    Peppercorn Ranch Salad
    Phuong L.

This was our first time at Dewey's. We've heard their pizzas are delicious. I chose to celebrate my 40th birthday here today with my little family. I agree that the salad and pizzas were fantastic! Their service was horrible! We were given the wrong bill. We did not look at it. We just gave the waitress our card. When we were about to leave gratuity and sign it, we realized it was not our bill. It was definitely less than what ours would have been. We are honest people so we took it upon ourself to let them know. When they took our pizzas back to pack it up for us, the waitress informed us that she dropped the left over cheese pizza. She apologized and said she would take it off our bill and make a new one. Apparently the manager was suppose to come talk to us. The waitress came by and asked if the manager stopped by. He did not at all. We've all been done eating and we're just waiting for the new "cheese pizza" they were suppose to make for us. We sat there for about another 10-15mins waiting for the cheese pizza. We decided to just get up and leave. We saw the waitress and she said it's done and she would go get it. She came back out and walked straight to the manager. Apparently there was so many miscommunication between the kitchen, the waitress and manager. There was no new pizza being made for us. Literally wasted our time and energy. Disappointed on how management is! Our first time here and the whole experience was ruined.

    White pizza with meatballs.

The pizza was hot & fresh, meatballs were big and seasoned well, and the manager is the absolute best. I also usually get the peppercorn Ranch Salad and it has never let me down. Would absolutely recommend.

Very unprofessional I tried to call and place an order over the phone They can't. I walked in and try to explain them Half half They can't. My first and last time ‼

    Southwest BBQ Chicken Pizza

Since moving to Ohio, Dewey's has been on my list of places to try. I finally got to try it this past weekend while visiting a friend in Dayton. We ordered take-out on a Friday night and it was ready in about 45 minutes. We went with a medium (13") southwest BBQ chicken pizza and split a full peppercorn ranch salad. The pizza has a bbq sauce base, topped with smoked cheddar & mozzarella cheeses, black bean-corn salsa, chicken and roasted red peppers. The salad included romaine lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, shaved parmesan, red onions, topped with peppercorn ranch dressing. For some reason I was expecting Deweys to be a mainly carry out/delivery pizza joint, so was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the order -- the inside was packed with people dining in, they have a full bar and plenty of seating. One of the coolest parts was the glass panes that provide direct view of the staff members making the pizzas by hand. There were several children lined up watching, and I also enjoyed watching while I waited for the food to be brought out. The pizza was packed with flavor and I enjoyed the corn and black bean salsa. If I'm being hypercritical, the crust could have been a little crispier and I would have preferred the red peppers to have been cooked a bit more. However, I would definitely order the same pizza again. That said, since they have such a large selection of specialty pizzas, I could also see myself trying a different one! All in all, will definitely be ordering from Dewey's again.

Dewey's Pizza... where do i begin? First off, my lovely girlfriend and i were seated very quickly even when they were busy on a saturday night. and the pizza came out just as fast. Service was a 10/10; i was asked if i wanted a refill, more napkins, a box for our pizza, ect.. i was attended to more times in my hour long stay than my parents did to me as a toddler. just kidding, my parents love me. but that's besides the point, what im getting at here is there was never a dull moment here at Dewey's pizza. As for the food: My amazingly great girlfriend and i got the caprice pizza. the crust was fantastic, softer than my pillow after a 24 hour shift at work. the tomato's were delightful, tasted like they were handpicked from the kind neighbors garden down the street in your friendly suburban neighborhood. and last but not least, the cheese. not too much but not too little, just like little bears soup. it was just perfect!!!! shout out to Dewey's pizza on brown st. Dayton Oh. will most definitely come back on a day where i need a quick pick me up. love the service, pizza, and atmosphere. y'all are the best

First time at Dewey's. Place nice, clean, and busy but not overly busy. We started with a House Salad we split. It was tasty and big enough for both of us. We had a Large Specialty half and half, Don Corleone and Meatball. Don Corleone had plenty of Salami and Pepperoni toppings on a thick crust. Sauce is Spicy along with the Pepperoni. I thought it was ok my wife thought it was much too spicy. Meatball had plenty of Meatballs but was a little lean on the Fresh Mozzarella and Basil toppings. Some slices had hardly any at all on them. Servers were friendly and started out good but they seemed to be short handed and were not able to be as attentive as they should be. To be honest,we won't be back. There are too many other better pizza restaurants.

harvest salad. It's my absolute favorite!

Great pizza. Love to watch them toss and stretch the dough. Great service. Love they can do 1/2 of pizza of different type. Plus the they gave fabulous salads... the harvest is my favorite. They gave redecorated to be covid resistant. Only down side is finding parking is tricky.

We already loved Table 33 for lunch or brunch, but had never experienced their dinner menu.... Now, it's our favorite Dayton-area restaurant for any meal, snack, or cocktail. (Do not sleep on their wine list though, fabulous assortment and available for retail purchase) Friday night dinner reservations and we were floored with the recent dining room updates - including new dining venues off a hallway, each with its own unique decor (including a unique chandelier in each) and a truly decadent and unexpectedly private environment. Seating for 4 and above in the varying spaces. After dinner, we booked the guaranteed add-on table reservation at the adjacent venue, 'The Dessert Room'. A well-appointed room with a European decor and upbeat music settles you in for a delightful list of desserts, from gelato and macarons to pies and cakes, and a nice coffee, port, wine, or cocktail menu. The service is amazing. The food and cocktails, phenomenally good. The venue? Truly gorgeous. The owner is reinventing another adjacent property next to 'The Dessert Room', currently a mix of a Mexican fare (bowls, burritos) and tequila. Previously a coffee shop, interested to see what it ends up being to tie these venues together.

I was a little disappointed in the arroz con pollo. Rice was over cooked and the flavor was overall muted. For dessert, we tried obleas -- thin waffles filled with jam, caramel and cheese. The noodles are actually made in-house and have a lovely texture. I got the Classic Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and was definitely not disappointed. The broth is light, but full of flavor at the same time. It is truly very comforting on a cold winter night. I think the beef slices on there are a bit tough, but it's not too big of an issue. The portion sizes are actually crazy. I got the regular size and could finish maybe just half to 2/3 of the noodles, along with a majority of the beef. I can't imagine how massive the large bowl would be... For health, I also ordered some stir-fried bok choy. This was stir fried well, but I'm not really sure what the flavor profile was supposed to be. Is it garlic? Is it spicy? I couldn't really place it. Unfortunately, a recent experience has convinced me that I will not be returning. I placed an order and requested "no meat, more vegetables." I was told that the kitchen was unwilling to provide extra vegetables unless I paid an additional charge. What disappointed me most was not the charge itself, but the attitude behind it. It felt as though reasonable customer requests were viewed as an inconvenience rather than something to accommodate. This is also not the first time I have heard kitchen staff complaining about customer requests. In the past, I have overheard complaints about customers asking for less salt or making other simple modifications to their meals. As a long-time customer, it is extremely disappointing to hear staff openly express frustration toward paying customers for such basic requests. The attitude was unprofessional and unfriendly. After repeatedly hearing complaints from the kitchen about customer orders, it becomes difficult to feel confident about how special requests are handled behind the scenes. I have supported this restaurant for a long time, but this experience has left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I hope management takes customer service more seriously and addresses these issues.

I was even more drawn in by the fact that they specialize in Matcha drinks. I think we ordered about 1/3 of the desserts in the display case. One of my sisters is gluten-free, so she got a gluten-free cinnamon roll from a bakery they they partner with to supply their gluten-free desserts. I forgot to take a photo of the name cards, so I don't remember exactly what everything was called. We tried the raspberry Matcha croissant, the cozy croissant, a honey croissant cookie (basically a cookie made of croissant dough), a cinnamon roll, focaccia, a strawberry mascarpone croissant, a Caprese danish type pastry, a garlic cream cheese danish type pastry, a banana bread iced chai latte, and a strawberry Matcha latte. The pastries were all 10/5 stars-- truly. The Caprese one was topped with the best pesto Ive ever had. The garlic cream cheese one could be eaten for breakfast every day. The loxxy croissant was stuffed with smoked salmon and cream cheese and was so tasty that my sister who doesn't eat seafood, liked it and said she could eat a whole one herself. Everything bagel seasoning created a crunch on top that was just perfect. The strawberry mascarpone was a personal favorite for me. It just was so perfectly executed and the flavors we're all on point. It had strawberry cheesecake vibes, but the filling was lighter since it was mascarpone. The raspberry Matcha croissant was actually one of my least favorite items, though I did still really like it. It seemed like it was filled with both blackberries and raspberries, but I didn't mind. It was just significantly sweeter than the other desserts and maybe a bit much for me. However, I finished it the next day and really enjoyed every last piece of sugar. I'm thinking maybe in contrast to the other items, I just wasn't liking this one as much, but when it was standing on its own, it was great! The cinnamon roll was everything a cinnamon roll should be! It was even better because they warmed it up for us. The honey croissant cookie was simple and satisfying. I would eat those anytime. Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy a more simple dessert. The focaccia was some of the best any of us had ever had. I tried my sister's chai and thought it was really good, albeit too sweet for me to have ordered myself . Sadly my Matcha was too sweet as well, so I'm not sure I would order another. I was disappointed about that part since it's something the bakery is known for. The outside and inside of the bakery are both really cute! Everything is decorated nicely. They sell a little bit of boutique style clothing and some branded goods near the front. The staff taking our order were honestly not the friendliest, but I will chock that up to us being annoying, taking too long to decide which 10 items we wanted. We let everyone who came in after us go before us, but I'm sure we were still annoying. The staff who took over later in our visit when we went back up to order even more drinks and pastries were very friendly! Overall, a fantastic visit. I am sad to not live closer, but actually that's probably a good thing for my wallet and pant size. If you are in Dayton and considering a visit to Val's bakery, do it. Truly, no way you will regret it!

I do like creative explorations of culinary crossovers and fusion, but some thing are best left authentic with experimentation done along the edges. Being used to Indian cuisine, the chaat was not exactly what we expected, and the Sabich was missing one of the main ingredients (hard boiled egg) and just had large slices of fried eggplant over a thin garnish of fresh vegies rather than a shepherd's salad. It came with a side of humus and a mango chutney which I assume was supposed to be a substitite for the traditionally sour and umami tasting fermented mango (Amba) sauce. It was almost like they were going through the motions of the ingredients, not their culinary role and effect. Amba is supposed to give a counter-punch of strong curry flavor to the smoothness of humus. I felt a sweet mild mango chutney, even though they are both technically mango chutneys, missed the point entirely. In my opinion they need to re-think their dishes from scratch. I do believe they can do it and do great if they go back to the basics. I wish them the best of luck from the bottom of my heart! The service was very nice and friendly! We loved the staff! The decore is lovely and I liked the progressive conscientious political activism it projected.
