I rarely write reviews, but Andrew and his team did such a great job I wanted to thank them and recommend their services. Our rats were super persistent and would find new ways to get in a few times. Don't misunderstand, Andrew and his crew sealed up everything, everything they could see, very well in the first appointment. The rats chewed holes in our deck to squeeze through and get back under the house! Andrew and his crew came back and actually took up a portion of the deck to access the little places the rats were getting in, sealed up the new openings and put the deck back together Just as it was. I recently had mice in a shed, and they returned my call the same day (Fri), and service came out (Tues) right after the Memorial Day Holiday. Can't be faster than that!! I'll comment on a challenge I had in 2017 after the initial service re: mice in my house. A very persistant squirrel (aren't they all?) wanted to nest in an area under the eves of the house and between the patio porch. The came did the work to make sure the babies were removed my the mother, then screened in the area. As they have several litters, she was so persistant and then worked to eat the beams away more to open a space to come into the same area. They again made sure the babies were removed by the mother, and then put LOTS of the quick dry cement around the wood area and redid the screen that she'd pushed out. This took numerous visits to accomplish this (waiting for babies being moved out, etc) and was a tricky place so each time wasn't a 'quick' fix. Always ready and willing to do the necessary work. The situation really stressed me out especially to deal with this during the holidays. Knowing this was something I should address immediately, I began reaching out to Yelp's top three rated Rodent Proofing companies in the East Bay to schedule a free inspection. The first company quoted an outrageous minimum over phone and were also two weeks out for an inspection. The second company came out and gave me a quote in less than 10 minutes. To my disappointment I even had to convince their technician to inspect my attic. Then there was Diamond Rodent Proofing. First of all, I was able to schedule a same week appointment with Ashley who is very courteous and customer focused. She promptly returns phone calls and I can even schedule future appointments the modern way (via text messages). Chris was the technician scheduled to come out and discuss my rodent problem with me. He conducted a thorough inspection of the interior and exterior of my home, found the culprit of my problem, explained in detail how they would address my issues, answered all of my many questions, and provided a written quote. I was really impressed by Chris's technical competence. Choosing Diamond Rodent Proofing was an easy decision because of my experience with Chris. Plus when I checked their Yelp history, I noticed that Diamond Rodent Proofing had positive reviews dating all the way back to when the company was launched. Their competitors actually had a few negative reviews each but were too old to be counted against them in their rating. On the day of the job, Chris came back out and was quickly at work. He started by laying out plastic coverings to make certain everything in our closet (leading into the attic) would not collect any inadvertent debris. Chris then carefully began to clean and sanitize the attic. He spent the rest of the time proofing the attic and exterior of my home. Chris even addressed multiple potential entry points near my garage and side yard. He demonstrated great attention to detail. Chris also verified the plumbing pipes and terra cotta drains on the roof and exterior walls had no issues. Once the work was completed, Chris allowed me to inspect everything so I was assured the project was completed to my satisfaction. Nick was the technician that came out to check on the traps each week. Not only was he patient, he has great communication skills. Nick explained that catching the actual rodent(s) may take up to a month after the proofing is completed because the rodent can continue living off of their food supply before they resort to the traps. On the third trip out their traps caught our alpha rat! Nick then performed another round of cleaning and sanitizing in my attic. Our house is on Moraga road and hard to find, so I gave specific details how to find it. We have a traffic sign right at our driveway which is easy to spot. It is BRIGHT YELLOW! Ashley returned the call and said that Andrew couldn't find our address and that he left in frustration. She was also agitated at the fact that they could not find our house. Be aware of this company. We hired Diamond Rodent Proofing to take care the rats issues we had nearly 2 years ago. They were able to seal the entries and eliminate the rats in a few weeks. Happy with the result, we purchased an extended year warranty on top of their one year warranty. Three months before the expiration of 2nd year warranty, we started to have rodent issue again. This time, they were far less diligent. The technicians came out, sealed a few holes in an entirely sloppy and unprofessional manner, and set a few traps in the attic. They did return to check the traps, but most of the time the traps were empty while the rats remained active at night running in between floors and walls. When I contacted the office, Ashley's response was that since the warranty was expiring, there was nothing else they could do. This company does not take pride in honoring their warranty. Be aware. While other companies could come out to do an estimate in a week or so, Andrew was out that day! Chris did a thorough inspection and sealed up any problem areas two days later. In the winter we had heard some scratching around in the walls so we contacted our property management company who sent out Clark who pointed out some possible entry points for the mice. The property management company had the handyman supposedly seal up those holes and after catching a few mice with some store bought traps we thought our problem was solved. We've been in our house a little over 2 years, never saw a rat until last month when we found a dead one in the back yard (property backs up to open space).
