Best sub shop that I have been to! Highly recommend The Godfather. Food is fresh and some of the dressings are unique/homemade.

If you like good bread (and only if you like good bread) buy a sub here. I bought *SIX* subs in a recent visit to Pittsburgh (stayed in Mars, PA) for a family visit. Of the six, five had SO LITTLE meat on them, that when you opened them, I had to actually turn over the lettuce and tomato to find it. My wife at first thought "they just piled the meat on the other side." BUT.... when I looked, there just was not meat. That's on five of the six subs. The bread was great - really good - but the subs were overpriced and not worth it in the least. If you like bread (and no meat - so little that you have to look for it and still not find it), then DiBella's is for you. Otherwise, I recommend Firehouse or Jersey Mikes. Pass this place by - NOT WORHT IT IN THE LEAST. read more

Never been to DiBella's before but my adult stepson wanted it on his birthday. I ordered online, followed the instructions on their app and the order was ready as I walked in the door. I was greeted by a friendly employee who showed me where to pick it up and away I went. Order was somewhat large but everything was prepared exactly as requested--sadly, I've been burned before at other places but not at DiBella's. BTW, food was delicious! read more

My wife grew up with this chain in NY and told em it was decent and better than Subwat. It was ok and definitely a step above Subway (nothing against Subway). That said it was still only an okay sandwich and nothing great. I think my issue is the flavor of their bread. read more

For what you get, I feel like this place is overpriced. I had The Godfather- had a little too much meat than what I prefer but it was ok. The buffalo chicken sub isn't that good. The chicken is very much so what you would expect from subway. read more

Our uncle passed away and I contacted DiBella's so that they could deliver lunch for my family. Amy contacted me today after the delivery was made to let me know everything was delivered as ordered. We got two sandwich rings at the office. The presentation was nice. The sandwiches are pretty good. The meat's tasty. The bread's firm...almost a preztel like texture. My only complaint is the turkey is subpar. All of the other meat was great. Also, they don't have wheat bread. Tasty sandwiches. read more

I waited there for 40 minutes while the workers behind the counter were talking about how they were driving drunk last weekend and not doing anything to make the subs that I ordered. Review #98. My boss ordered Dibella's Subs today for work. I've been itching to try Dibella's for a while, and today's lunch definitely gave me reason to visit. I can't speak from a cleanliness, cost, or promptness standpoint, but everything was pretty good. We had a platter of assorted sandwiches and a box of cookies. The sandwich I had was turkey, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a pretzel bun. It was pretty good; could have used more lettuce or something though, considering the sheer volume of bread given. And the cookies are OUT OF THIS WORLD! How do I know that? I had five... EDIT: Those cookies are 440 calories each! read more

A decent choice for subs. I wasn't blown away, but this is a solid choice if you are in the mood for a sub and don't want to go down the Subway or Quizno's route. This is more of hearty, deli-style sub. They didn't hold back on the meat or cheese portions, which was nice. read more

They seem to be getting quicker with their service. They tend to get very busy at noon due to the Westinghouse crowd and other surrounding businesses. If you can push back your lunch a little later, you may thank yourself. The cheese steak is one of the best I've found in the Cranberry area, which means I can subdue my Uncle Sams cravings (occasionally.) Still no substitute for the sweet potato fries. I really enjoy their bread - especially the everything bread. The medium size sub is definitely filling enough or one person and can be shared if you want a lighter lunch. Thesis Pittsburgh, for cripes sake! This spot makes the best subs in the Burgh! Every one is custom made, as you want it. Many varieties, and the sub rolls are great! No...nothing like Subway! Pittsburgh has many great subs-and this chain is the best! While they are a chain, from Rochester,NY. Half subs are huge...I have one half for lunch, the other for dinner! First time ever eating here. I was very impressed. I tried the Italian sandwich. Lots of meat and the flavor with the house oil blend was so good! The bread was unique but also very soft and delicious. For a sandwich the bread is a big deal for me. I was the only one in line and my sandwich took 10 minutes by the time it was done. You don't stand and watch them make it like a typical sub sandwich joint so I'm not sure the process but don't plan on getting in and out super fast or anythin. I absolutely love DiBella's. The staff, the service, the setting, and the subs are all great. Anytime I am in the area, I at least stop for the chocolate chip cookies. I eat here virtually every time I'm in town. Bread is fresh with a crunchy crust (I especially recommend the multigrain, even though I'm no healthy eater). A "small" sandwich is a satisfying meal. Lots of meat that's fresh and tender, and you don't need to bury it in veggies (as you do at Subway or Jimmy John's). And no visit is complete without their fresh chocolate chip cookies - I always bring home several. Delightful old-school background music, clean and spacious bathrooms, and nice seating. read more

I used to enjoy their sandwiches in the past so after moving back to the area, I decided to grab a sub on my way home from work. The employee making it was extremely distracted and rude. Of course the sandwich was made incorrectly (missing meat and wrong condiments), which I only realized after going home. I chalked it up to being an off day for her so my mother and I decided to grab a sandwich for dinner tonight. The same employee was rude to us again and when asked to add two types of dressing she rolled her eyes and only added the one. However, when we got home and unwrapped the sandwich to add mayonnaise a huge black fly flew out from it. My mother and I were shocked. How can someone be so negligent as to wrap a LIVE fly in a sandwich? We took the sandwich back and quietly asked the cashier for a refund (we didn't want to alert the other customers in line) and she screamed back to her manager telling everyone what happened. The real kicker was that the girl that made the sandwich accused of us wanting a free meal. They refunded the sandwich, but I'm disgusted with how we were treated and will never return here again. read more

The best subs in North Hills by far. I am downgrading by 1 as it can be tough to find parking at lunch and getting through Chick-Fil-A traffic to get there. They give you a great selection of choices of meat, cheese bread and toppings. You can get any sub hot or cold. Like most places now drinks and sides run on the pricey side, but the sub is enough to fill you up. Tonight I had the roast beef on plain bun with provolone cheese and standard toppings. Delicious as always. I have been here at least 30 times and have never had a bad sub. read more

This was my first experience at Dibella's in Cranberry and the review is based on the Veggie Sub I got during my visit. I was with my Boyfriend who got the Chicken Philly Sub (which he loved) but my order left a lot to be desired. We've never been to Dibellas before, this was our first time and it was a bit confusing. Luckily the man who waited on us was very understanding and explained everything to us though he did so rather quickly. They have menu signs but instead of actually listing ingredients on the signs, they just say "Assorted", which begs me to question why bother having a sign at all? Example, their Veggie Stub is on the menu sign and underneath it it says "Assorted Veggies", that doesn't help me at all, and instead makes me take longer ordering because now I have to ask what comes on the sandwich. I ordered the Veggie Sub, hot, with American Cheese. When I got my sub it was lukewarm, no cheese at all. I didn't speak up for two reasons 1. it took a really long time to get our food, I did not want to wait any longer to eat 2. I already took a bite or two before discovering there was no cheese, what would they have done? Put my eaten sub back on the grill to melt the cheese? I should've said something but I didn't so yes, that's on me. But the sub wasn't all that good, while cheese would've made it better, I still would've rated my experience two stars. The choice of vegetables was standard, though they were bland and mediocre, they don't provide salt and pepper on the tables which could've helped. I got my sub with the standard white bread which was soft and fresh baked but it too was bland. If you're a vegetarian who does not eat fish (they have a Tuna Sub available) I'd pass up Dibella's. read more
