This was our first time at Dewey's. We've heard their pizzas are delicious. I chose to celebrate my 40th birthday here today with my little family. I agree that the salad and pizzas were fantastic! Their service was horrible! We were given the wrong bill. We did not look at it. We just gave the waitress our card. When we were about to leave gratuity and sign it, we realized it was not our bill. It was definitely less than what ours would have been. We are honest people so we took it upon ourself to let them know. When they took our pizzas back to pack it up for us, the waitress informed us that she dropped the left over cheese pizza. She apologized and said she would take it off our bill and make a new one. Apparently the manager was suppose to come talk to us. The waitress came by and asked if the manager stopped by. He did not at all. We've all been done eating and we're just waiting for the new "cheese pizza" they were suppose to make for us. We sat there for about another 10-15mins waiting for the cheese pizza. We decided to just get up and leave. We saw the waitress and she said it's done and she would go get it. She came back out and walked straight to the manager. Apparently there was so many miscommunication between the kitchen, the waitress and manager. There was no new pizza being made for us. Literally wasted our time and energy. Disappointed on how management is! Our first time here and the whole experience was ruined.

The pizza was hot & fresh, meatballs were big and seasoned well, and the manager is the absolute best. I also usually get the peppercorn Ranch Salad and it has never let me down. Would absolutely recommend.

Since moving to Ohio, Dewey's has been on my list of places to try. I finally got to try it this past weekend while visiting a friend in Dayton. We ordered take-out on a Friday night and it was ready in about 45 minutes. We went with a medium (13") southwest BBQ chicken pizza and split a full peppercorn ranch salad. The pizza has a bbq sauce base, topped with smoked cheddar & mozzarella cheeses, black bean-corn salsa, chicken and roasted red peppers. The salad included romaine lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, shaved parmesan, red onions, topped with peppercorn ranch dressing. For some reason I was expecting Deweys to be a mainly carry out/delivery pizza joint, so was pleasantly surprised when I picked up the order -- the inside was packed with people dining in, they have a full bar and plenty of seating. One of the coolest parts was the glass panes that provide direct view of the staff members making the pizzas by hand. There were several children lined up watching, and I also enjoyed watching while I waited for the food to be brought out. The pizza was packed with flavor and I enjoyed the corn and black bean salsa. If I'm being hypercritical, the crust could have been a little crispier and I would have preferred the red peppers to have been cooked a bit more. However, I would definitely order the same pizza again. That said, since they have such a large selection of specialty pizzas, I could also see myself trying a different one! All in all, will definitely be ordering from Dewey's again.

Dewey's Pizza... where do i begin? First off, my lovely girlfriend and i were seated very quickly even when they were busy on a saturday night. and the pizza came out just as fast. Service was a 10/10; i was asked if i wanted a refill, more napkins, a box for our pizza, ect.. i was attended to more times in my hour long stay than my parents did to me as a toddler. just kidding, my parents love me. but that's besides the point, what im getting at here is there was never a dull moment here at Dewey's pizza. As for the food: My amazingly great girlfriend and i got the caprice pizza. the crust was fantastic, softer than my pillow after a 24 hour shift at work. the tomato's were delightful, tasted like they were handpicked from the kind neighbors garden down the street in your friendly suburban neighborhood. and last but not least, the cheese. not too much but not too little, just like little bears soup. it was just perfect!!!! shout out to Dewey's pizza on brown st. Dayton Oh. will most definitely come back on a day where i need a quick pick me up. love the service, pizza, and atmosphere. y'all are the best

First time at Dewey's. Place nice, clean, and busy but not overly busy. We started with a House Salad we split. It was tasty and big enough for both of us. We had a Large Specialty half and half, Don Corleone and Meatball. Don Corleone had plenty of Salami and Pepperoni toppings on a thick crust. Sauce is Spicy along with the Pepperoni. I thought it was ok my wife thought it was much too spicy. Meatball had plenty of Meatballs but was a little lean on the Fresh Mozzarella and Basil toppings. Some slices had hardly any at all on them. Servers were friendly and started out good but they seemed to be short handed and were not able to be as attentive as they should be. To be honest,we won't be back. There are too many other better pizza restaurants.

Great pizza. Love to watch them toss and stretch the dough. Great service. Love they can do 1/2 of pizza of different type. Plus the they gave fabulous salads... the harvest is my favorite. They gave redecorated to be covid resistant. Only down side is finding parking is tricky.

We are in. We shared a 17" split of Don Cordeone and Caperice. It was excellent! Crust baked perfect and toppings were baked to perfection and very tasty. Next time I am ordering the Caperice pizza. It stole my heart and I want to recapture the experience - soon! read more

Decided to take my nephew out for what should have been a great pizza experience (I have been to Dewey's countless times) for him, it was not! The service was slow, we had to ask for refills, napkins, plates and our salad. The pizza was extremely disappointing, it "flopped" when you picked it up and it was not piping hot. Adding insult to injury, we were never asked about our food by any member of the staff or manager. I would rate 1 star if my previous experiences were as bad. Will definitely think long and hard before next visit. read more

We looked at yelp after a long day of travel. In looking at the reviews, we headed to Dewey's. Our waitress was helpful and got our salad to quickly. A small was big enough to share. We ordered the Don Corleone--- if you like spicy lunch meat this is perfect. But the star was the soft, tender dough crust. It was so good. Restaurant is more than just an average pizza place- more like perfect for a date night. But for 2 weary travelers it was quiet and delicious. read more

I'm always a fan of Dewey's, so I was quite happy to find one so close to our new home in Dayton! And this location didn't disappoint. It's had the same great service and quality of food as any other I've been to. On this particular day it was around 4:30p on a Thursday and there were only a few other tables that were full. This allowed the service to be extra attentive. We love their salads here. In fact, even though I was a vegetarian for twelve years I never really liked salads until I tried on at Dewey's. My go-to it the Grape and Candied Walnut (with mixed greens and blue cheese). But if you can catch the seasonal Harvest (with mixed greens, Boursin cheese, pepitas, figs and bacon), get that! You have the option of adding the cheese chicken, which I do if I'm having it as my entree and skipping pizza. In which case I get the full-size because it's huge and perfectly filling! Hubby and I also got a medium pizza - half Socrates Revenge (an old favorite) and Cubano (the current special). I actually ended up liking the latter even more! I particularly love Dewey's crust. It's not overly thick, but also not thin and burnt. It has the best chew ever! Check them out!! read more

Ordered just a classic cheese pizza for ~$10! The pizza was delicious and served hot. I got a side of ranch that was some of the best ranch I've ever had! We went at 12pm and it was very dead inside. However, the service was quite slow given the lack of customers inside. We were in a rush, though, so partly our fault. The staff seemed aware of this though and worked to get our food out. Pretty good! read more

Great service and selection of pizzas, salads, beers and desserts. The staff realized that one of the toppings on our pizza was incorrect before serving us, and proactively made us a new one AND refused to let us pay for either one. That is amazing customer service!! And the food was delicious, too!! read more

Dewey's is the most consistent and made with freshest ingredients to create the best Pie's (pizza) ever. We have been ordering Dewey's since it's opening in Dayton. They never disappoint. Today we ordered 2 large Pie's and 1 Strawberry Macadamia Salad. The pizzas are always amazing and fresh! The first pizza we ordered was half Bronx Bomber and half Porky Fig. The Porky Fig is specialty seasonal flavor pizza. It is super delicious in the sense that you taste salty and sweet flavors in one bite. The Strawberry Macadamia Salad is fresh and tasty with their poppy seed Strawberry vinaigrette dressing. Although it only had 5 quarter cut strawberries in this salad it was still good. We would recommend this location and would take our out of town friends and family to Dewey's anytime. read more

After a long day of work I was dusty and dry and hungry. I moseyed in to Dewey's expecting a college level pie shop slinging cardboard with tomato sauce on it. What I found was an absolutely delicious prosciutto and arugula pizza served by a staff that was friendly and attentive down to the last person. Well done, Dewey, we'll done. read more

Love this place! We ordered the original margarite pizza and it was so good! Super thin crust, garlic, tomato's, basil ..and the ingredients are all high quality. They had Yellow Springs Brewery beer on tap too which was a huge plus. Their salads are super good too. The whole family loves this place! read more

One of my favorite pizza places in Dayton. I typically go to Jasper location and get the peppercorn salad and a pepperoni pizza. The service here is phenomenal as a small business was owner I return to places that value me as a human a d here they do. When I'm just picking up they always say hi to my yorkie and very courteous. The pizza s fresh with a flavorful crust that you just wanna dip in sauce and eat by itself. Salad veggies are crisp and yummy!!! I heart Dewey's!!!!! read more

The food is always fresh and great tasting. Pizza and calzones made with fresh homemade dough. You can see the staff making your pizza or calzone from the lobby. Dewey's always has "seasonal" offerings for pizza and salads. I'm not much of a beer or wine drinker, but they offer a wide variety of wines and beers. Service is always top notch. You don't have one waiter or waitress waiting on you. The entire wait staff circles around the floor to ensure your beverages are always topped off and to see if you need anything else. Dessert offerings come from local pastry and bakery shops, such as Killer Brownies from Dorothy Lane Market. My favorites: Pepperoni, Bacon and mushroom calzone with a side of white sauce to dip it in and the Don Corleone pizza with a Caesar salad. For the salads that come with croutons, the croutons are fresh and homemade. Yum! Get the "Thanks" app and you can get $ off food at Dewey's. read more

One of the best Pizza places in the area. The crust is absolutely amazing, buttery and crunchy which is delicious and not many pizza places have crunchy crust that is tasteful. I'd rate it an A and a 9/10, will definitely try it again. read more

We've never had a bad experience here! The service is always on the spot with drinks and anything you may need. The pizzas are cooked perfectly and are unique to the restaurant. I wish there were appetizer options because the menu only has pizza and salad, and our family loves wings and breadsticks when we go out for pizza. However, the pizza never disappoints! We ended up here by default since they were open Memorial Day. I'm going with all the five star reviews! Excellent, excellent pizza. You can do half and half. We got Don Corleone (gorgeous) and Porky Fig (sweet). Lots of unique choices. read more

Pizza is pizza. It's hard to mess it up but even harder to get it right. They get it right. Caesar salad is wonderful. Great dressing and not swimming in it. Split your pie to try more options. We did the Dr Dre and Bronx half and half. Both outstanding. They have a white sauce (not alfredo) that's garlic, olive oil and mozz/fontina blend. Awesome and a nice change from a traditional marinara. It seems they use a group waiting system which is only annoying when 5 different servers ask you the same question within a few minutes. A small bother for never having to wait for anything. Good beer selection. read more

Guys! Best perk of this place is that you can order a half and half pizza. The sides don't have to have anything in common, not even the base (sauce). I am so thankful that I decided to stop in here. My husband is a vegetarian and I am not, so it makes it super easy to not fight over pizza! Also, the price stays the same. All that said, plus they do gluten free. I got half Killer Veggie, half Porky Fig. Paired with a side Peppercorn Ranch salad?! Yeah, it's going to be a good night. read more

Considering that we are going through a period of obstacles at many restaurants today. Many places are shorthanded and the ones that are working are lay back. You can tell by the service you are receiving, the workers at Dewey's Pizza in Manson Ohio was very pleasant... also the atmosphere was on point to dine in. This place was a welcome sight on a very rainy night in dayton. We got there kind of late, but service was just fine. After a quick drink order of a couple of beers, we each got a pizza. The pizza was awesome. You can go wrong with any of their pies. I would pass on dessert. I had the carrot cake and it put me in a diabetic coma. It was so sweet my teeth were tingling. read more

The service was great!! I love how you don't have one specific server everyone helps out and I think that beautiful! Though I was not impressed with the pizza. It was pretty average and was a bit burnt on the bottom, I got the Hawaiian. I also got the Blueberry Almond salad which was tasty. I wanted to rate this place higher just off the service alone but for this to be a pizza place and its just OK I had to bring it down a bit. read more

This Dewey's was much like those I experience in Cincinnati, but I made a very important discovery at this location-one I will not forget. Actually, the pizza tasted a bit fresher, lighter, fluffier on this occasion (I'd credit that one to being out of town for the weekend). I digress... As I have come to expect, service at Dewey's is largely friendly, quick, and complete. They were quick to seat, greet, and refill our drinks (helpful as I was a bit parched from running around Dayton all day). The meal the significant other and I had was a cap to our weekend before the drive home to Cincinnati. We split a pizza-half Caprice, half BBQ chicken. Simple enough. Done it before. Many times, in fact. This time though, it was different. I had a stroke of brilliance as I substituted the red peppers (I'm allergic to) for whole roasted garlic. I'll admit I order the calzone from time just to eat those huge, roasted, delicious garlic morsels. It had never occurred to me to add them to this delightful pizza. But I did. And it payed off, in bite after delicious bite of BBQ, chicken, garlic goodness. This location is open and conveniently located in the Brown Street area, by the University of Dayton. It opens to a seemingly shared courtyard with Coldstone and two trees were blooming and beautiful as I looked out onto the patio. The experience was what I expect from Dewey's as a chain, but also much more because we were out of town, it was a great spring day, and I discovered a pizza combo I'm never giving up on now! Let me tell you that if you love garlic. I mean like if garlic was the marrying type...this place is for you! I love garlic, don't get me wrong. But I like garlic that disappears by morning like a bad onenight stand. I was so parched (considering our server never came but once and no refills offered)...We walked out of there looking for a gallon bucket of water for the ride home. The taste of the pizza was ok. Not great, not hideous...but one experience was all we needed. Never went back and won't. If you want garlic on your breath, tongue, and a taste bud takeover for days (no matter how many times you brushed your teeth) by all means eat their pizza. Guaranteed you will have zero vampire issues. read more

The restaurant ambiance is nothing special when the doors are closed. We were there when it was snowing. The 2 garage doors open during the spring make the place special, I am sure.

I came with my whole family so we're on a long table waiting for our pizzaaaaas! Hah! We were glad we dined at Dewey's because it was the best! Socrates Revenge, Don Corleone, and Green Lantern along with the house and Greek salads. Beers for the adults too! We had fun dining here.
