won't return for another service.
