A friend joined me last minute and ordered the Gulf Fried Shrimp with Cajun fries, and that was another 10/10. And we can't forget the Raspberry Refresher--a blend of house rosé, Hendrick's gin, lychee, and raspberry purée. Delicious and officially my drink of Summer 2026! Simple bar eats with an unexpected twist, and I loved every bite. The only thing that made it home was the rest of the sausage stack, and that was intentional! I love throwing them in the air fryer the next morning and pairing them with fried or boiled eggs. Yum!

The room also had a personal fan for air circulation and an independent speaker system to adjust music volume. For drinks, our group got a variety of cocktails, beer, and wine. I got the Hugo Spritz which was a great portion & tasted amazing. While some cocktails on menu were expensive, my Spritz was $14 and my friend's tito's dirty martini was only $13. Definitely consider just ordering a classic versus one of their mixology offerings if you're looking for a budget conscious option. For starters, we shared the Stuffed Mushrooms, Calamari, and Spinach & Artichoke Dip. The portions were good for sharing. The Stuffed Mushrooms had a seafood mix in them with a delicious sauce paired under. The Calamari had a hint of spicy to it but nothing crazy. The Spinach & Artichoke Dip had a good truffle note and was creamy; the dip could have used a few more chips but some individuals used the complimentary bread slices. Most individuals got a soup or salad before the mains. The Lobster Bisque Soup was rich and creamy with a good amount of lobster. Others tried the Caesar, Chop, and Field Green Pear Salads. The Pear Salad could have been shared by two people since it was a starter salad. Everyone raved about the flavors of these. For mains, most people got steaks and shared side dishes of Brussel Sprouts, Truffle Steak Fries, and Asparagus. The sides were shareable for 2-3 people I would say. I ordered the Seared Scallop Pasta and loved it! The noodles were al dente, two sauces paired nicely together, and loved the vegetables that brightened up the dish. For desserts, we shared the Rocky Road Bread Pudding, Fudgy Chocolate Cake, and Orange Vanilla Cream Cheesecake. Every option brought its own flavor and offered something for everyone. I tried the Bread Pudding and Chocolate Cake and WOW! I'd certainly order either one again. While all of the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great, I struggled some with the service. Our main server was Christine who guided us through the menu nicely, made sure the room was comfortable for us, and had a sweet demeanor. The pacing of food was a bit off where it felt like dishes were being taken off the table with a couple of bites left just to serve the next course. I'm not a fan of wasting food when out and I felt these little bites could have been saved and sent home with guests. If we paid for it, we should ALWAYS be asked. There were a couple of side requests that came to the table very delayed and one meal that came at the end of dinner. I'm sure it is difficult to manage a large group setting but I felt disappointed to see items wasted, pacing rushed, and certain people waiting to enjoy till additional items came.

Spinach and sweet potato sides were plentiful. The four of us shared a blueberry Bundt cake with ice cream. Though the service was stellar we left feeling that our entrees were mediocre at best. We did have an enjoyable meal in a perfect atmosphere. Were the entrees worth $70(+/-) each? Sadly, no. It has been years since we had dined at a Gibson's. We agreed that we remember the entrees to having been better than "just ok."

I have enjoyed eating at Devon for many years. Food is always outstanding and the Happy Hour is great. I would not have written this less than stellar review if I hadn't experienced the same thing on two different occasions. At last night's visit, we, a party of two, arrived a little after 7 pm. The place was 20% occupied at best. We were seated immediately. Our server took my drink order and it arrived quickly. Within about two minutes, she came for our food order. We barely had time to look at the menu and asked her for a little time. Less than five minutes later, she appeared again. I was a little annoyed but I put in my order. We also ordered a bottle of wine. Our food arrived before the wine did. We had the feeling that the server wanted us out ASAP. I checked my watch as we were leaving, and we spent exactly one hour there. Everything about our visit felt rushed. It's not as though we arrived just before closing time. And, our server had no other customers. We received the very same hurried treatment the last time we were there. I feel that at Devon, with its upscale atmosphere and somewhat pricey food, diners should be able to relax and chill out. That was definitely not the case over the past two visits. Once upon stood a great Seafood location in Oak Brook called Braxtons. Well a few years ago they moved and we finally found out that Devon was the old Braxtons. I came in there and sat at the bar with my girlfriend. The entire time I was sitting on the end, I was over hearing servers moaning and complaining about how slow it was, their bad tips, and about how horrible their bus boy was! What a nightmare to listen to. My wife and I indulged in some happy hour snacks and weren't too impressed. The calamari wasn't hot, it had been sitting for a while. The tuna tartare was good. We shared a Seafood Mixed Grill and was shocked at how small the portions were now. Funny thing was, the plate was scorching hot, but the salmon, shrimp, and crabcakes were not so much. Finally a manager came over who looked like she was strung out on crack, with bags under her eyes and mumbling to us. Ah, the Christmas Day dining experience--a holiday tale of good food and questionable logistics. Upon arrival, the male host asked about a reservation, even though the place was half-empty. Apparently, those tables were "booked." Just as we were about to give up and leave, another host swooped in, suggesting we try the bar area. Great! Except... once there, a server informed us those tables were also "booked." Instead, we were directed to the actual bar itself. The food? Surprisingly good--definitely worth the prix fixe price for the quality and flavors. But here's the kicker: when we left, there were still plenty of empty tables in the bar area. The verdict? Table management could use a Christmas miracle. What could have been a glowing 5-star review was dimmed by the front desk's chaotic customer service. This was my first time at Devon in Oak Brook, usually going to one in Downtown, and i got very disappointed with this place. After having a dinner with my wife and my mother in law at this place I got charged more that is amount on the receipt ( compared with my bank statement). Our waitress added bigger gratuity and when I called, the manager offer me an apologize and told me that she will reimburse for the amount that I was over charged and send us a gift card that I didn't evan want it . After checking a new bank statement ( 1 month after) I still didn't get my money or a gift card. BE AWARE of this and if something like this happened to you just call you credit card company, better than deal with people at this place. read more

I recently visited Devon and dined on their patio. It was small, but nice. The constant traffic was distracting, but as it got dark it was less noticeable. The rolls they served were warm and good and they came by several times to offer more. I had a caprese salad which was good especially with the basil ice cream they served with it. The crab cakes I got looked good, but the crab meat did not seem fresh, it seemed frozen and a little off. The apple dessert was very good. I will go back. read more

When they were the Braxton or whatever at the mall, it was one of the best restaurants there. Now it's almost intolerable. Dark and depressing. Food is excellent. We used to go all the time when they were in the mall , we rarely go now. They had cute women bartenders, now some old guy. Oysters were shucked at the bar. It's just yuck. Can't believe it's still open. Much better when it was Gianotti's. I doubt that we'll go back. Get some experts in there to figure it out read more

We combined a New Tears Eve dinner and my birthday dinner into one. Devon did not let us down. From the drinks to dessert, the meal was superb! They have new biscuits, Black Peppercorn and Cheddar Cheese, and they are just as tasty as the old biscuits. They give you the recipe, too!! Our waitress, Demi, was excellent. This restaurant has great service and the appetizers and entrees are very tasty. I enjoy getting the lobster bisque and one of their many seafood selections. The seafood is fresh and delicious. Prices are a little high, where I know a couple of other places with the same quality, but prices are a little less. Nevertheless, I do recommend it. I don't think the environment can be beat, however, sometimes I feel like it can get hectic and the crew over there doesn't handle that very much. Long waits, and wrong orders. The food is very good. My wife usually gets the tenderloin rare with a few sides, while I tend to go with the Ditka's Salad -- I know, we have it backwards. The Aperol Spritz is excellent, and the vodka martini, shaken tableside, is a great touch. The service may be the high point: thoroughly attentive, professional, and polished. It is pricey, but good steaks are expensive almost everywhere these days. I'd put Ditka's somewhere between Morton's and Wildfire -- upscale and well-run, but still comfortable and approachable. Not quite a Capital Grille-level experience, but definitely a very good one.

The chopped coleslaw accompanied the order allowed for an addition insult...a mouthful of diced onion. The service was professional and handled this situation without complaint. Hopefully The management will try a tasting and revise recipes, or caution customers.

Below I detail why B.restaurant is my new local breakfast favorite... The hotel/restaurant is very easy to get to! The parking lot is huge and you can always find a space. The view from the dining room is amazing overlooking the pool, pond and golf course! The food is amazing! The menu has plenty of choices and the prices are very reasonable and comparible to other local breakfast diners. But at B.restaurant, the quality of the ingredients and plate presentation are supurb. All meals are made-to-order and arrive at your table fresh, hot and delicious! The waitstaff is very attentive! They are constantly coming around with a fresh carafe of coffee and water. Marika, the manager, stopped by our table to check if we were enjoying everything. She is absolutely delightful!!
