When we walked into Diamonds Direct we were greeted by ART DRAB, he went above and beyond for my boyfriend and I. He was very patient and paid attention to what I liked and didn't like. We went around the store and tried on dozens of rings (they have a never ending selection) and we finally came across a setting that I fell in love with. After selecting the setting, we were to pick out a center diamond. After telling him our wants, needs, and budget he overnight shipped some loose diamonds just for us to look at the next day. When we got to the store to look at the diamonds I couldn't believe that we could afford it! Not only were they BIGGER than I thought we could afford, they were even UNDER budget. The setting, diamond, and tax added up to less then our max budget. Art went above and beyond in several ways for us. He made us feel welcomed, special, and like family. He explains his vast knowledge of diamonds, settings, and the industry in general in simple terms and is transparent about pricing by breaking down how much everything costs and why. I decided to go entirely custom to get exactly what I wanted, and he painstakingly and patiently guided me through every step without trying to upsell or pressure us. He ensured we would get the most bang for our buck while staying in budget. The man deserves a medal for the amount of time he spent with me trying on every ring in the place! He even went over the order forms he sent to the designers so I knew what he specified and was reassured that as many of my current diamonds would be utilized to keep costs down. Be Forewarned!!! I am not usually a difficult person to please, but if you lie to me all bets are off. I was specifically told by my salesman, Seth, if I was to finance my fiancee's engagement ring with them I would have no interest if paid in full within a year. I knew it would not be an issue to pay it off in time, however after only one month, I was charged $50.00 in interest. I have already paid over $900.00 towards the first months payment, but at this rate of interest I will never pay down the balance! Please shop elsewhere... these people are crooks!!! Great location, customer service is fantastic as other reviewers have stated! From the moment you walk into the door you are greeted by one of their ring specialists. I was greeted by Dominica, she was fantastic! She showed us a wide array of rings they had and even offered a military discount. She was not pushy at all as sometimes other ring stores make you feel when looking for a ring. She offered her honest opinion and was very sweet. They have a wide array of rings for men, which is the reason why I came to this location to shop for a male engagement ring. I purchased a beautiful male ring and got a great discount since my husband is military. Everyone in the store was very nice and helpful. When returning to size the ring for my husband, we were offered wine, water or coffee for waiting. The only reason I am giving this location four stars is because I was unaware you had to wait 3-4 weeks to have a ring resized. Which is what happened in my experience, the ring has to be ordered the correct size. I guess I was spoiled from other ring stores, of having the ring sized within the same day. We happened into Diamonds Direct back in February after hearing their advertisements on the radio to look into purchasing my fiance's wedding band. We were pleasantly surprised by their selection of men's rings and the ease of purchasing jewelry. There were not any "SALE" prices flashed around and the quality of their jewelry was superior. Previously, I have purchased jewelry at Americus Diamond, and I found the products and pricing similar at Diamonds Direct. At Diamonds Direct, however, I had the option of financing with them - a huge plus my sales associate was able to help me with. We were helped by Art Drab, who was very professional and personable. He immediately impressed us when he was able to (correctly) identify my fiancé's ring size just by looking at his fingers! Previously having been involved in the service industry myself, I can't stand when salespeople use typical sales tactics ("buy now for our 5% off weekend sale, sign here!") and are obviously working on commission. No one I went to would actually listen to what I wanted but instead just tried to upsale me and convince me I need to get my fiancée a ring other than what I wanted. Now contrast that to Diamonds Direct; first off disregarding the salespeople, the sheer amount of selections for both diamonds and bands were WAY more than anything I have seen in one place. Trust me you will find multiple choices of the kind of ring you are looking for. All of it is so neatly organized and customizable. Secondly, the salespeople are what I truly appreciated most. Theresa spent the first 15 mins of our one-on-one meeting just educating me on how diamonds are cut, and what matters when it comes to size, color, and clarity. They showed us many more options than the chain stores and their offerings compared to the other local specialist, however their customer service was second to none! They allowed us to view various cuts and diamonds outside in the natural light to see how it would REALLY look Day to day and not under the stores artificial lighting. During that time we decided to upgrade the center stone and they transferred the hold to the new stone which was larger, and had better qualities than the previous selection we made. The most poor customer service I have ever experienced in an establishment, especially one with such a high retail value, and to top it all this was our first experience. We were greeted by a pleasant woman and told we would be on a list to see a salesperson shortly, 30 minutes later...nothing. My husband asked the woman an eta and she said "you guys are next." Another 45 minutes pass and we see 2 other people getting served immediately from the door. Finally after over an hour of waiting we decide to leave. Confronted at the door by a woman with the same tired line of "you guys are next," we proceeded to leave, but not without telling her our concerns of waiting and others being seen before us. Honest opinion, it seems you have a biased system to only serve a certain type of customer. We came in ready to purchase today. Not only did you lose our business, but I intend to spread the word to any future customers as well. You cannot expect customers to invest that kind of money , to be thrown cheap mimosas and beer (which also, is rather inappropriate to serve in an establishment with unruly children running around) and expect paying customers to endure poor service. The first thing he did was take me through a booklet, educating me on the company's philosophy (cutting out the middle man to give you the best price), why certain diamonds cost what they do, and what to look for in each ring. He explained the different cuts of diamond, the color scale, the visibility rating, and a few other characteristics that are to be considered when looking at the price of a ring and why it costs what it does. After being "educated" on all the different things to consider when looking at diamonds, he took me through the selection process after he knew what cut I was looking for and what price range I was trying to stay within. He was patient and considerate in helping me find "THE" ring. After making my pick, he walked me through the financing which I felt comfortable with after he explained all the different options (actually breaking out a calculator and comparing every option).
