It seems this year is a time of heavy rodent activity here in Moraga. We found our home being overrun with brown rats and Norwegian rats. When they came out and looked under the house there wasn't a dead rat.It was a broken water pipe. We had rats invade our garage for dog food. They chewed through a rodent proof hard plastic container and had a party! They were making themselves at home in our crawl space. Yikes! We called three places and were so impressed with Diamond Rodent Proofing. Andrew came out and suggested a plan. They would seal off the house and then go under the house to vacuum and sanitize the space and then set traps. They did that and while they were down there, dressed in their alien-like suits, they discovered two tunnels that had been dug from the front to gain entry to the crawl space. They cemented the tunnels and also other entry points. They set traps and came back two times before planting free food to see if there were any rats still present. My wife and I live in Danville, CA and own a townhouse in a HOA. Our townhome is attached to two others, one on each side. Our foundations are elevated, and the three share the same "under the house space". So if one of us has a rodent problem, the other two do as well, as the rodents have access to each of our homes through the "crawl space". We have had some rodent problems in the past, but not major. Recently one of the attached townhomes had serious rodent problems, including skunk and rats and as a result, all three of us. Our neighbor contacted Diamond Rodent Proofing for a proposal. I meet Andrew the owner, and after speaking with him, and having him outline how he approaches the "proofing" we contracted with him, as did my two neighbors. His crew was professional and very "sensitive" to our respective living spaces. They covered the floors with plastic and removed debris from our crawl space and set traps. This review is way overdue. I had heard something scurrying around in my attic space last November and called around for pest service. I had used Clarks pest control at my previous residence and wasn't happy so wanted to find another service. I am so lucky to have found Diamond Rodent Proofing! Not only is Andrew very thorough in searching around the property but he explains EVERYTHING so that I know what is being done. He sealed up all areas (I had damaged screens and uneven opening under the garage which he did an excellent job in leveling out the corners with cement) and set up traps up in the attic. He advised that he would be back in a few days or as soon as I didn't hear anymore activity. I notified him a couple of days later and he was over within that afternoon to retrieve the trap. It was a success (although I didn't want to see it!!). It's been a year now and I recently had some issues again but it was with the a/c unit having an exposed area against the house. The team is awesome starting from HR person Ashley who schedules the visits.She is very nice and always prompt on scheduling visits.The main guy Andrew came for initial visit and he is very honest.
