Portion sizes? Adorable! They must've switched to the "Toddler Menu" when I wasn't looking. And the crew my god, the crew. Every single employee behind the counter was an imported worker, clearly flown in on the "We Refuse to Pay Americans" visa program. Not one local soul in sight! They were polite in that dead-eyed, soul-crushed way you get when your paycheck wouldn't cover a Happy Meal. Orders wrong? Naturally. Enthusiasm? Zero. It's like they hired a call center to assemble subs. Pro tip: if your wages are so insulting that nobody in a 50-mile radius will take the job, maybe, just maybe, pay people enough to live. DO NOT GO TO THE ROBINSON LOCATION AFTER 7:00. The store closes at 9:00 PM. We drove there and arrived at 7:30 to sit down & have a sub. When we placed our orders, the cashier told us that the orders were takeout only. I thought that was odd since they were fully staffed and they don't close for another hour and a half. So, instead of ordering the meals with drinks, etc, we just ordered 2 subs to go. I asked the cashier what the reason was for take out only & his response was that they already mopped the floors because they want to get out early. As we waited for our subs to be made, we watched 4 different groups of people come in to the restaurant, go to place their orders, then walk out once the cashier told them that it was takeout only. Then, there was a fifth group that came in & a different guy (maybe Chris - hard to tell because the name tag was on the back of his hat) possibly a shift manager, went to the counter & told the customers that they are doing online orders only. I looked at him with a confused look on my face & he replied that the store can't afford to pay people to stay and work (even though there were at least 4-5 employees there at the time). They locked the door as we exited the restaurant & before we even pulled out of the lot, there were 2 more customers that tried to enter but were locked out. They seemed very confused & were looking at the business hours posted on the door & proceeded to look something up on their phones (which I assume was the business hours). They were looking inside (confused) but the employees inside just ignored them. This is not the first time that this has happened. A couple weeks prior, we ordered online to pick up subs since we were in the area & they were ready at 7:45. I arrived at 7:45 to pick up my order but could not enter because the front door was locked (again, the store closes at 9:00 PM. I already paid for the order, otherwise I would've left. I had to stand outside & knock on the door while the people inside ignored me until someone finally realized that maybe I was the person picking up the online order. I sincerely hope that the franchise owner sees this message because this is a very poor business practice and the amount of money that the business lost by turning all of those customers away is ridiculous (and that was just in the 15 minutes that we waited for our subs) To make matters even worse, once we got home & went to enjoy our subs, the orders were wrong, which I feel was done on purpose because we questioned why they were turning customers away an hour and a half before closing. We won't be returning to Firehouse Subs & I'm certain that the people that were turned away were not happy either. Hopefully the franchise owner will either change the ours to reflect a closing time of 7:00 PM or hire employees that are willing to work the regular business hours. read more

On the app u can customize your sub - which I did - and select a pickup time. My sub was in the shelve waiting for me as ordered and on time. They come in these nice containers to prevent smooshing ;) Highly recommend these over some of the other shops. read more

We ordered two subs tonight because my husband and I work all day all week and I cook every day... we just needed a care free dinner. What better way than to order subs from somewhere, Right? I asked for no onions (because I am allergic) and no banana peppers because I simply don't like them. I asked for all the regular toppings to be put on my sub. What I received was a sub with the meat, cheese and lettuce, tomato, onion, banana pepper, and no dressing what so ever. It cost me more than $30 for this meal. Stopped in here after having a coupon for a sub, I recently have gone vegetarian and I've noticed some sub places don't offer veggie subs. I was happy to learn that they do offer one here so that was a plus. On entering there was no one else here as I arrived early to beat the lunch rush cause they get super busy here. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. The sub was ready very quick less than five minutes. The sub was kinda small and I wish it had more veggies on it but overall it was a good quick lunch. Firehouse subs in Robinson is a pretty solid sub option. I enjoy their offerings and put them a step above Subway but still prefer a Bob's Sub or DiBellas overall. Maybe more in line with Jimmy Johns. And that's not saying there is anything wrong with them. I love Jimmy Johns! The service was very fast and friendly. I ordered from the Medium under $6 menu and got a Cajun Chicken. Not bad at all. It was just about the right size to feel satisfied without feeling stuffed with a chips and drink combo. I especially enjoy the hot sauce bar!!! They have plenty of sauces to spruce up your sub if you'd like. I would highly recommend the Gator Hammock Gator Sauce. I liked it so much that I had to find it to order online. The house sauce is also very likable. Overall price, quality and quantity makes Firehouse a nice option for a sub. read more

Visiting Pittsburgh we decided to try out this sandwich shop. When you first walk in and look around they have a display of firemen gear all around the restaurant. There is even advertisements about fire safety. I had a hard time deciding which sandwich to get. I almost had my go to "Italian" but I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the New York Steamer. This is a hot sub with layers of corned beef, pastrami, provolone cheese, mayo, and Italian dressing. I got the deal, which was the pair. You get a small sub and side. The side I chose was macaroni and cheese. It was made with creamy White cheddar sauce and topped crushed garlic croutons. They were both delicious. Highly recommend trying this place out! read more

Never had a Firehouse sub but have seen many in all our hockey world travels. It wasn't our first choice for a meal Sunday but since we were there for Chipotle we decided to try it. Man I'm glad we did! We had a turkey, chicken and smoked beef brisket sandwich. Let me start off by saying that the sub I got from here was great. The service, however, was lacking. It was busy which I was fine with. I expected a little bit of a wait. However, with only two to three people in front of me, I wasn't expecting an almost half-hour wait for a sandwich. The workers were too busy laughing and joking around and taking their good old time. The woman in front of me had to send her order back twice because it was incorrect and by the time they got to mine, there was a whole line of people waiting for their food. I had the Italian Sub ( Medium ) I think the sandwich definitely was loaded with meat and it was very Tasty the only thing I would change would be the dressing instead of a Mayonnaise based one I would prefer an Italian dressing.
