To my surprise I've never reviewed this place. I love this place for a sandwich. Definitely in my top ten. You can't beat actually fresh ingredients, quick service, and consistent quality. They have several different size sandwiches to choose from, I usually get a medium wheat. You can pick a sandwich from their own list, or create your own unique sandwich. I prefer 'the cowboy'. The numerous booths are usually clean and available. I occasionally get tempted into getting a cookie with my sandwich but, I usually cave. Don't even look at them if you don't have self control. Probably if I had grown up in Pittsburgh or somewhere normal that had decent subs I wouldn't be so excited about Dibella's. But I grew up in the D.C. area where good subs are hard/impossible to find. So I was incredibly happy to stumble upon Dibella's on my Yelp app. I had driven up to Cranberry to get a grip, to remember what suburbs looked like and to ensure myself that they were actually there. Not that I want to live in one, I just want to know I can drive out and visit on occasion. Anyway charged in starving and downed some kind of Italian sub, which was amaaaazingly delicious, except for the sweet peppers. Mercifully I had asked for them to be on the side. There they stayed as they were completely tasteless! Bleh! Found the service to be a little creepy and wasn't super excited about the design of the interior - only three tables near windows, the rest is a dark cave. But if I lived or worked in Cranberry I would hit that place up every week or so for lunch. Luckily I see they have two branches closer in to town. I love this place. If I'm hungry for a sub this is the place I crave. They have fast service and make their bread fresh. This is not a subway type of bread that disintegrates after a few hours. Their bread is heavy and I am especially fond of their "everything" bread. The saltiness is perfect. They give you a generous portion of meat and you will not go hungry after a small or medium. My wife and I generally split a large which is a great value. I have had their cookies and though they are not my favorite they do the trick when wanting to satisfy your sweet tooth. Typically I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants or sandwich shops. Dibella's has truly made an effort to stand out from the rest and for me this is almost a 5 star review. They have recreated mix of modern and classic diner sub feel. It's always been packed for the lunch rush every time I've been here with coworkers. The bread is fresh and fantastic, and each sandwich is packed with meats and veggies. I highly recommend getting the godfather and using oil as a condiment. Great place to go for lunch and on occasion they offer coupons in the paper. The only downside I see is that you can't come here with more than 4 people or else you're sitting at separate tables. Subs are huge and a small is plenty for lunch, medium if you are ambitious. read more

Excellent subs. One of the two best in Pittsburgh. The bread and cheese fit the steak they use perfectly. Reminds of a fantastic subs place at Penn State called CC Peppers for all of the Psu Happy Valley grads out there. They are not try cheapest Suns in the city but if you have an average appetite, you can share a sandwich with someone (they're cut in half regardless ) and not be hungry afterwards (probably more likely to work out or run later on as well) ;-). Wow. This place is great! First of all, the food is by far the best Submarines I've had in a long long time. Completely scrumptious from first to last bite. And filling too! They also have a great variety of subs on a variety of breads and a variety of toppings. Lots and lots to choose from making it hard to get "tired" of the place. The place is clean and has an awesome, classy, 1940's-50's feel without being obnoxious that goes with their old-fashioned theme. It was my first time eating there and they were very happy to help me understand how to order and even made some helpful suggestions. Mind you, they were in the middle of their lunch hour at the time. That said a lot to me. Pricing can't be beat for what you get. Bottomline, within a few bites of my sub, I had found my favorite place to go when I crave a cheap and yummy lunch or light dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Fantastic subs! Bread is always fresh and the meats are delicious. After eating there a few times, noticed signs for their reward program. Once you sign up you are eligible for something free. Took a late lunch one day to get my free sub and a customer directly in front of me was placing a very large order. I had only been standing in line for about a minute and a worker called be over to place my order since he noticed the other customer ordering a ton of subs. He apologized to me for my wait, but in reality I was not in line long and was the only other customer waiting in line. I really like the professionalism and treating customers with care. Since the beginning of COVID-19, we have purchased take out on a few occasions from DiBella's. They had been running specials when ordering through their app and since my husband loves their subs, we have been back several times. Online ordering was very simple - you choose what kind of specialty sandwich you want, or choose to build your own. Once you decide, you get to choose your toppings - vegetables, sauces, oils, cheeses. You really can choose as many as you would like. I often stick with ham and turkey with provolone, a decent amount of grilled/roasted veggies, and one sauce with their oil dressing on the side. You can opt for the sandwich to be toasted or a cold cut- I often do toasted. They have a few bread options as well and the last one I choose was the everything option. I think their subs are decent I am just not head over heals for them. The bread ratio is too large for the amount of meat/cheese you get. If you order oil on the sandwich it is often slathered on, making the bread soggy oftentimes by the time we arrive home. The ingredients are always fresh and the bread is always nice and airy. It is a solid sub and being that they have so many varieties and size options, anyone can find something they like. I am sure we will make another stop in the near future. read more
