Deceptive Menu. Cucumber has no business being on the menu at all.
Jon B.

The deception on their menu is next level. Was looking forward to something unique and was utterly disappointed. On the menu for wings and sauce/dips it says; "Buffalo, Hot Honey, House Dry Rub, Mustard BBQ, Cucumber, Ranch or Bleu Cheese" I ordered Cucumber. They gave me cucumber slices!!!!! What?!?!?!?!? In fact, they don't serve any type of cucumber sauce or dip whatsoever. If by cucumber they mean "cucumber slices" why not put carrots and celery on the menu too? I don't understand why they would even put cucumber on the menu at all, yet alone next to the sauce, or dip, or something if they don't have some sort of cucumber flavored something to match where it's listed on the menu. It just doesn't make sense IMO I honestly would have gone elsewhere had I known that the menu was this deceptive. I like looking for unique flavors and cuisine when I travel so I was excited to try some sort of cucumber flavored dip or sauce. Such a disappointment. I only paid for the food because my server was nice and let me order right before close. Lesson learned. From now on I'll ask what everything is before I order.

This was a much needed meal after a very stressful experience dealing with canceled and rerouted flights. The burger was good and so were the drinks. I don't fly through this airport very often, so it was good to try something new.

This is really a great stop for airport dining. I had the Virginia burger which was delish and gets large. I added bacon and it was quality bacon freshly made. The fries were delish. Fresh, salted but not overly. My only reason it isn't 5.....service and food are both an airport 5 star. BUT they only serve their beer on draft. That's a knock for me.

Quick sop while waiting for our flight back to Seattle. This was quick and friendly. Nachos is expensive though it isn't everything expensive these days!? Anyway, it was delicious. Looks good on the picture and tasted very good too. It was scrumptious, lots of guac, enough cheese and everything else. Well portioning. The pulled pork? Wow! Delicious! The only challenge was getting a comfortable table for two. They were busy! Anyway, try the nachos! I love my nachos!

While waiting for a later flight back home to CLE (we missed our original connection), we wandered the concourse for a place for an early dinner. After a quick interwebs search we decided on this spot for a meal. Was not super-busy, so we were sat right away and our waitress efficiently took our orders. We split a chopped salad and a fried chicken schnitzel sandwich with fries. Both items came out promptly and were of a higher quality than we'd expected from airport food. Would definitely venture back here, if again stranded at IAD.

So unfortunately the lounge in Dullies was full to capacity so I was forced to find food in the airport. The closest food place to our terminal was Devil's backbone. First let me start off the service was excellent my waitress was constantly checking to make I was good & needed anything. Knowing I had a 8 hour flight I decided on something not too heavy. So I elected to have the fish & chips with a side of ginger ale. When I tell you that was the wrong move the fish was pretty bland & everyone knows the fish is only as good as the seasoning you have on it. Only thing that salvaged the meal was the delicious dip that comes with the fish & chips. And all of these adventure can be yours for only about $20 bucks.

Fish and chips... taste great! I took the photo after messing around with the plate a bit messing up the presentation.

Food is fast and great, the beers are even better, and the staff is absolutely fantastic after a little bit of getting to know them. You have to realize that they probably deal with a lot of unpleasant customers, so they warm up rather well if you are nice to them. My Go-to bar for international flight prep!

One of the highlights of the night was meeting the owner, Jason. We bonded over our shared Cantonese backgrounds and even got to meet his aunt, who was visiting from California and happened to be sitting next to us. It made the whole experience feel incredibly welcoming and personal. We ordered the Dynamite Roll, which was a solid choice with 8 generous pieces, and the Szechuan spicy wontons, which were juicy with just the right amount of heat. If you visit, definitely grab a seat at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, engaging, and really add to the experience. We were treated to a complimentary shot of Jäger with Jason and even got to sample their Lychee Pearl cocktail because the bartender had made an extra. The cocktails really stood out. Instead of masking everything with sugary juices, they use extracts and creative techniques to build balanced drinks that complement the flavors beautifully. Jason also mentioned that their cocktail specials change every month, so we already told him we'll be back regularly to see what new creations he comes up with.

I've been here a few times and tried several different things. All average or basic. Nothing wow. I think people come here for the drinks and vibes. Which is fair. Cool ambience. Music, dim lighting, comfortable booths and plenty of parking. Hard pass for me. Prices are a bit high given the portions and quality. But whatever. Don't take my word for it, give them a try for yourself. I've had enough. Unlike their dishes, I'm not salty, just won't be back

Many people were ordering the Aperol Spritz drink special, so it seemed to be a crowd favorite. Overall, I enjoyed both my meal and the service. The lounge was definitely packed for a Thursday afternoon, although the many weather related flight delays likely contributed to the crowds. I was able to find a seat at the bar within a few minutes of arriving, but I noticed several people waiting around for a while hoping to find an open seat. Despite it being busy, it was a nice way to spend a long layover.

I also like how much flexibility you have when you're ordering on the QR code. When we arrived, the lounge was at capacity and so we were placed on a short waitlist and we were off within 10 minutes. Because of its capacity, they do direct you where you should sit, which was OK since I was traveling with just my parents. The lounge is split into two floors with really good ambience though like mentioned earlier they do try to fit as many guests as possible so we can feel a bit crowded!

There's windows all around so you get alot of natural sunlight during your dinner. The food was excellent! It was by no means packed, there were a few tables empty the duration of our meal as people ate and left. But the service was INCREDIBLY slow. They sent out an amuse-bouche which was nice- bacon and pimento in a little wonton cup. Our appetizers came out more than 30 minutes later. We ordered our son's kid's meal first, before we ordered our apps, but it came out after our entree's which was closer to 7:15. I assume the kid's meal coming out late was an awful server mistake, I can't imagine it would take over an hour to make a burger and fry up some potatoes. The chef was nice enough to let us order the octopus from the tasting menu (it was the only reason we came here, didn't realize it was part of the tasting). I almost did order the 5 course tasting menu, because it looked really good- but I'm so thankful I didn't. The table behind us was seated before us and by the time we left he was only on his third course. I'm also always cold but it was really warm in the restaurant. Not sure if their ac was broken or if it couldn't keep up with the weather. Not knocking the restaurant for this, things happen. But they probably could've used another few fans. We were the one table in the middle so the air wasn't getting to us. Not knocking the restaurant at all for this, it's a hot hot summer and things like this happen. The kid's meal portion was huge, actually bigger than my gnocchi order. We also ordered the brussels, pork ribs, seared tuna, tagliatelle, branzino, and pork chop. The pork chop was the most memorable thing. Based on this experience we wouldn't come back here on our own. We wouldn't rule it out though- if someone wanted to go here with us for any reason, we would consider giving it another shot.

I would recommend a reservation because with rain outside aka the patio being closed, the whole inside was packed. A lot of the seats are super close which feels very European but you can hear most peoples conversations which can be annoying. Our waitress was really sweet and stopped by a bunch. We started with French 75's, hot coffee, and an espresso martini. The drinks were refreshing and quite large for the price. The espresso martini really reminded me of a grown up hot chocolate, I really enjoyed it. I later also got a cucumber vodka martini and it was one of the most refreshing drinks I've ever had - definitely the drink of the summer. For our food we started with the baked brie with fig and garlic and the escargot. The brie was a unique take on baked brie, I loved the way the flavors all melded and the fact the cheese wasn't completely spilling out everywhere. The escargot was soft with a phenomenal crumb/butter mix, the whole things really melded well and melted in your mouth. The bread served with it was nice as well, if only I had a bit more of it. For our mains we were here during brunch so we got the lobster omelet and the French onion soup with the side of fries. The french onion soup was great, a good amount of cheese and onions without being overwhelming. Fries were fantastic and quite large, a big portion for $7. They hooked it up with the amount of lobster. I would definitely come back to try their lunch tasting menu or other brunch items as well!

The short ribs fell apart without a knife bc they were sooo tender and the desserts were expertly crafted. I might go back just for dessert yum!! The Brie appetizer was enjoyable though a little small if splitting. The shrimp cocktail were very traditional. I enjoyed them. My husband loved the homemade baguette although I wonder if it's because the butter was so good; the bread itself was a little hard for me and of course room temp as is typical in France. Kids enjoyed the kids options (though preferred our dishes). Pasta in cream sauce and steak frites were their choices. It was really loud inside particularly when tables in the middle of the room were occupied. Outdoor patio might be pleasant for easier conversation. Also bring a sweater- if you end up under an ac vent, it can be cold.
