Daylight robbery. I was just told an $49 part was $211.95. It would cost $390 to replace an LED bulb in my fridge. When I called to ask why, the parts person said that they're told to price original parts at what Whirlpool says it should be. Okay so, then I look to see what others charge for the same OEM part and the most I see it for is $85. It's no wonder they have such a low rating. I don't think they'll ever get my business again. The robbed me for $90 to come and diagnose the problem for 11 minutes. Never again! They should refund me $93.57 immediately. read more

We had the opportunity to use Dick Cooper Appliances for a dryer repair. The tech was excellent. He was on time, polite and very knowledgable. He explained the problem, had the part he needed in the truck and fixed. He was a very nice person and made sure we were happy with his work. He really cared, and that's so nice these day. Local yokel doesn't stand by his work. I'm guessing he can only stay in business because he is local and the residents here are related to him. Could never make it anywhere else. He charges too much; sends a serviceman who does shoddy work (left the electrical connection under the dishwasher on the floor and unprotected by the electrical box, which wasn't discovered until a year later when we were replacing the floor.) Also noticed that the front panel was out of alignment which prevented the operating panel to seat into the front cover correctly. Nice work. Please, if you are new to the area find someone else to provide you service. There isn't enough space here to tell you what a nightmare and expense it was to get them out here when the problem with dishwasher and stove took place. This included not showing up after setting up the appointment and trying to charge extra for looking at both appliances even though they were in the same kitchen. Tried to let them off the hook, but after the owner trying to abrogate all responsibility for his product and service, I chose to warn you. read more

Yes , had a great recent experience with their service department. On time and the price was told , was honored. Very very happy. Local. Have bought entire kitchen appliances from them and none has failed. This issue had to do with a condo issue with used items. For the last 30 plus years, they have never let me down. read more

We needed a part for our refrigerator after a light bulb burned a hole in a plastic part. When the part was delivered to the store, the receptionist made it easy to get an appointment. (We had to call a few times and was always able to speak to a live person) The repairman, Jose (wearing a mask) came at the scheduled time and not only fixed the problem but took the time to explain very important information about preventing problems in the future for this and other refrigerators. These guys stink. If you are reading this GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Every review is one star for a reason. These guys installed a dishwasher for my mother. They charged $150 to install the dishwasher and on the bill they added a $50 "delivery fee". When we complained that this was not disclosed and delivery is assumed with the $150 installation they refused to refund the delivery fee. The dishwasher immediately leaked. We called to get them to come fix it early on a Fri morning. The response was they can't get someone here until Mon because they are "too busy". Horrible customer service. We gave the business to a local vendor to try to support the local economy. Sadly these guys are are a horrible example and give local vendors a bad name. read more

Stay away, do not buy from them or use them for service. We used Dick Cooper to repair our Maytag dryer. It took two visits to fix the problem, charging us each time over $110 a visit. The repair was to replace the drum seals, which now, 6 months later are coming off the drum. When I called the store to have them fix the problem and not charge us, they said their warranty is only good for 30 days. So they do not stand behind their work. We paid $250 for the repair, and they will not honor their workmanship, or lack thereof. We believe in supporting our local businesses, but do not give this place your business. They are not interested in customer service or providing quality work. read more

A 15 min. visit from Dick Cooper cost my place of employment $95.00! And all that was wrong was the TV component was on the wrong setting.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased a GE Profile used range for $599. Right after it was delivered I noticed that, not only was the ceramic cooktop filthy, but the oven was missing a rack. When I contacted them about the missing rack (not even mentioning how I had to clean the cooktop with a razor blade for 30 minutes) I was told to come in with the existing rack to see if their service guy could find one that fit my range. I did and, while I waited, he rummaged around downstairs. I was given one to try but it was too big. I then looked online and found a replacement rack for $45 (plus shipping). I sent Rich the link at which point he said he had no intention of buying the rack for me. To make matters worse, two weeks after the range was delivered I noticed on my invoice that I had been charged $149 for delivery, rather than the $100 I was originally quoted. When this was pointed out to Rich in an email, he totally ignored me. In the end, I bought a 15-year old range for $801 ($599 + $149 delivery + $54 replacement oven rack). And spent time cleaning a stove I had just bought, driving 50 miles round trip to go back for the oven rack (that didn't fit), searching online for the right part and writing a number of emails to try to straighten things out. If you are looking for used appliances, STAY AWAY. You would be better off buying something for $150 on Craig's List. The customer service would be the same and you'd save a lot of money and aggravation. read more
