I took my car in for a body detail that is roughly $150. Upon picking up the car, I said "wow it is like new" and ready to give this place at least four stars. This lasted for two days until it rained ... Unlike other details places I went in the past, this place does not mask the body trim during waxing and buffing. As a result there is a lot of wax residue in the body trim, molding, etc. You don't see it when it is done but it shows up after raining. read more

I found a few quotes in the Bay Area to have my roof redone and Jeff was extremely easy to reach during the whole process. I hadn't gotten a car wash since I bought my car almost half a year ago, so I brought it here for the basic interior/exterior car wash. I made the appointment ahead of time since it does get quite busy on weekends, and Jeff definitely accommodates to people's schedules. There's a Starbucks about a block away so I just walked there and sipped on an iced latte while waiting, very convenient. Jeff did a thorough and wonderful job cleaning both the inside and outside of my car. It was spotless when I got it back (the whole job took about 50 minutes). They cleaned the wheels, inside of my windshield, and the other spots that get extra dirty. There were also no scratches or any kind of damage done to my car, which I was relieved to find after reading some bad reviews for other car wash places. Our 2007 Honda accord had been stolen and then recovered 2 weeks later. The car was drivable- no damage, just hella items stolen, including the $400 stereo. We had to pick it up in the city and make the 40 minute drive back home. The whole time we both just sat there, feeling disgusted and gross knowing that someone else had been in the car, doing who knows what and taking it for a joyride. Thus, we decided to get the interior detailed to try erase that "stolen car" feeling. I found this place via Yelp by searching for places close to home and open on a Sunday and was willing to pay whatever it took to clean the inside. I don't think it had ever been detailed and it was an old car so the rugs were stained and there was dog hair everywhere. We dropped it off in the morning, picked it up later that afternoon. And man, they sure did an awesome job... the car felt like new! And that icky feeling? That all went away... it didn't even feel like the car had been stolen. When I brought my car in, Jeff looked it over and let me know that he would try, but because of the condition of the interior, he would need to charge me an extra $100 and then keep the car overnight as he wanted to do an extra shampooing/washing of the carpet. Ok, I thought, he's a professional and with so many positive reviews, it sounds like he'll make sure everything is taken care of. So I agreed to $375 for package 2 and scheduled an appointment for the next day as I hadn't expected to leave the car overnight. Due to scheduling, my wife actually took the car in and though Jeff had promised that someone would be able to drop her off at work; unfortunately, it turned out that no one was available and so she had to cover the extra cost of taking a taxi. And apparently, he now told her that he should be able to have it done in the same day! Well, what happened to overnight cleaning for the extra $100? Why am I paying extra if not receiving the service I was quoted? Sure, the car was cleaned.. but it was a sloppy job and the cleaning brought up some musty odors that have not gone away. Just little bits here and there where someone went once-over with a rag but there were still some crusty stains that I've had to go back and take care of myself. In one of the door-wells, I also found an old band-aid that was still stuck to the side in one of the door wells. For $375, I really expected more "detailed" service as if I were seeking to resell my car. Instead, I got a passing but sloppy job that I've had to finish and touch up myself. I'm not sure what the difference would have been if it was the original $275 package or even if I had gone elsewhere for $100-$200. 2 stars because it was an average job and though they did clean it, it was a really sloppy job. I brought touch up paint, which they kindly applied to my many parking umm.. "situations". Although, I have never opened the hood to check the engine, they cleaned that too and it was very shiny. : ) I got the Winter Special, with $50 off and had my car back by 5:30 the same day. Its an ok kind of a service for the amount they charge. I had a lot of expectations from the detailing work based on the reviews. My car is an 07 Honda Civic, gold color with beige (light color) interior. They did not do a good job of detailing the interiors. I spotted many unclean areas and other stints left by the cleaning job itself. They tried to cleanup the stints, but i was not expecting me to point out all the unclean areas. Had my first experience here. I took my boyfriend's old 2000 Toyota Camry to Detail Plus after looking at the reviews. I wanted a simple wash and vacuum since it was an old car and I didn't need detailing. I drove up and was instantly confused. There are stalls for you to handwash on your own and I wasn't sure if I was supposed to handwash my own car. That wasn't what I was looking for. I asked a man who was washing his car if they do handwash themselves and he pointed me to the office. I wish there was signage or something to let me know. I didn't see anything in the reviews about it either. I went to the office and rang a bell and someone came over to help me out. It was about 1pm on a Friday and it looked like they had a bunch of cars already being worked on. I asked how long it was going to take and they said 45 minutes. I thought that was a bit long for a carwash, but I was already there and the cars coming out looked really good. They took down my info and I decided to go out to lunch instead of just waiting at the office. They said they would give me a call when it was ready. I went out to lunch and about 45-50 mins later, they gave me a call telling me that my car was ready. So the time estimate was pretty good. I walked back and saw my car on the way into the office. I was shocked. It was so shiny and clean. I look a peek in the inside and it was like a brand new car. I could see all the stains in the carpet so I knew it was the same car, but all the dust and crumbs that used to be there were gone! The tires and rims (whatever was remaining) were scrubbed and clean. I have a dog and we take him to the beach a lot so I was happy to see that the back seat looked great! They didn't get all the dog hairs, there were some stuck to the middle pull down arm rest and behind the speakers, but I didn't expect them to be seen as they were short and pretty much invisible against the color of the car. But the seats themselves looked like they were hair free. I went in and paid $30 dollars for the handwash and vacuum and tipped the guy $5. I don't wash my car often so I didn't know if you had to tip and the person didn't seem to be expecting it, but I felt like it was a job well done. I received a pleasant call from the manager here and we had a good discussion about the issues I brought up in my review. As I've mentioned in other reviews, I really respect a business that actually takes the time to speak to a customer and takes steps to address reasonable concerns, so I'm bumping my review up a star. The manager did mention that Saturdays, as might be expected, get overbooked, and I'm not sure that would change in the future based on his explanation, which was that they had to overbook because too many people cancel appointments without notice or were no-shows. Anyway, if you can bring your car in another day, I'd strongly recommend it. Otherwise, you'll have to be prepared to be without your car the whole day. read more

I planned to surprise my wife by getting her Audi cleaned, cleaned I said. No bay washing by this amateur. The car looked great when I picked it up but I realized that her Lightning adapter on the charger was missing. Pointed that out and Jeff said he'd take care of it - didn't want to leave us in that state. That he'd replace it. He bought a new one and brought it to me the same day. I next realized that one of the small plastic push button covers on the center console - the nav/climate control/radio/everything console - was missing, a piece the size of a nickel. The console is a single integrated box the size of a small microwave. As a new one installed by the dealer would have been well over $1000, we agreed on the course of finding a replacement part - yup, the entire console - and putting that in. Jeff found one for about the price of the original detail, bought it and worked to have it installed but it required programming, by the dealer. Another few hundred dollars later, also at Jeff's expense, and the car was all righted. After all that Jeff offered to wash the car again! We demurred as it's still really clean. An ordeal? Sure. This place does amazing work! I had the complete interior cleaned on my 97 accord that I just purchased. The interior was trashed, like it had never seen a detail job in a day of its life. It took one guy, (Gabe) 4 hours to clean the entire interior of my car. Carpets shampooed, even the seat belts were shampooed. He even cleaned the spare wheel well. Make sure you tip these guys well, since they're sweating there balls off wiping away grime and stains of unknown etiology on your rides. I am completely and utterly satisfied with their work. My interior is mint looking like the day it rolled off the assembly line. Highly recommended. Slow turn around, because of the attention to detail. So it might take alllll day. My only gripe is that it took 2 days for the carpet to dry. read more

I just came here again and took advantage of the $165 Deal Plus 3 Winter special. Full exterior, interior, and even under-the-hood engine bay detail service. I have a black 350z with custom 20" chrome and black rims which is kinda like having an extremely high maintenance girlfriend. Keeping her all done up and happy take a lot of $$$ or tons of elbow grease. This deal was hard to pass up so I didn't. No cheap wax here. They only high quality paint sealant here. My car came out looking stunning! I brought it in ignored and mistreated due to all the intermittent rain over the past couple months and she came back looking better than brand spankin' new. The did a great job on the interior too without leaving a greasy finish. Even the engine bay looked pristine. I kinda feels like I got 20 extra ponies after the detail too. :-p Now that the rain is gone for now - take advantage of this great deal and phenomenal service! Been taking my Infiniti here for a couple years now to get my car detailed since it is somewhat near my house and I can just catch an Uber or Sidecar after I drop it off. These guys are thorough and quick, which is what I'm all about. Their retail pricing for a full exterior detail is a little much, BUT if you bring it back every year, you get 36% off each time! So instead of $150, it is only $95. Not bad! Now here are my Pros and Cons for this place to explain my 4 star rating: Pros: - They are very accommodating and flexible with scheduling. I had to reschedule twice due to some conflicts, and they were able to change my appointment both times with no problems! - Quick and thorough. They take about 4 or 5 hours, but that is expected for any detail place. They thoroughly clay bar your car and remove any sticky tar or stubborn bugs etc. on your paints surface and then wash, wax, polish and seal it. - If you bring it back annually around the same time you got it done the year before, you will receive 36.6% off the regular price. This deal is almost as cheap as the Groupon for AJ's($80), except obviously here you don't have to wait for any Groupon. Cons: - I don't feel that they use the best wax/polish. I've gotten details from other places before(AJ's) and after I get my car back, water will bead right off of my car's surface for weeks. Detail Plus' wax/polish does not do that. How do I know this? It rained the following day after I got my car detailed and noticed all the dried water spots all over my car after the rain stopped. Normally, after details my car's finish is so slippery with wax/polish that water does not dry on my car even from moisture at night, etc. The good thing is that like any other reputable detail place, if it rains in the few days following your appointment, you can bring in your car and they will rewash your car again for free. If I need a quick exterior detail I will bring my car back here, if I don't see better deals elsewhere. Recommended! read more

I changed my initial 2stars to 5stars. New Review: Jeff called me back after he saw that I initially gave 2 stars here. He spent 2.5 additional hours fixing some of the issues (including retouching the paint chips).. He's a man of his word and highly committed person. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 2 STARS. Despite other good ratings (the reason I went there), I have to give '2 stars'. I took interior + exterior and engine clean, costing 250. Car already is pretty good and clean, but I wanted to do the yearly cleaning -- removing scuff marks, seat cleaning and engine cleaning. I'd give 5stars to the interior but the exterior was a pretty bad job. The wind shield was not cleaned and I could still see streak marks from the past dirt trip. *A new thick scratch made on the interior of the windshield (perhaps worker wearing metal watch while cleaning?). *My car has a number of paint ships which were already corrected by touch up paint. I was told that these touch up paints cannot be "improved" by clay bar or buffing. I said that is fine. Due to high-pressure water or buffing, all those corrected spots have opened up.. and further paint chipping can be seen. THE WHOLE POINT OF DETAILING was to make the car look better NOT WORSE. Upon showing these open paint chips, a justification is given why this is a normal thing and bound to happen. When the car was given, Jeff (I guess the owner) talked and assured me a great job. But when I went to pick up, and Jeff is not to be found and another person who can barely understand or speak English is left to deal with me. If you have a cosmetically good car (but only dirty), do not take it to this center. They are too rough. But if your car OK to take rough/hard cleaning.. these guys will get it straight. read more

I had an amazing experience at Detail Plus! The staff was super friendly, I didn't need an appointment. I just dropped by and they saw me immediately. I got the DETAIL & ENGINE CLEANING - PACKAGE 3 for $325 and I gave a $65 tip. Idk if tips are required but they earned it! Even though their official hours on the weekend end at 5:00, they are willing to stay open and help me out until past 5:30. A nice, tall, short haired, blonde young man, maybe named Caleb, helped me out. He was awesome, super knowledgeable. He showed me the car after they cleaned it, said if there were any issues they needed to look at i had 7 days to bring it back. I then asked about a could scratched which mostly went away, but were slightly visible. he immediately got onto his knees and started polishing the car until I was satisfied. They did an amazing job on my car! Top notch! Why the low rating? They claim that they all wear masks - which is why I decided to get my car done there. The young man who did all of the paperwork and spoke with me DID wear a mask. While I was waiting for a ride home with LYFT, I noticed that a man - wearing NO mask - drove my car to be washed and proceeded to wash my car. I spoke with them and they told me that they ask their employees to wear masks. When I picked up the car, NONE of the employees washing/detailing cars were wearing masks. Claiming that they wear masks is clearly NOT TRUE. I am "older" and have health issues that cause concern about COVID. I will find another place. Too bad. read more

Great experience! It was Tuesday when I arrived at Detail Plus at 7:30am for an interior detail since I puked in the passenger side a few days ago. Although most of it was cleaned, some crawled down the side of the center console and chunks were lodged into the nooks and crannies of the track below. Fantastic service! Jeff was prompt in helping me. After taking my information and assessing the damage, he only charged me 25 extra.He later dropped me off at work and said he would let me know when my car was ready for me. Jeff called around 3:00pm notifying me that my car was ready. When I got there I was pleased when examining my car. The inside was clean, spotless, and shiny. I was surprised that they washed my car for me as well, even though I only requested the interior detailing. At home, I looked at the tracks and there were still some residue. No biggie, I just used a paper towel and wrapped it around a chopstick to dig the rest out. I highly recommend Detail Plus for your auto detailing needs. As I was driving down the Central Expressway today, some very considerate driver threw a can of orange spray paint out of his car which exploded ALL OVER my new (grey) car. I went through several stages of shock before I finally got my wits about me. I called several other places before Detail Plus, but no one picked up. Detail Plus picked up on the first ring and was able to get me in right away. They got all the paint off, washed the car, and vacuumed the interior for a reasonable price. I definitely will be back (and hopefully not because I have orange paint on my car). read more

These folks really did a great job for me. Researched a number of options on yelp. Overall score was high, although there were a few sketchy reviews here. I decided to go for it. Called and Mike picked up the phone promptly. Very friendly, informative, and efficient call to figure out they could pick up my car AND return it for a reasonable charge. I signed up for a +2 and the car pick up service. Renee showed up on time, actually a little early - which worked out better for me! She called in advance to confirm and made sure she spoke to me. Upon arrival, her story was very consistent with Mike's. She gave me a receipt for the car and we agreed on a method for payment and car drop off. Every step of the process was quality and professional and friendly. Renee drove away my car, left hers, brought mine back, left my receipt and it all worked out well. The detail itself was awesome. I'm sure the car is even driving better because it's so neat and clean. Couldn't be happier with the service and the experience. While more than I ever spent to clean a car before, after three years owning it and almost being ready to sell it -- in fact, I may sell it now because the photos came out so good from the detail job -- I would definitely do it again. Alright updated review... I brought my car back for an interior and exterior detail today and the job was good but not great. When it came time to pick up my car, I saw that there was a thin layer of dirt/dust on my windshield and the hood of my car and a few leaves stuck in the area near where my windshield wipers are. For sure my car looked a lot better than when I had dropped it off but for $275 + tip I expect to pick up a spotless car :( I did point out the dirt to the gentleman who had rung me up for the services and he immediately helped blow the dirt off my car and wipe down my car with a cloth and I appreciated that. read more

I dropped the car off around noon, they drove me back to work and then they called me to tell me my car was ready, exactly when they said they would. I generally expect my car to be absolutely spotless after detailing, but maybe that's too much to expect because it's never happened with any detailing service. They did a good job overall, but I later checked some areas on the doors that were still dusty, so they didn't really get all the nooks and crannies. If I had time to check while I was still there, I'm sure they would've taken care of it, but it would've been nice if they hadn't missed it in the first place. My Accord had been outside from a heavy rainstorm the night before I took it to Detail Plus and it had leaves stuck under the windshield wipers and stains on the paint from tree sap and bird poop. I'd never seen my car so dirty which is why I was so impressed with how clean my car looked after getting it back from Detail Plus. The car looked even better than when I first bought it from the dealership. The paint was silky smooth and the stains were all completely removed. The detailing was also finished an hour ahead of the time they told me when I dropped the car off. My car had all kinds of swivels and light scratches you could see. Even after cleaning and washing my car they were still really noticable. It looked new! It was amazing. It looked like a brand new car from the dealership. So, I took my car in Valentine's day weekend. Brought it in at 10am (make an appt) they called at 3pm. RIGHT ON TIME! Drove over to Sunnyvale and OMG! JUST LIKE NEW. Interior, under the hood, and exterior clean. The light scratch marks GONE. Swivel marks, GONE!. I couldn't be any more pleased with their work. Although it just rained, my car still looks brand new. The water jus sheets off like it was resilient. Wow! I took my car down there to get cleaned up because I was planning on selling it. I did a little research beforehand and I had decided to get package #2 which was a full inner and outer detailing. However, when I arrived at the shop the salesman informed me of their "Winter Special" which is basically package #3 but for about $30 cheaper than what package #2 was. Sweet! About 4 hours later my car was ready and I was impressed! Inside and outside were immaculate and the steam cleaning of the car's innards under the hood was showroom quality. Sure, you could take your car to an inferior budget place and pay $30 for a car wash but it won't come close to what you'll get from an well done car detailing. It feels like I'm driving a brand new car and I'm now having second thoughts about selling it! read more

Had both our cars washed here within the last two months. Most affordable place I've found for full hand wash and interior vacuum/wipe down. Looks brand new. Both cars parked outside, including one under a tree where seemingly an entire colony of birds dumped on it for months. We have multiple toddlers so interiors are a mess as well -- sand, rocks, cheerios, you name it . . . now looks absolutely perfect. Wash/clean service takes an hour, usually chill at the Starbucks around the corner with free Wifi until it's done. I've moved further up the peninsula but keep coming back here because of the availability (same day appointments), the quality (used 4 times now, and counting), and the value. Warning! If you have a brand new car, Do NOT get your car detailed here!!! Based on what I saw on Yelp reviews about this place, I trusted Jeff & his staff to do a great job detailing my 2018 Mercedes Benz E400 coupe. I went in a couple of days ago to get the complete detail inside & outside. Biggest regret of my life in spite of begging the owner Jeff to take great care of my car as it is in perfect condition. Being nervous about bringing my new car into this place, I took a 5 minute video of the condition of the car inside & outside just in case something happened to it while inside this shop. I waited at nearby Starbucks for over 2 hours hen checked back in at this place. The guys were looking at me as though guilty of doing something wrong. Anyway the car wasn't ready yet &'told to Come back in an hour which I did. First impression the car looked beautiful & shiny then I looked inside & when I looked at the back seat right hand side on the backrest & to my horror, there were 2 deeply ingrained dimples which weren't there before!!! Like someone used a sharp object & pressed it against the back seat!!! I called the attendant who called Jeff to complain about this. As Jeff left the shop & had to come back to take a look. He tried rubbing it off but that didn't work. Very upset as you can imagine I said I would take it to Mercedes Benz of Stevens Creek to examine the damage. They said that someone put a sharp object against the seat back for a long period of time. They also said they will try to repair w a heat gun & charge me $210. If this doesn't work, they will have to replace the whole leather seat at a cost of $785 for labor & $854.10 for the leather. I just callled the owner Jeff about this & he completely denied his staff did any wrong! He kept putting the blame back on me saying that probably a child seat causes the damage in the backseat or my husband might have gone to Home Depot & placed some logs in the back seat! First we don't have any young children & don't own a car seat. Second, I'm the only one who drives my new car & no one else has the keys so his second theory doesn't work. Of course all his workers are in denial & won't own up to the damage they caused. Lesson learned, DO NOT bring your car to this place. It's a hit or miss especially with your prized new car! You cannot trust these people period! I'm planning to take legal action against this place to see if they can get the damage they caused fixed for me. They don't deserve any stars at all!!!! read more

Warm, personable customer service. High quality job for definitely the reasonable price they promise. Have gone twice - once last November, and again just this August. Both times, a full interior/exterior, with clay bar, tire shine, engine clean, etc. I love the little details - they shampoo the carpets and put all your random stuff that's isn't obvious trash into a plastic baggie and leave that in the car instead of leaving it all cluttered on the seat. They use a plastic sheet for the driver's side (because the paper kind would soak through). I had sap all over my car - no one said anything. I had recently scuffed up the hubcap and tire - they looked 99% brand new. I got the winter special when I went in Nov. I got a callback from Renee in late July/early Aug offering a discount "recall" rate for the same service, telling me the original regular price, so I was like, cool, I'll come back, I had a great experience the first time. The first time they missed some spots with the wax but it was not as sunny/obvious at that time of year. Yesterday when they were finished they only missed one spot that I can tell as I walked around it. On the way out got a warm thank you and a hand shake and the quip that I can't be missed in my car. (It's "burnt sienna" or something like that, basically dark red orange). But my baby was gleaaaaming on the inside and out and I could finally stop feeling embarassed riding around in my dingy unloved sports car. Now, she's back to being a candy coated car drop.
