Tony/Fabian worked hard to unclog my bathtub drain for only $69!! I used the plastic snake to get the hairs out of bathtub drain ( I have done it before, but after this time I will never do it again). As I pull out, 4 inches of the plastic snake broke and dislodged into the drain pipe. I was unable to see it after removing the drain stopper. But water was draining... But then after showering twice, noticed drain starting to slow again. When Tony/Fabian came, they said they will try to get it out from the overflow. If that didn't work, they will need to go to my clean out from the cap on the ground of garage...and had to use a camera to go into the pipe to search for the plastic. I am disappointed. They came in and were professional but I had 3 quotes today from 3 different plumbers for a "leaking" valve. I got quoted $1,200. Costco would not install my washer dryer unless i got this fixed. 2/3 of the plumbers today told me that there was no issue with the valve and its not leaking and has no issues. I am glad i got this tripple checked or else I would of been ripped off by this company. **update on my review: If the valve was not going to get checked and you sent a technician all the way out to my house, to not check it and give me a quote, you could of simply saved yourself the time and gotten me a quote virtually. Their plumber showed up drunk to fix the shower fixture the turns on/off the shower. I called owner and let him know what my tenant told me however the drunk plumber proceeded without intervention. They proceeded to tear off the part they were attempting to repair and flooded the bathroom, they did NOT turn off the water doing the maintenance. The water leaked into the unit below and the entire building's water needed to be shut off due to the emergency. Eventually another plumber was sent to assist. A routine repair now required all my hardware to be replaced as well as water damage mitigation. They brought cheaper replacements for my hardware and ignored my request for the proper finish (brushed nickel vs stainless steel). Eventually they replaced everything at an extra cost to me. The pictures below show how everything was left with no indications of any next steps. I, of course, complained and their fast talking owner tried to play it off like there was nothing wrong and they were planning to come back. They DID NOT communicate they were coming back to my tenant and only came back because I complained. I would never use this company. They turned routine maintenance into an absolute nightmare and their communication was a bunch of lies. read more

Update: I learned Home Leak and Drain Solutions do not have a plumbing. license. I asked for the owner for their license number and he wouldn't provide it. I looked up the business on the California State License Board and there is no license number associated with that business. This all started because their plumber did not have experience with my shower valve even thought it's common, he used the wrong tools instead of getting the right ones from his business, and ultimately he broke my shower value that was in perfect working condition prior to his arrival. (The issue he was supposed to fix was a cartridge which is a separate piece.) It will cost thousands to fix it and the owner, Carlos "Omar" Navarette, won't take responsibility or fix it. If he had a license and insurance, they would have fixed this. I would still like to see him fix the problem he caused and get a license for future customers. read more

Had a blocked drain 1.5 yr ago, and our business was out of commission due to water backing up multiple drains and flooding inside our suite in multiple rooms. Home Leak and Drain Solutions were very timely and courteous. They tried the conservative way to snake and clear from clean outs, but couldn't get far enough. They looked with a camera and discovered the main drain was clogged. They had us up and running in no time, and their charge was very reasonable IMO. The company was fast to respond and arrived in a timely manner. Eric assessed the problem and drove from La Mesa to Chula Vista for a replacement of the damaged cartridge. The cost was over $670 for the cartridge, labor, etc. The snafu arose when he came and told me that now it might be the valve and fixing that would be another $1,600. That did not sit well with me and I told him to just finish with the cartridge because I wasn't going to dump more money into it. He told me he was going to try something else and after two something else's, he indicated he had solved the problem. That was a relief but it took over 4 hours and that was a drawback for me. As a female dealing with this type of thing mostly alone (husband has cancer but entered into it toward the end), I have become very wary as a defense mechanism. All in all, the job was completed and Eric was nice but I would've given it more stars had it not come across as.....well I'm not quite sure. read more
