I used DH cake studio to create a custom cake for a 40th birthday party. Their communication was wonderful and they were able to bring my vision to life in the most spectacular way. When the cake came out, guests whipped out their cameras as if a celebrity had arrived. To top it off, the cake was delicious! Will definitely use them again!

Gender Reveal Cake Everyone had the impression that gender reveal cakes are usually super sweet... so we honestly didn't have the highest expectations for the taste But DH Cake Studio completely surprised us! The cake was so delicious, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet at all. It looked beautiful, tasted even better, and made our gender reveal extra special. Absolutely perfect for our big reveal! Our first experience with Daphne was back in 2022. I had just graduated from nursing school, and wanted a themed cake for my party. We yelped and researched and came across DH cake studio, it was a plus that she is also a food network cake off champ! We ordered a smaller cake, white cake, with mango mousse. Ever since then we've been hooked. Second time was in 2024 for our sons first birthday. A boombox themed cake, black cake with cookies and creme. Most recently for our son's 2nd birthday, Jollibee themed, back to white cake with mango mousse per our son's request. I cannot stress how easy communication and the design process is. What I love is that Daphne is very communicative, if not through email, through texts. Her cakes are ALWAYS a hit in any age group. Their execution is flawless, and the cakes always taste amazing. To our Asian tongue "not too sweet!" She's a cake off CHAMPION for a reason.

When I first saw my son's cake, it literally took my breath away. It was perfect! It was a work of art! Not only was it beautiful but it was so delicious! The bread was moist the filling was perfect, not overly sweet and you could taste the flavor of the mixed berries. Communication with the DH Cake team was fantastic. They delivered the cake at the exact time that we agreed upon. It was beautifully packaged and took care in loading it onto my car such exceptional service. I am beyond grateful for for the service I received I will be a repeat customer!

Best custom bakery in town if not the entire Bay Area! I live in Oakland and get my custom cakes here - that's how good it is. Gorgeous cakes and delicious too - we're talking gourmet quality. I ordered the white cake with strawberry filling for my son's first birthday party and ordered the same design as my first son's birthday cake because that's how much I loved it (animal safari). It's a stunning addition to your party - pictures don't do justice to the level of detail Daphne applies to her works of art / cakes. Guests are still talking about the design and the taste - light, delicious, and just the right amount of sweet. This isn't your typical sugar saturated cake that makes you nauseous afterwards. You will not regret your decision, this cake is worth every penny. Just contact her well in advance because she books up fast!!!

I was extremely disappointed with this cake. It was dry, tasted old, and the jam wasn't fresh at all. The decoration was sloppy--you could see folds and holes in the design, and it looked nothing like what I had asked for. What made it worse was being told last-minute (on the same day!) that there would be "slight changes," but the final result looked awful. I expected something beautiful for my 35th birthday cake, based on the promises made, but unfortunately, you did not deliver. I would never order a cake from your shop again, and highly recommend others to stay away. If you want something nice, move on to the next cake maker. After speaking to Daphne she did give me half my money back but I had no dessert for my special day and guests!

Daphne and team did such an amazing job on the custom cake I ordered for my friend's "dumpling themed" baby shower. I was desperately trying to find a bakery who could take a custom order on short notice when my other shop fell through, and Daphne responded so quickly! They were able to turn around the order with only 5 days of notice and totally saved me. The cake got SO many compliments on the day of and was legitimately delicious. Not too sweet, moist (but not wet), with a generous serving of cream and fruit inside. I had leftovers a few days later - still delicious! The team even provided instructions on how to properly cut and serve. Thanks DH!!! Would highly recommend.

My 5 year old daughter picked an inspiration photo of a cake she wanted that was honestly disappointing to me but I didn't want to say no to her so I told her I will send the photo to the cake maker and she will put her creative twist on it. I asked DH Cake to make an elevated version of the cake picture we sent her and she fully delivered. I was blown away when I went to pick it up and my daughter and husband could not stop gushing over the cake when I brought it home. Of course all the guests could not speak enough praise about the beauty and the taste of the delicious cake. DH Cake did an impressive job packaging the cake as well. I had to transport the cake first to my house, then to the party venue and it traveled really well. We will definitely order more cakes for future events. Thank you very much!

I gave Daphne a picture of a pickle cake I liked for a pickled themed birthday for my son and asked for something similar. Daphne said "no problem, we'll make it even better," and did she ever! Cake looked AMAZING! We loved it. My favorite part was the detail that went into the "ends" of the pickle. Such great quality! The taste...perfection as well! Not too sweet, great cookies and cream mousse. We were so happy with the result! It was eaten completely! Fondant wasn't too thick. Layered beautifully (not enough time to take pics of that. Oops) SHE EVEN DID "PICKLE JUICE" spillage with sugar. Amazing. Can't recommend Daphne enough. This was our first custom cake ever and we will definitely be reaching out to Daphne in the future.

My friend recommended this place. I seen from her reviews and pictures they were very talented. I decided to make my best friends 30th birthday a Little more special by getting her a custom cake seeing as we can't do much being on lockdown for now. I was able to discus my ideas and she drew out a few designs that I could choose from. She made it very easy as I was able to do curbside pick up. The cake turned out better then I anticipated it was so beautiful and clean. We did a tuxedo with cookies butter cream filling! We got 2 cakes for my twin girls birthday from DH cakes and we loved both! Our guests raved about not only how beautiful they were but how yummy they were too! And the princesses on top were a real master piece. The attention to detail was very impressive. She even put prints in the "fabric" of their dresses. Also the princess figures were made of white chocolate- so super yummy to eat too! Daphne was a pleasure to work with. We had a very specific vision of what components we wanted for each cake and Daphne worked closely with us through emails and one phone call to make it happen. Working with Daphne was extremely easy. She responded quickly and gave me exactly what I wanted. I submitted some ideas for my son's birthday cake and Daphne offered some suggestions. I had a change of heart about the cake design before I committed and Daphne was extremely accommodating. The cake turned out absolutely beautiful. It is SO hard to find a baker that has both, decorative detailed talent combined with delicious taste - and I found Daphne! From the very start, she is quick and responsive. I was in search of a Barbie cake design and she sent a design that my daughter fell in love with. I ordered 2 birthday cakes from Daphne for my son and sister and asked that the two cakes have a different theme but appear matching. I couldn't be happier with Daphne's work. If you're looking for an over the top cake, DH Cake Studios is the place to order. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to things, and I did a lot of research trying to look for the perfect cake artist for my daughter's first birthday. Not only was the cake designed exactly how I wanted it, it was delicious as well. DH Cake Studio was also very quick to respond to all my questions via email. Daphne was great to work with and super flexible. The design she comes up with is amazing and she works within your budget. Most decorative cake falls short on the taste but her cake is amazing. I recently had a cake made for my girlfriend's 25th birthday and DH cake studios was the first that popped up when I was searching custom cakes. I order this cake for my daughter turning 1 month old through DH cake studio-Daphne. My family and I love the cake, with the cute pig design( chinese animal birth year 2019), and the cake taste so good not too sweet,the buttercream is delicious! We've been ordering custom cakes from Daphne for two years in a row. She's a true master of her craft. Daphne pays attention to the tiniest details and this shows in the showstopper cakes that she makes. We ordered the vanilla sponge cake with strawberry cream filling for the construction site themed cake. It was a massive hit at our party and all our guests loved it. When we saw the cake on the day of Birthday we were blown away by the intricate details in the design. It was by far one of the best cakes we ever saw. We were hoping it will taste good as well, as in the past we found out that cakes that look good don't always taste great. For comparison, my cookies from another vendor were more on theme and everyone loved how those were decorated. That vendor asked me to describe the look and feel plus asked me to send MULTIPLE photos to help create an original look. And yes, this keeps me up at night at 3 am because it bothers me so much. I didn't say anything at the party because there's nothing to be done once it's there, but maybe working with the client more or drafting a mock before executing could help hit the mark closer to the target. I hope this genuinely helps in getting someone the perfect cake for the future. Unfortunately it wasn't mine.

If we order again, we'll skip all decorations and do it ourselves. It's wasn't worth paying $0.75 a topper. For the price of the toppers we could have bought another dozen cupcakes. Great cupcakes but not the best.
