We've had ant issues over the years but were always able to control them until recently. The ants would eat the Terro bait, but then pop out at another area of our house. After several months of fighting with the ants, a friend recommended that I contact APEX Pest Control. Jeff arrived at precisely the scheduled time and diligently planted the ant bait and sprayed the entire house inside and out. Jeff is so knowledgeable in dealing with ants and other pest. He knew exactly where to plant the bait. After a couple of days, all the ants were gone. I was pleasantly surprised and only wished that I had contacted them sooner. About a month later, flying insects returned to my front porch area. I called APEX and they sent Don over the next business day. Don is so pleasant and like Jeff, is very knowledgeable in his craft. Don spayed the porch area and inspected and spayed the exterior of the house where needed. Don asked if we had any issues inside the house. I told Don that we would see a couple of ants occasionally, but not to the degree as before APEX. Don inspected the areas of concern and planted more bait. I was impressed that Don was so proactive. I will continue to use APEX definitely. They are honest, effective, and worth it! read more

Been using them for couple years, haven't had any issues. This is Monday morning and I saw ants on Saturday and immediately called their after hours line with no reply. I call first thing this Monday morning and they have nobody that can come out until Wednesday because they are busy. Just in my opinion, you would take care of someone that is having issues first and maybe postpone a regular visit a couple days which nobody would notice. Our technician has been great but this incident with the office staff has left me with a bad taste. read more

I just used apex pest and had a terrible experience. I had them out and paid the bill on the spot of $84.00. Since the renter in the house refused to leave for an hour, while they sprayed, the tech was unable to spray and said they will come back at another time as long as we call within 30 days. This is when the trouble happened. When I called to get the house sprayed the manager or owner got on the phone and was so angry with me for underpaying for my service (which I never got) that he could't intelligently explain what the problem was. This was incredibly unbelievable. Because his tech gave me the wrong price on the bill, he decided to take it out on me. So I paid $84.00 for NOTHING. I still have not had my house sprayed and he refuses to come back and to top it off he is upset with me for the techs error in giving me the wrong bill. Strange Experience!!!! Well a representative from the company, a salesperson, just came to my door and asked to try and get me to sign up. Apex Pest Control is sending reps, door to door, DURING A PANDEMIC! Good lord why!? This is my first Yelp review and Apex Pest control is most deserving. I called Apex around 11:30am today to talk about dealing a wasp problem near my garage roof. This was the 5th company I've called. I wished I called Apex first. Jeff (He took care of the problem in such a short time, I hope I have the right name) was at my home within 30 minutes. We have been using them for about 5 years. We haven't run into any issues per se. Our current rep that comes out is named Cesar. Always super friendly and helpful with big smile on his face. We are definitely lucky! When we had issues with ants showing up, it was taken care of immediately. I'm not sure if it's our location or just our super nice rep, but we have but all good experiences. It's hard to find good hardworking people, which might be the reason for some negative reviews. It's a hit or miss at times. The previous company we had was horrible, but others had nothing but positive things to say. So, I think with company's like this, it could be a hit or miss. We nailed it. Very irritated with this company's current attempt to attract customers. I was at home the other day had company over answered my door to an Apex Salesman he doesn't say hi how are you he says very loudly I'm here about the cockroaches. I said I'm sorry I think you have the wrong house. I have pest control through someone else and he was just here a few days ago. He replied well that company is basically bad and won't get rid of my roaches. I said sir I don't have any and i would appreciate if you would please leave. The same evening at 8:51 pm another apex salesman came to my door and used the same line. I'm sorry I do not appreciate a knock at my door 9 min before 9 and to have the same company at my door again. First of all, Heather, the customer "service" rep, is rude beyond words. I just moved into a house that had been getting regular service with Apex for at least a year. The first night I moved in, I heard rats in the ceiling of my master bedroom. I thought it was squirrels on the roof, but after several nights of this, I thought--to my great disgust--that it could be rats. Since my HVAC guy was coming out in a few days, I decided I'd have him look around in the attic and take pics if he saw anything of concern. When he came, he did not have good news. He had several pictures that just about knocked me out, but most interestingly was the packages of rat poison strewn around random areas in the attic. So I called Apex and asked them what methods of eradication they used with rats and sure enough, they said they use rat poison. Anyone who knows anything about rodents knows that the LAST thing you want to do is have a bunch of dead rats in your attic. So now I'm dealing with live rats, dead rats and the vermin that dead things attract. When I asked her why they just throw poison in the attic and leave a bigger problem, she got very defensive and unprofessional, repeating over and over that they don't do "exclusion work or repairs." By the end of the conversation, things got ugly. I would NEVER use this company. Clearly their methods are NOT geared toward the customer's well being! read more

They sent my account to collections. $58 for the service and $50 for the cancellation fee; a service that was not completed and a "membership" that was not cancelled. I don't even remember getting a phone call regarding this matter. All of a sudden I get a letter from an attorney about a collection of $108?! $108 that could have been dealt with if you just gave me a call but is now on my credit. read more

When we were awakened at 3:30 in the morning with rats rumbling and squealing in our attic we also finally broke down and called a Pest Control for Rats. We came across APEX, read their information and called. The woman on the other end was very friendly and very informative. We set up an appointment and were told Joe would be our technician. Joe was very knowledgeable, gave detailed information with regards to techniques, strategies, traps and chemicals to be used and friendly as well. Joe did an assessment, treated the outside, planting traps and also the indoors. Joe suggested we leave for an hour after the interior was sprayed, so after he was finished my husband and I took our dog and went for a walk outdoors. Wasps built nest on our rear exterior wall. Called Apex Pest Control based on recommendation of our handyman Sam. Glad I did. They were very prompt and accommodating. Really good customer service. Jeff came out, sprayed and took down the wasp nest quickly and efficiently. A super friendly and personable guy. Explained the pest problem and the solution applied. Said our wasp problem or had it been hornets could have been much much worse. Since it wasn't, Jeff gave me a very substantial discount far lower than the original phone estimate. Today the new guy "Shawn" came over, introduced himself & listened to my issues. He told me what he was going to do to help with the black widows plus he also sprayed inside parts of my garage. His great work ethic today prompted this Yelp review but I should have written it long ago. The prior service operator, William & the one before him (forgot his name), had the same positive attitude. I have had Apex Pest Control now for over 6 years and have absolutely zero complaints. Apex is always great at handling any unexpected issues I may have but those rarely come about since Apex is so efficient at what they do! I more recently established service with Apex at a warehouse that I own... when I first bought the warehouse, it was covered with bugs, black widows and some even scarier looking things with a ton of legs!! After the first spray, I noticed a huge decrease in bugs and now they're pretty much non existent! You can't go wrong with Apex Pest Control... I highly recommend them!! read more

I want to share my experience with others, who might benefit from what I learned about this company during my brief phone initial phone conversation. It went like this: Hi, my name is Marion and I may have a seen several bugs in my bathroom and am wondering if I may need to get this checked out, can you advice me? Yes ma'm, we can do a bi-monthly service based on a contract for one year. I replied: I am not even sure I have a problem and you are already upselling me to a contract after one minute on the phone with me, I may not even have a problem, what's up with that. Reply: well, that's the only way we do it here. I double checked with the manager on this, his name is Brent, he also stated that no, they won't even come out to check things out unless I purchase a contract, after I told him that I would have appreciated an initual evaluation and estimate, he said: "We are glad that you are not a customer with us." Draw your own conclusions on whether you want to do business with someone like that. I don't. read more

I used this company for a year or two. I called to reschedule the day the person comes to my home and I was greeted by a very snotty and rude woman named Tammy. I asked for a manager and she informed me that he was off and would be back on Monday. In the meantime they sent someone to my backyard without my permission to pick up some traps while I was gone. On Monday the manager called and told me that Tammy had worked for him for a very long time and that they no longer wished to do business with me. I wasn't rude and I don't like being treated like they are doing me a favor. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. read more

You get the basics, spray around the house, quick spray inside. You pay $68 every other month or =$34 a month. They come every other month unless you call for an appt in the off month. They do not go in attic for any rodents, etc. There are way better pest control companies that do a better job. When I cancelled they didn't ask why, how can we keep your business.
