This place is awesome. The decor is simple and authentic. Pretty scenic pictures on the wall with German music playing in background. You can order to go at a counter or seat yourself. We started with a Kase plate with 4 different cheeses served with bread. There was one that looked like a mix of egg salad and potato salad that was my favorite. The waitress described it as similar to a beer cheese. There was Swiss, Camembert and a spicy Gouda. My husband had the Gebackener LeberKäse - Mix of Pork, Beef, German Sausage Loaf with potato salad or fried potatoes small side salad. He had it with fried potatoes that had plenty of onions. It was liked a fried thick cut bologna. Very flavorful. I had the Rouladen - A delicious blend of bacon, onions, pickles and mustard rolled together in a thin slice of Beef served with bread dumplings and red cabbage. The rolled beef was so tender and served with a gravy over it and the bread dumplings. Everything was great. They have their ABC license and serve some beer and limited wines. It's a family run business and I know one of the parents speaks German as well observed them speaking with customers while we were there previously. They have dessert, but we had no room for that after eating our app and meal

Wonderful and delicious German cuisine here. I've gone two times now, one time for dinner and one time for lunch so far. The dinner menu and the lunch menu differ which is fine and I like that they do this.the dinner menu has larger portions and more items to pick and choose from. The lunch menu has smaller portions and less to choose from, but non the less it's still good. I like that the restaurant follows traditional European traditions too such as closing for two hours mid day and being closed on Sundays. The staff here is very friendly and the service is good. The ambiance is cute. I will definitely be going back again.

I went for lunch service and wasn't impressed to say the least. The restaurant is cute, and it is seat yourself, and the seating was full of food crumbs from previous diners. The lunch menu is very limited, no fresh green salads or spaztle. I tried the goulash soup for starter, it lacked traditional seasonings and was very greasy making it taste like I was drinking a greasy water broth. It was served with a slice of bread cold and no butter. For my main I had the mushroom schnitzel with potatoe salad. The schnitzel was cooked well, but the canned mushrooms with packaged brown hravy ruined it and the potato salad was cold, no seasoning, and unlike any German potato salad I have ever had. They put pickles in it. It was not fit to eat. The service was no better, only saw the server twice. Once to take order and then to drop off the check. Lunch was delivered by the kitchen and a different server took our plates and drinks before we were done. Only 2 stars, one for the atmosphere and one for prices. I won't be returning.

The food was good and the service was excellent. The menu offerings were exactly what I expected. I'm looking forward to eating there again.

Everything was just ok, its was over priced for what portions you get. For what essentially as the staff called it a fried pork chop.

Whether it's with friends or just the two of us, we've never been disappointed. Let's see how this visit went. We were immediately seated once we walked inside. It wasn't completely packed for a Saturday afternoon but staff was really busy with customers. The vibe was one that made us comfortable for the most part. After a few minutes of looking over the menu, we were ready to order. My selection was the Tavern Monte Cristo which consisted of chargrilled chicken and ham as the protein with Gouda cheese and cider aioli fried in a tempura batter with tavern fries. The meal was served hot and ready and tasted great. And having the cranberry coulis as a dipping sauce really added some taste. My only gripe with the sandwich was the amount of protein. I'm not sure if I ate most of it when we dined in, but when I ate the rest for dinner, it was more breading than anything else. Still good but they could've included more. Nonetheless, I was full. Good stuff as always from Park Lane Tavern :)

We picked up 2 coffees and some German cookies. They were thin wafers, covered in chocolate on one side. We ordered at the kiosk and the baristas Alexa and Annamaria made excellent iced latte and white mocha frappes. We knew we had to come back for food before leaving the park and honestly the chicken, sausages, cabbage, potatoes were excellent. We topped off the day with a light and yummy black Forrest cake. Be sure to ask for the Gulden's mustard though, it's better than the yellow they have for people who don't know better

So here it's all about the sampler platter as you get a collection of some German goodies from bratwurst, knackwurst, chicken, corned beef, sauerkraut, homemade German potatoes & red cabbage making for quite the plate so go hungry because it's a lot that will be the only thing you'll want all day! Each of the components on the plate are actually pretty good and this has remained consistent for the last few years while it's not totally authentic it is good enough for park food and that red cabbage and German potatoes salad are super yummy especially the big chunks of apple I got in the red cabbage the sausages had a good snap to them and tasted just like they should! The cheesecake was mid definitely lacked being a cheesecake but I will say before I got a pice of carrot cake here and that was actually really yummy. The fried pickles were ok nothing special I'd just avoid them next time all together and get the sliced one instead as you can't ever go wrong with pickles! The SeaWorld chain has the highest prices for everything no matter what you get or what your doing and they like to tack on a extra 5% charge at the register that they try to hide so be prepared for that too as it's not really clear I just know this because I've seen them do it for the last few years. The dinning area is bench row seating and you can generally find a place to sit even on busy days as this whole area is huge and definitely a nice way to get out of the Virginia heat! Time your meal to one of the shows and you'll get to hear some entertainment on the stage which just sets the ambience for a bit more of a vibe! So overall had we payed full price for the meal it would have been $127 for two of us so definitely use a pass discount should you come here as that will definitely help out a bit, and like I said this is the best restaurant in the chain and we will definitely be back here again during our next visit to the park as it's always what's good!

The dog, while flavorful in terms of the seasoning, was saturated with grease. And there was no pretzel around this dog. Instead, it was like a brittle puff pastry. Once again, there is no sign that anyone in this establishment understands how a pretzel differs from other bread items. In Germany, this would have been a crime. But the most embarrassing part was the side of potato chips. When I saw them in the storage bin they were being kept in for service, I thought they looked gross. In my basket, they looked worse. Overcooked if not burned. My wife at a couple. I ate one and tossed the rest. Absolutely vile. How a food service manager in that establishment would allow those chips to be served to (over)paying guests is beyond me. Again, like in the other BG eateries I visited, no one cares, no effort is made, and no pride is taken. The guests deserve better standards and some effort to demonstrate that BG appreciates their businesses.

However, the product itself is very tasty. The employees are friendly and helpful if not a little rushed. The outdoor seating area is a nice place to enjoy a pretzel and a drink under the shade. All told, it's one of the least expensive places to eat in the Busch Gardens park ecosystem, but it's still expensive.

I ordered the corned beef and cabbage... man it's going to be hard to try other things on the menu because this was actually perfect. Well, one thing I would LOVE to see is some gravy on the mashed potatoes or even on the side. The potatoes taste great themselves but something in this dish is lacking diverse flavor I feel like that would have brought everything together to make it 10/10. I will still get it again though!
