Once again, I'm dealing with Dewey Pest Control and their shady actions. I literally told them I had my identify stolen, which is why my card was not able to be charged(m; it was closed. Unfortunately, I'm dealing with that and Dewey IS NOT my top priority when it comes to dealing with this. And because they were so spotty with their service, tbh, I forgot I even hired them as they hadn't been out in months. I didn't even contact them again about them not coming out like they were supposed to because I've already been through this before. I'm sure they'd tell me the guy had been out, but I just SOMEHOW didn't see him on my camera again. Anyway, I spoke to someone last month, who told me I only owed $79 and that my account was closed. Awesome! It should not have incurred any more fees. However, before I could pay, they sent it to collections. Again, sorry Dewey, you aren't my top priority when I'm dealing with identity theft. Now, somehow, that $79 has jumped to $318, and they're claiming I haven't paid since March. Number one, that's not true, AND they hadn't even been back to my place since January. So, exactly what was I paying for? The no service? When I called the first time to cancel, IN JUNE, since that's when my contract was over, I had ONE service unpaid for, which was the March one, which I don't remember them coming out for, but okay. Whatever. I was told I COULDN'T cancel until I had one more service done, as per contract. Now, the thing is, THEY have breached contract multiple times by NOT coming out. And, as per my old review, this has been an issue before, which is why, when they stopped coming out, I just moved on and decided to cancel in June. I was contacted in October and told I owed $79, and that my account was closed. I made sure to ask if that was ALL I owed. They confirmed that. Cool. I'd pay it when I was done with getting my identity theft settled. However, now, they've lied to some debt collector and told them I owe $318 from March. This company is shady and lies too much. I would NEVER do business with them again. They're not getting extra money from me for whatever reason they've decided to make up. read more

Whenever I need additional service due to an increase in spiders or other pests, they always make every effort to come out right away. This week was exceptional. I called about increased spider activity and spoke with Andrea, who answered the call. She scheduled my next service appointment early since it was close. The technician, Malinda, texted me the day before to confirm her arrival time. Giving 3 stars because the first tech. Came to do an inspection without the proper height in his ladder(so he said) which prevented him from doing a full attic inspection. When I closed the door, he started treatment outside. My wife is an attorney and wants to sue Dewey for starting pest control while we were still in the house, but I calmed her down for now. JYRON AT DEWEY SAVED US FROM A PEST NIGHTMARE! At first, we regrettably had a different pest control company service the house we just bought (company name starts with an H). This was a terrible experience in many ways, including that our property was still swarming with lawn flies and the bushes infested with spiders and their webs. So, we called Dewey Pest Control because we had remembered their great services from a rental property we had lived in before. We requested Jyron because he was so pleasant to work with in the past, and once again, he did not disappoint! Not only is he incredibly friendly, but in one visit from Jyron, we have seen zero lawn flies, no indoor roaches, and the bush spiders are about 90% gone - hardly any webs returned, and the ones that did took weeks to form. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! We won't ever use another pest control company in Sacramento. read more

I used to have official pest control They use hoses and put gallons on your lawns , house etc. Dewey uses these little backpack sprayers. Needless to say they put out maybe 2 gallons of product. Plus they don't spray your lawns. Very dissapointed read more

Deceptive sales practices. I had one of their door to door salesman come and offer a one time inspection and service and decided to check it out since my area is infested. The salesman says he'd check back in a week to see if I was satisfied. Well, I wasn't. The service didn't actually cover everything they said they would do and seemed like a half ass inspection. A month down the line I get charged again and call to see why. Told I signed up for a year contract, which was not what I was told by the sales rep. Now they want to charge me a cancellation fee and the office rep speaks very condescendingly to the customer as if they are used to reaction. I imagine they get this a lot with the way they train their sales reps to not disclose all information. Told I should've read my contract, Ok, that's my fault. Still they try to sell you on service, but don't mention any of the major things like contracts. As I said, I was specifically told that it was a one time deal. I wouldn't have signed up for any contracts for this kind of service. Update: Seems they no longer want to take my calls, I don't know if they're a screening for numbers. Seems like they want to avoid speaking to me now. Terrible service. read more

I had a young kid come to my home and after letting him know I was with another company he was still persistent in me calling them to cancel and even offered to call them himself. I told him I would get around to it and he continued to be an annoyance and ask when I would do it. I just got home from work, had a baby and home to tend to, that was not a priority of mine. It was off putting and unprofessional. Please do better if you want business, I can almost guarantee if this kid had a better approach, I would've considered switching company. Had to cancel today. All the bugs and nuisance pests never left. Who knows if they actually do anything at all. Lousy service. Never a heads up on when they will be there. No actual schedule. They really couldn't care less about customer service either. We had to remind them 4 times, to spray for certain things, and they didn't even do that. I still have massive black widows, ants galore, and active wasps nests. Sometimes, we wondered if they even showed up. My fiancé's family has a scheduled pest treatment today and were given a window from 8-12 for the technician to show up. Given that everyone works from home and in call center environments we have been trying to call and see if we can get a more narrowed time window. I understand that a lot of customers may be calling with the same complaint but Sylvias attitude was super unprofessional. All we are asking for is the technician to let us know when they think they can get to our home as we need to properly communicate to our employers. We originally were told we needed to be out of the house for 2 hours but now we're told it needs to be 4 hours after. They should definitely be focused on not booking so many clients and have way better work methods to be able to facilitate how soon customers can be helped. As of now, we are calling every hour to see if there is an update. read more

I am taking these people to court. I was with these people for years! Then they just stopped showing up, but they continued to bill me. Then after 4 months of not showing up I stop the payments and cancel. Then they threatened me to go to collections. So I called and talked to them in person and I they wanted me to stay with them even though they had not been out for months I said no but they said I still had to pay them another payment so I said fine just take the payment and cancel my account. Well, months have gone by and now I have a mark on my credit because even though they took the final payment they sent to payment to collections anyways, and now it's messing with me trying to buy my new house. I will see you in small claims court I have the evidence on my bank account. read more

I like to take the time and thank Adam C . He thoroughly cleaned under the eaves and also my walls for webs and other debris . Before our service in the past, we had several wasp nests and so many ants but not anymore since we've been using their service. We also had a rat issue when my neighbors cleaned their garage out. They gave us tips on what to fix, for example, foundation screens and so on. We put out the snap trap and sticky traps provided, it has helped a great deal. If we had any issues in between our service they were gladly to come out. We have been happy with our service. read more

He is very professional, personable, and just an all-around nice person. He knows what he's doing! He always calls ahead of time to let me know he coming out to provide service (I'm sure they're trained to do that). And, once he gets here, he does service with a smile on his face! He leaves the appropriate door tag explaining exactly the services provided. I like that!
