I was fairly certain no one would be able to get my car back to a factory finish, but I was definitely mistaken. I had some very out of the norm damage done to my car, so didn't expect quite the results that I got. Diamond was able to fix my car up absolutely perfectly! They were even able to blend the pearl-white paint so well that I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The portion of the car that was repainted is actually better than the rest of the vehicle because I wasn't left with any swirl marks or paint defects. I had one very small problem with the paint which was taken care of in a matter of 3 minutes in the parking lot! I would highly recommend these guys to anyone needing auto body work in the Reno area. If I ever have any need any more auto body repair I will be returning to them. Update: a couple weeks later I had an issue that turned out had nothing to with the work they had done. Despite that, they made it a priority to fix the issue for me! Seriously can't recommend these guys enough. read more

Had a minor crash with a dented fender and scuffed bumper which the insurance company covered for about $1000. I went to Diamond Auto Body for an estimate and was immediately impressed by their attention and care. They informed me that they would completely handle any other issues that were not addressed directly with my insurance company as there would most likely be damage that I could not see. Specifically, their associate Travis pointed out how some of the inner-fender damage was cutting into my front tire causing a gouge down to the threads. I might have kept driving on the tire if he had not pointed out the safety concern. There ended up being quite a bit of ancillary damage that I was unaware of and they did in fact handle with my insurance. The car was repaired flawlessly and ahead of schedule with a few calls, texts and emails along the way to keep me apprised of the status. Nice work Diamond! read more

For starters I'm a 50yr old professional male who is well versed in cars and repairs. My auto body skills are limited to minor repairs but I do know what it takes to repair and roughly what it should cost. I set up an appointment easy enough and upon arrival I didn't have to wait long to be assisted. A young man in his early twenties came out and told us he did all the estimates. He looked at my truck and told me that it would almost be impossible to get the lines right and I would be better off getting a new tailgate. (******* please note that the damage was a two inch circular dent in the middle of the tailgate with No damage to the paint). This kid told me that they could fix it but can guarantee it wouldn't be perfect and that the repair would be obvious. He then said he would go inside get some numbers together and would be right back. We waited for about 30 min and he came back with two numbers. First was a 1600 dollar estimate with a note stating that the repair wouldn't be perfect and the second was a 3800 dollar estimate to replace the entire tailgate. Now these estimates would be numbers you'd give to the insurance agency and replacing is the easier option for them and most profitable. The repair and replaced estimates were outrageous and when I went over my concerns, the actual cost of repair, and my concern of their lack of confidence in their metal shop to make the repair and stand behind the work. The kid ripped the estimates out of my hands and said if you want the work don't right that's what it will cost you. I told I'm I knew for a fact I could get it repaired fit 1/3 of the price he gave me, and stated he was quoting me what they would charge an insurance insurance company. He then said "screw you wand stormed off into the building." At this point I'm pretty pissed off at the lack of professionalism and childish behavior . I followed him int the building and asked the front desk for a manager. He then stormed past the woman working at the desk and started yelling what the fuck do you need a manager for , huh , because your an Asshole??? I then told the woman at the front desk I wanted a manager now, she then said can I ask why ?? I said do you really have to ask why ? The kid doesn't know what he's doing , is unprofessional, and aggressive with a customer. The woman at the desk proceeded to say, well it looks to me line your the one that's aggressive given you followed him back in here. I was soooo puzzled by her response and the kid jet yapping like a little chihuahua in the back ground, so I just left. This was my first stop So the girl at the front desk sent Donny out to estimate my Car. What a disgruntle employee he refused to write an estament because I have insurance. he said I didn't need one. So I left, I thought wow is this how my day is going to go? Fortunately It didn't ,I found some reputable auto body shops that were happy to help and give me an estimates. We bought a brand new XT4 Cadillac SUV Aug. 2020, we tried to purchase a bra from the Cadillac dealer we're we bought our car, but they said they didn't make a bra for our car yet. We tried every aspect to purchase a new bra for the front of our car from other company's with no prevail, we went on every known website from here to Canada and still could not find a bra for the front of our car. Just when we decided to give up, we were given Diamond Auto Body's name, we called and they were nice enough to get us in right away. We had a clear bra put on the front of the car, door handles, mirror's, lights. It was the Owner of the company that did the work on our car. When we went to pick up the car the next day, we both were totally floored how beautiful our car looked and you could not hardly see the bra at all, we had to ask the Owner to show us exactly where the bra started and ended. I found all aspects of Diamond auto body to be very good. Front office staff was always available and helpful. Paul did the appraisal and handled all insurance issues efficiently. The finished job looked like new. The one thing I would recommend is, use the free loaner car offer. Even if you have to wait a little longer to get the loaner car. Diand autobody was recommended by my AAA auto insurance. Upon arriving, I was greeted and envited inside by a staff member. Good thing too because it was freezing outside. I was the first customer of the day at 06:30. There was fresh hot coffee and warm hospitality offered in the lobby. They quickly recieved my car for repairs of dents and scratches. I already arranged for a rental through my insurance company but, they offer loaners to their clients who's vehicle is being serviced by them as well if not already offered through insurance. I was given a fair time estimate while on site. I recieved a follow up call a day later after their thorough inspection to advise me of additional repairs needed to complete the requested repairs I required. Clearly this business is more than a step above their local competitors as noted by their excellent customer service. I will recommend this facility for all body repairs of all makes and models. My 2017 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro was hit in a Walmart parking lot. With less than 9,000 miles on it, the Right Rear Door was caved in and the Rear Bumper Skin was torn-off and crumpled, I was really bummed. I had a past experience with Concours Body Shop that was pretty good, I knew the Owner, Gil. Turns out Gil sold the Operation, that didn't set well with me, things change when ownership changes. I hear the Ads for Jackson & Farmer on the Radio all the time, I like their message, I called and spoke with Jim Jackson the Owner, the conversation went well. Not feeling convinced or "in the know" as to where to take my Beauty, I googled around for reviews. Diamond Auto Body kept coming up strong. I called. Stephanie answered the phone, we got into a good conversation and pleasantly, she got right "down-to-business". Among her questions was, "Who is your vehicle Insured with?" Apparently, it makes a difference. She began to educate me about how most Insurance Companies mandate that Body Shops obtain Used and non-OEM parts for repairs and replacements. Stephanie also had me speak with Mike the Operations Manager. Mike explained to me that, for example, the Rear Bumper Skin has a multitude of attachment clips and loops that are molded monolithically with the skin and that the used, refurbished Bumper Skins have the sheared off clips and loops glued back into place. He explained that the glued in place clips and loops are not as strong as those on the monolithically molded new OEM Bumper Skins and that they are often misaligned. I thought about this. A) they are glued in place, B) they may be misaligned so not only are they weaker, the misalignment not only contributes to a less than smooth seam/fit, the misalignment puts significantly more stress on the glued clips and loops which are already weaker. The finished job may look good when you pick the vehicle up but over time, road vibration, expansion/contraction from temperature swings, sitting in the sun, freezing in the cold, those glued-on clips and loops give way and what started out looking good begins to deteriorate. Mike further explained to me that my Insurance Company, State Farm, not only mandates the use of used parts, in my case the Bumper Skin and Right Rear Door Skin, they can be somewhat (my word) "stingy" with regard to any supplemental needed parts and procedures that evidence themselves as necessary after the initial "estimate of repairs". He suggested that before we begin the process of repairing my vehicle that I speak with my Insurance Agent and address the items that Diamond had experienced as catch points after-the-fact on their recent experiences with State Farm. I did so and everything worked out, BTW, my State Farm Agent is Billy Codman, he was very good to work with. Mike also explained to me that I could opt to pay the cost-difference in Used vs. New parts and that would be outside, above and beyond my $500.00 deductible. I asked him how much money that might amount to, he said, "not much, maybe $40.00 to $50.00 per part", I had two parts in play, that meant $80.00 - $100.00 above and beyond my $500.00 deductible. I decided to go forward with Diamond. It turned out that Stephanie lives about 5 miles from me and offered to pick my vehicle up at my house and drive it in and catch a ride home after work with a co-worker. They had my vehicle for a little over a week, when it was done Stephanie picked me up in the morning on her way to work so I could retrieve my vehicle easily, without having to arrange a ride with someone else. My TRD Pro 4Runner looked great! They washed the vehicle inside and out, they also vacuumed the interior. Then the Bill- $520.00. My $500.00 deductible + $20.00 upcharge for 100% new OEM Door & Rear Bumper skins. I cannot be happier with the experience, short of the Hit & Run happening in the first place. I would not expend the time to write this review if I did not feel that Diamond Auto Body earned it; thank you Stephanie and Mike. read more

I am extremely glad I followed that mechanic's recommendation. From the beginning to the end, Mike made everything very transparent regarding the work performed on my car and kept me in the loop the whole time. I went into Diamond auto body today to get an appraisal for body work resulting from a recent auto accident. The front desk staff was incredibly unhelpful and rude. I was told due to there being two insurance companies involved because of the accident they would be unable to provide me with any sort of estimate on cost for services. When I then inquired what the price would be for the repairs if I were to pay from my own pocket and not via insurance they still refused to provide me with any sort of information. I left frustrated with no information at all and later contacted my insurance agent who informed me many of their clients have had the same experience with this business. I am uncertain how a repair shop who refused to provide potential clients with prices for their work is able to remain in business but I for one will be taking mine elsewhere. read more

I am so incredibly satisfied with this shop. I had been dealing with a major headache with an insurance company after being rear ended and ending up with bad damage to my exhaust. I had never been in a situation where insurance couldn't help me, and I felt very lost. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, he helped me work out a solution that solved all of my problems. Stephanie and Amy were both very helpful and responsive via phone, which was so refreshing after all of the issues I had been dealing with from the insurance company. Mike was also great about leaving me voicemails/calling and emailing updating me on my car's status. Upon picking up my car, every single person at the shop was friendly, fast and knowledgeable. Nielsen was so kind, he went outside with us and removed some stickers off of my car before we left (I had some old stickers and I haven't been able to get them off) but Nielsen didn't hesitate to run and grab the supplies to remove them for me. That was the icing on the cake for us, every single person at this shop is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs repairs or other work done for their vehicles! Beware. I do not recommend Diamond Auto Body. As far as I know the repairs they did are fine, but they attempted to make me pay for work that neither I nor the insurance company authorized them to do and they held my vehicle as leverage. There are lots of positive reviews on this site which I have no reason to doubt, but I had a negative experience that I could see happening again to me and possibly to you. The policy they have for performing insurance work may leave you footing the bill: Diamond gets approval for the estimated repairs from the insurance company. Then they begin performing the work. If they believe additonal work should be done they do that too even without approval. After the job is completed they ask the insurance company for approval and payment for the unauthorized work. That is when the problem arises for me and you. If the insurance company rejects the claim, Diamond charges the vehicle owner for any and all unauthorized repairs and holds the vehicle until paid. Our Jeep was damaged by a 3rd party who admitted fault and arranged for their insurance company to pay for damages. Farmers Insurance approved an estimate of about $7,000 worth of damages to the drivers side wheel, fender and axle. As Diamond's subcontractor was replacing the axle, Diamond and the sub decided additional work needed to be done and that it was related to the accident, but they did not ask for approval from Farmer's or from me. They said approval "would take too long with the vehicle on the rack" and insurance companies typically pay in this situation. They did the work, expecting Farmer's to approve it. Farmer's did not believe it was caused by the accident and rejected the claim. Then Diamond said if Farmer's won't pay I would have to pay and I would not get my vehicle back until I did. We argued for a week while my Jeep sat on their lot ready. (Earlier in the process, Diamond and Farmer's were disputing $2,000 worth of work that Diamond said I would have to pay if Farmer's did not). Finally, Farmer's paid the remaining balance. Only then did Diamond give me my Jeep back. If Farmer's had not paid, I would have been on the hook for work I did not authorize or even know was going to be done. Beware. read more

I took my truck to be repaired at Diamond Auto Body, what a disappointment. The work that Carl Roe promised would be done was never completed and the work completed was of very poor quality. They charge the maximum and deliver the minimum. Clearly they focused on the cash and not the quality, time of completion or doing what they promised. I had these guys do some bumper work on my truck a few months ago, and the whole experience was excellent. (Note that this wasn't an insurance job, in case that matters.) I dropped by, showed them what I wanted done, and they gave me a good ballpark estimate on the spot. Even better, I had to leave for a business trip in a few days, and they suggested that I drop the truck off while I was on my way out of town. They drove me to the airport, did the work on my truck while I was out of town, and had it waiting for me in their parking lot after hours when I returned. The work turned out great, and the final price was a hair below their initial estimate, even after I asked them to do some additional work I originally forgot to mention. I hope I don't have to go back to them in the future, but if I do ever need some more body work they'll get my business again. read more

Once again we have nothing but great things to say about Diamond Auto Body in Reno and their friendly/professional staff, can-do attitude, and quality work! Our family has had several cars repaired at Diamond Auto Body following accidents and fender-benders - all with great results! However our recent visit was not due to an accident - it was to protect our new 2020 Ford F350 truck by having a clear bra (protective film) installed on the front end. The color of our new Ford truck is "Star White" and we were concerned about tar, rocks, sand, etc. ruining the paint job. Installation of these clear bras requires very detailed and precise work. I had a problem with bench seat in my van. It had come off the rail. I stopped at Diamond Auto Body and asked if they could put it back in place for me. I offered to pay a fee. A nice gentlemen came out and fixed the seat. Then I asked him if I could bring my van in to have an annoying rattle fixed. He check out the sliding door and found the lining loose. Fixed that for me and it doesn't rattle anymore!! I asked him if I could pay for his work; and he said there was no charge! There aren't many businesses that go out of their way to help without a charge. I should have written this a month or so ago, but now is better than not at all. Just got my car back from them after it was hit and run while I was in bed (yup, wonderful surprise when I was leaving for work). Donnie helped her and he did a really good job handling my mom, she can be a handful and she is so picky. (I wouldn't want to deal with my mom, but he handled her quite well. Very patient with her.) Repairs seem fine. My only gripe is that they advertise a free loaner car but couldn't provide one, even a week later when the parts came in. When I questioned them about advertising a free loaner, but not having one available, the gentleman got testy, he didn't think their advertising obligated them to actually honor it . If like me, you choose to take your car in for an estimate based on the offer of a free loaner I would advise you to call ahead and make sure they will actually have a loaner available for you. read more

I was hit by a semi truck while trying to drive to work on a snowy day in Truckee, CA. I have AAA insurance and reported the accident to my insurance company who recommended a few of their preferred companies in Reno. I drove the 1 hour, one way drive to Diamond Auto Body for an estimate on my truck. Mike was the estimator that looked at my damage. While he was looking at my truck which had serious damage to the passenger side truck bed, bumper and also the drivers side front fender, I pointed out the tail gate that was damaged during the accident. Mike told me that "there was no way the tailgate was damaged in this accident", regardless of his opinion, the damage was caused by the tail light lens pushing on the tail gate when I was hit. I asked that the tail gate be repaired several times to not only Mike, but other staff at the facility. After waiting a month to get my truck in for repair, I finally got in to get my truck fixed. I got the call claiming that my truck was repaired and it was ready for me to pick it up. When I drove the hour to their shop I was not happy that the tail gate and front head light was not repaired!! Mike tried to explain to me why, in his opinion these items were not caused by the accident? WTF they obviously were and now I have to get those items repaired out of my own pocket at the cost of over $1000. Mike is an extremely arrogant bastard, who could not give a damn about his custormers. They are a "preferred AAA body shop" however they are incompetent and I will never use them again. read more
