Came here in a rainy day to get out of the house and be active. There is a small lot at this location so parking can be a bit troublesome if it's packed. You have to have some belay you here so be sure to come with a buddy. There is no automatic belay. Also you are required to do the belay test so make sure you brush up before going Shoe and harness rental was easy. They clean all their rentals. The place itself was quite packed. The bouldering section was very lacking. It was also extremely packed so no much bouldering was done. Overall, this gym is great if you want to rock climb with someone belaying your but go somewhere else if you want to Boulder. There was also a lifting section so you could workout too.

I love this rock climbing gym. I think it's a right size for a beginner like me. When I first tried rock climbing, I was nervous and scared. My cousins were encouraging and I managed to get over my fear of falling to my death. LOL. My advice for first timers is give yourself time to learn and have fun doing it. Don't pressure yourself to be this expert climber in a short period of time. I'm still a beginner myself. Take your time to learn how to tie a figure eight and the safety steps in setting up as a climber and belayer. I love that I end up getting my belay card from DRG because it was my first rock climbing gym. Shout out to Tyler for being patient with me during my first belay test at DRG. He said my belaying technique would wear me out fast, so he gave me a few tips to improve. Credit to Dom for also teaching me about the maximum fist length. For some, this may go over your head LOL. Overall, this is a clean gym with good size boulder section, top roping and lead climbing. Also, it has decent size of gym equipment and weights. They also have fitness class. Y'all have to check out their website for more info.

    Policy toward EBT.
    Jack D.

Had a very odd interaction with a staff member. We were told that California EBT cards were not and were never supposed to be accepted for the discounted climbing price across the touchstone gyms, however, every other gym has accepted it and the website itself says that they are accepted. If the policy for the company has changed, I understand the website might not reflect that yet, however, the website does clearly state California EBT is valid for the discounted price so it felt like this gym in particular is unilaterally deciding to not accept them despite what the company website states. I'm more than happy to update this review if contacted. I have tried contacting this gym to get clarification and have not been able to do so. Edit: manager has since reached out to rectify the situation. Great customer service.

I don't have a membership, but I was brought here as a guest! It was my first time legit indoor rock climbing and bouldering. What an experience! The staff is super helpful and have great energy. I let my friend who actually does have a membership take the lead on whatever I had to do (rent shoes, harnesses, etc.) Most folks who frequent Diablo Rock bring their own shoes, chalk, and harnesses. There are also rope stations for you to learn how to properly lapel and/or tie the ropes yourself if you are a climber. I really like how there is so much independence here! The gym has several different areas including weights, top rope, and bouldering. The equipment seems a bit dated, and I question sanitation, but there's quite a lot for strength training. If you've never tried rock climbing before, I highly suggest purchasing a day pass or coming through with someone who has a bit of knowledge on it. It's an amazing workout (I was sore for a week), and you really learn about the proper muscles you should be using to alleviate some of that pain.

Helpful staff, very inclusive to newcomers. Tyler was especially helpful in basic safety and 101's. Overall pleasant experience!

DRG is my favorite TS gym in area. The staff are friendly, gym is clean, routs are set regularly and the community is super friendly.

It never feels generic or rushed everything we do has a purpose. One thing that really stands out is how organized and thoughtful she is. She created a clear, structured day-to-day plan for our sessions and even shared an Excel sheet so I can easily see and track what we're working on. Being able to visualize my progress keeps me motivated and accountable, and it shows how much she genuinely cares about helping me succeed. Her approach is incredible. There's absolutely no pressure or intimidation just steady encouragement, positivity, and motivation. She knows exactly when to push me and when to adjust, which makes every session both productive and enjoyable. We have fun, we laugh, but we also work hard going from lifting heavy to even heavier weights that I never imagined I would be able to do. I feel stronger both physically and mentally. On top of that the studio is not crowded. It's truly one-on-one, and the focus is completely on you. The entire team at Studio Flex is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The environment feels supportive, comfortable, and uplifting, which makes showing up something I genuinely look forward to. I'm so grateful to be training here and would highly recommend Gabrielle and Studio Flex to anyone looking for a supportive, motivating, and results-driven experience.

As a result, I had all but given up trying to reestablish a routine. My back has been an issue for decades and I thought that I'd tried everything - chiropractics, physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, accupressure ... you name it. I'd resolved to just live with the nearly constant discomfort and occasional debilitating spasms. However, Gabriele has changed my perspective by focusing on carefully building core strength while not aggravating other issues. She listened carefully to my problems, asked about my desired outcomes and she designs each workout specifically for my physiology and my state of progress. I can't say enough good things about her adaptive approach and positive energy!

As a member, the gym itself is okay. The space is large, and it has a lot to offer. I continued paying for my membership because I genuinely enjoyed the martial arts classes which, in my opinion, is the entire point of this gym's existence. The machines, however, haven't really changed since they opened. It wasn't until after the 10-year anniversary that they finally brought in some new equipment. Now for the part that's personal: management. I cannot stress this enough my PERSONAL experience with management was awful. I was fired after being late to work because I had just been in a car accident. The operations manager at the time, Hannah Amayo (who has since resigned), made my life miserable. She and Kate Hansen teamed up to fire me, and it absolutely broke me at the time because I truly needed that job after being T-boned on my way home. As for the facility itself: the gym was always dirty, bathrooms were frequently broken (sinks, toilets, blow dryers), and equipment constantly needed repairs that never seemed to happen. Maintenance was almost nonexistent from what I saw. I know management has changed since 2019, but I found this review sitting in my drafts and figured it was finally time to post it. Needless to say, I eventually canceled my membership because why would I pay over $100/month for a gym that isn't properly maintained? Instead of opening new locations, they should at least invest in the ones they already have.

Broke it down, explained it clearly, no games. That's how customer service is supposed to look. Now... let's talk about Kat. Because baby girl, what exactly were you doing? While I'm having a private conversation about my account, here you are, neck craned over like a nosy neighbor in the window, staring at the computer screen like it's Netflix. Newsflash: it's not your business, it's not your account, and it's not your lane. You're not helping, you're not contributing--you're just lurking. Weird. Annoying. Unprofessional. And if you're that bored? Here's a wild idea: instead of playing Inspector Gadget with members' personal info, maybe pick up a rag, put down that iPhone, and start doing the job you're actually paid for. Wipe down some machines. Rack up the stray weights. Make the place look like a gym and not a storage unit. Because right now? That TikTok-scrolling energy is not it. Sale Assets, tighten this up. One employee showed me what good service looks like, and the other showed me exactly what unprofessionalism feels like. I'll let y'all decide which one you want representing your brand.

My main gripes are: -Facilities seem to be down often, taking a good while to be repaired. Whether this be the pool heater, sauna, or steam room. It seems like something is always out of order. -Re-racking weights. This is the worst gym I've belonged to for this specific category. I know it's difficult to get people to put weights away after use, but this gym specifically is completely out of order with this. I'm surprised whenever I approach a machine that does not have plates already on it. Overall a good gym for the price, but quality with facilities and gym ethics could get much better.

Front desk personnel was no help either all they can say is that there is nothing they can do. With the cost of living going up and having to make cutbacks in order to stay on budget I just couldn't do it anymore. I finally decided to cancel my membership after being loyal for so long and join a different gym a little bit further away. I wish that this establishment have the same loyalty to their clients and would do whatever it took to keep long tern memberships alive. To me fitness is a lifestyle and I had planned on doing this until my body can no longer physically do it anymore. It's disheartening to see that this establishment which I thought was all about family in providing a good long term relationship would care a bit more, but I guess all they really want is to up the cost of their fees and don't care if you leave. If you don't mind paying a lot for your membership and don't care about loyalty and want to support an establishment that will never respond to you and show they care then join this gym. But just so you know there are a lot more options in the area for much less with better equipment and people that actually shows you they care.
