Hard core drinking bar. Cash money only. Scruffy crowd. Not too clean and definitely out of touch with modern music/culture etc. And I love it! Cheap drinks, really bright and interesting bohemian types here hanging out. Look they have people playing Van Morrison and Miles Davis on the jukebox. I played Coltrane and was well appreciated. Not what you think it will be. If you are a devotee of interesting dive bars (as I am) or just a people watcher this is not an average Saratoga tourist place. If you like good people and seeing where the nitty meets the gritty you'll be right at home. I'll be back soon.

Been in and out of here since I was 18. Saratoga landmark. Now I pop in here on weekday happy hours with the locals. Stay away on weekend nights for the obvious reason that ruins most gin mills - drunk college kids Juke box is well stocked and drinks priced right. Bartenders are generally helpful and cut you a break on the price once you bought a few and tip a few times. You may also meet the local lab that hangs out there. A plus up is the cologne dispenser (ScentoMatic) in the men's room. Pop in a quarter and scent yourself up for your signif other. Just find a booth with your babe, play a few songs on the Juke and its a nice hangout time.

No food, just the coolest hole in the wall joint to drink and maybe shoot some pool.

Fun dive bar. Cheap beer and pool table. No glitz, dirty low down joint. Perfect for a hideaway.

This is not the case here - all of the food we had was made in house, and you could taste the difference. The beer battered fries had a thin flaky coating that made them irresistible. The buffalo calamari was cooked perfectly, piled up, and topped with blue cheese crumbles and green onion. Don't even get us started on the boneless wings... also, the ranch and blue cheese dip were out of this world. Guess what? HOME MADE. We came here to watch a Sabres game, since we heard there were a ton of TVs to watch the games. And we ended up being surprised with a fantastic dinner and great service. What a great night.

Honestly, they had a ton of potential, but they didn't deliver. The calamari was soggy instead of crispy. The balance of other items was pretty off. It looked pretty, but didn't taste good. The calamari was bitter in addition to being soggy. The balsamic glaze added a sweetness, but it wasn't offset by enough salty/spicy. It was served with a tomato sauce that didn't go well with the toppings. It was an odd dish. If it wasn't so late, I might have actually sent it back (which I do probably once every 10 years). Fresher, crispy and less bitter calamari might have been enough to fix the balance. My dinner companion had a sandwich with a bun, lettuce, apple slice, fried chicken, cheese, and bacon. I think it might have been a special. It was ok. It came with Saratoga chips, which is why we picked the restaurant. We wanted to get Saratoga chips in Saratoga. Unfortunately, they were hard and cold and bland. Lots of TVs. Service was meh. I felt like they were put out for serving us. There's a good bar vibe. If I were to eat there again, I would go for beer and wings.

Floor by floor: Ground level is very sports bar vibe, plus some decent live music. But we were looking to dance so up one floor we go and it's still very chill. Easy to get drinks at this bar and plenty of room to hang out at a table for a bit. Next floor up had pong tables set up (skip to 12 AM and this was the club/dance floor) and then you have the rooftop! This had a $5 cover but was well worth it to have some fresh air along with good vibes. The bars were never crowded and we never had any trouble getting a drink. Sure, the floors were sticky, bathrooms were gross and drinks were absolutely watered down, but we jumped around to a few different spots that night and this place was 100% the best. If you find yourself here, don't think the grass is greener elsewhere. Sit tight, dance, move to the different floors and enjoy. If you leave, even with a stamp, you'll inevitably find yourself back in the lonnggggg line wishing you stayed put.

I was in the boom boom room for a bit, it was so dark I could barely see anything which can be dangerous, and clearly it was because in the few minutes I was there someone slipped a roofie into my drink and I was very unwell. I know I was roofied because I quickly started feeling weird so I made myself throw up and there was a half dissolved blue pill in my vomit. Thank god my fiancé was with me, if not I could've easily been snatched up by someone. Never going here again

Upon walking in the host and servers were super nice and we were seated promptly. The space itself is super nice! Not crowded at all but definitely means you should make a reservation as they are super popular! Food was amazing! DO NOT MISS THE ROLLS! I'd come back just for the rolls, they were so soft, fluffy, and light with the perfect flaky salt on top to balance with the whipped honey butter. Delicious! Everything else was also great, the hanger steak is also tender and loved the hash that came with it and the crab spaghetti had ample crab meat in it. Presentation was gorgeous. Love the seasonal menus and you really can't go wrong with anything here. We skipped out on dessert but I'm sure there's great options too. Highly recommend and hope to be back!
