Food flavor was good. Chicken Tikka Masala had only 4 pieces of chicken in a very large plate of food. Asked for mild, couldn't eat it was so hot. My gums, my lips were burning. Came across this Indian restaurant as we were looking for a place for dinner. As we entered the place, it was full. When a restaurant is full that means it's a good one. I felt better. The service was really friendly, and accommodating. The ambiance was average, but with good service I could easily ignore the average ambiance. The food quality is alright, they have a huge menu, something for everyone. You would try the food and their varieties although it's not like you would have it again. Really unclean. While waiting we counted 9 flies buzzing around. Tables and floors were not cleaned. Garbage disposal hole was too small for the plates, so someone ended up dumping half of their curry on the outside of the counter by the water cups. No one bothered to clean it up. The food was ok. A bit pricey for what was offered. Should have gone to a buffet in Irving. Food didn't sit well. Had to spend many hours in the bathroom afterwards. Will not be visiting again read more

I don't eat Indian mucho cause typically I get tired of the spicyness, but the waitresses were super nice and patient with my non- cultured cuisine experience when ordering. Love this place. Chaats, mysore dosa, idli, gobhi manchurian, chilli paneer, dragon cauliflower.. all are yumm! Tried their curries also. Everything is on the spicier side even if you order mild. But service is very good and the staff are extremely courteous and friendly! They always greet you with a smile. Recommend. read more

Okay only if you don't mind a long wait, extremely spicy food, and a filthy dining room. We ordered Chana masala and chicken tikka masala, both of which should have come out pretty quickly (we were told the tandoori chicken would have taken a half hour). Instead it was nearly a half hour for our dishes. And while we waited, we tried hard not to touch anything, since the dining room was filthy. There's a sign on the table that asks you to clean up after yourself. We certainly don't mind taking our trash to the can, but it seems they want you to scrub the tables (with what? the thin, tiny, dry napkins?), mop the floors, and take out the trash, too. The taste of the food was good, but it was extremely spicy, even though, being in a place for the first time, we ordered both dishes mild. Even the rice was hot with spice. I want to emphasize that there were only two other parties in the place, and there were at least six employees working, none of whom could be bothered to come out from behind the counter to clean up. I have been to other Desi Chowrastas in DFW area but this is the first time I have been to this restaurant and I am sure I will not visiti this again. Food quality, the gravy used in it and the way of preparation are pathetic. The Aloo Tikky chat and Samosa chat were bitter in taste, we tried to improve the taste by adding some salt, and then some curd and then some sweet chutney but it didn't improve the taste at all. I was not able to eat even half of it. My daughter had an upset stomach and stomach pain that after noon and late evening. Service was also bad. Looks like the guys there are getting trained. Shezwan noodles was also tasting bad and the food is expensive for the way the quality they provide and the way it is prepared and and The funniest part is, there is water available to drink as the tap was not working and when mentioned that at the counter, they said no water available and if I need water, I have to buy the bottle. Any other restaurant that I went to, offer bottled water free if they were not able to supply water. read more

This place used to be so good, but now it has gone down so much. The place is filthy. The tables are always dirty and the floor under the tables are disgusting. I understand you want us to clean after ourselves (as noted on the tables), but then provide us with sprays and resources to be able to do that. We ordered Chowrastha Fried Chicken, anticipating hot, crispy, full-flavored chicken nuggets that we had always enjoyed previously. What came was an obviously premade item that was reheated in the oven. Our rava masala dosas seemed reheated as well; they just were not crispy and warm as they should have been. We ordered around 2:30 pm. If the restaurant is trying to use up items remaining after the lunch crowd, please discontinue the practice. It's only damaging your reputation. read more

I can the day after they opened so it was a bit chaotic and was a bit more understanding when I learned this but since this only the location, not sure why my experience was horrible. I asked the girl for recommendations and she didn't help me at all so I ordered common items. The website prices and prices at the restaurant didn't match and they said they fixed it but it still wasn't right. They tried to make things better and gave me desert but I waited over 45 minutes for my food. I realized all the people that came after me received there food but I just sat there. I asked for a refund 3 times and they refused to acknowledge me just shoved my bag of food at me and didn't even apologize. Also mind you, we ordered some samosas and 2 entrees so I don't think it took a long time because it was a large order. Nevertheless, this restaurant didn't do anything to make up for their mistake. I talked to the owner and told him I lived near by and he clearly didn't care to even make me think about return. The first few times we ordered from here was excellent and then every other time thereafter, the food has never been consistent in taste as well as the consistency of their gravy in the butter chicken or any other chicken dish... the tandoori naan or even their plain naan, is never soft and always very crispy and doesn't break like a bread.
