Just an oil change for my 2024 Altima. They inspected everything and provided excellent service.

I bought a brand-new Nissan Pathfinder, 11 miles on it. I have had it 2.5 years and during that time it has been in for service issues 17 times!! 17 times I would like to cut my losses and have them stand behind "we believe in nice" I would like a new vehicle this is ridiculous!! Nothing nice about having to take you vehicle into the dealership for repairs..... 17 times!!! How does a person get off work to do this and get around while they have my vehicle? I dealt with them twice and both times they tried to charge me more than the listed price for the used vehicle. The first time was for $5K more (for an alarm system and other dealer add-ons) and the second time it was for $4K more than the advertised price with no add-ons. I laughed and as I was about to remind them of the Truth in Advertising Laws, they admitted they made a mistake and tried to sell for the advertised price. Not once, but twice, during an attempted sale, Dick Hannah Nissan did an online pricing bait and switch, briefly advertising a much lower price and then, "oh, sorry, we're having trouble with our website." Another customer, overhearing this stunt playing out, actually came over and cautioned me while the sales team wasn't looking that they had a similar bait and switch experience. Then, during a test drive, a break maintenance light came on and staff attempted to pretend it was a low tire pressure light. I had to show them the "break light maintenance" warning icon in the car's manual to get them to stop trying to sell me an unsafe car same-day. And they won't budge on not charging you for the sales gimmick of claiming to put nitrogen in their tires. Google it. So scammy. They pass you around from team member to team member. You leave feeling so manhandled that you need a shower. There are much more ethical Nissan dealers out there. Shop elsewhere. read more

Be prepared for the typical insufferable corporate squeeze. They sill employ the old school hard sell tactics to push extra warranty coverage, "protection packages" etc.. I just bought a Nissan Murano and needed a new fab for my vehicle as the one I was given was in poor condition. Dick Hannah charged me $339.00 for 1 fab and $70.00 to install, totalling $409.00. The cost for this part and service is outrageous! Unfortunately I learned later you can get two new fabs on Amazon for $40.00 and can DIY installing them. There are plenty of YouTube's on line demonstrating how to. My Co-worker did this and saved herself the grief of paying 17x"s the cost. If this the how Dick Hannah Nissan in Gladstone does business for a small part like a fab I would not trust them to work on my vehicle for routine maintenance. Austin, the sales rep, presented me with "the sheet" we haggled a bit and setted on a price after discussing a few broken items(headlight and tailight) and worn tires that didnt meet saftey standards, i signed and shook hands with the financial rep, who left and came back later with sheet for a higher than agreed price and none of the included repairs factored in claiming the truck was being sold AS IS, higher than posted online btw. after 2+ hours of back and forth about price and repair items the financial rep asked me to leave as apparently i was being too emotional about the transaction. I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star. I dealt with Grace, I have to give Grace 3 Stars . After asking for not 1 but 2 days to make sure financing was good to go before I drove an hour up to the store. I did my homework, or so I thought! I looked at trucks online (I just wanted to buy a damn truck) I sent pictures of my vehicle that I was trading in, and, sent paystubs, and everything they asked for. I was told good to go, and come on up! So I go up. Nothing is finalized and they don't even have the trucks on the lot. They are in Vancouver which is another half hour away. We find this out after sitting around for 3 damn hours. (Remember I asked specifically for this to be done?) I kept getting told they were working on my file. Yes, I don't have perfect credit, yes my suv depreciated more in the year and a half compared to what I owe and I'm upside down. I know all this. So, I get told, its time to go test drive the truck to make sure it's what I really want (and drive to Vancouver) I drive, I love, we get told, great news! You have been approved for financing for this truck! Great right? NO! We drive said truck back to Gladstone and sit down with what's his name finance guy, and he starts telling me to get financing I need 3k down and my payments will be $800 a month! Yes, you saw that right, $800 friggen dollars a month. As for the down payment, I specifically told him I could do no more than $500 on the following week and that was it. And I could do payments of no more than 500 to 550 if I had to. He kept saying 3k down and $800. I mean seriously, was I going to pull 3k out of my ass? I let him know that it was crap, false advertising, and they lied to me. I took my keys and pretty much told him to go f off and left in my vehicle. I have never been so pissed off or dissatisfied, disappointed from a dealership as I was today. Don't tell someone they are approved and then pull a crap stunt like that!!! It's a bullshit move! But maybe they think that someone wants it bad enough they are willing to pay those ridiculous prices. I took my Rogue in for an oil change and tire rotation on 12/21 (four days ago). Total bill was $66, which is reasonable for a synthetic oil change, and the rotation is free. Good service, friendly staff working that Saturday morning, and no problems. This is fairly similar to how I've been treated in the past when I've taken my vehicle there for oil changes and other basic maintenance. Never an issue with the service, prices, or friendliness of the people, and I'd give them five stars for that. So why am I giving them only three stars? Because of the non-stop onslaught of emails and text messages I've gotten since then. I am writing this review about 100 hours after my service, and I've gotten no less than ten emails and/or text messages from them or Nissan, thanking me for service, begging for a review, or asking how things went. I've even opted out or unsubscribed to at least three of them. DHN and Nissan need to understand how annoying it is to get bombarded with those texts and emails, especially such an insane number of them in such a short window. Your service is great, prices are fine, but please stop pestering your customers after the service! I'm seriously contemplating going somewhere else, because of this. read more

I hope you read this before purchasing a car from Dick Hannah. Do not engage - seriously. Thank me now for saving you an endless headache. Still need more convincing? Here's a list of the experience here: Bought a brand new truck. It was damaged in transit Waited A MONTH for it to be repaired, oh wait they couldn't repair it because parts for it didn't "exist." (Although the truck did, so how does that happen?) So, moved that loan to another brand new car. The trunk leaked water Had it for a month at the auto body shop( according to Oregon's lemon laws, it's officially a lemon). Got it back - no leak, but what's this?! The trunk won't open or close automatically anymore!! ADDITIONALLY, there are SCRATCHES all over the car that definitely were not previously there. Then the passenger seat heater wouldn't work. When we got it back after they "fixed it" the passenger side seat heater turned on both the driver's side and passenger side. Finally fixed the scratches all over the car. The steering wheel wasn't put back together correctly when they fixed the windshield. The trim on the side of the car was noticeably uneven after the paint job. We threw our hands up with it. Just exhausted from the process. The best service we got here was selling our car back to them. In which we lost more than $15,000. This should tell you how relieved we are to end working with this dealership. We were glad to be rid of them even though $15,000 in our household budget is a major amount of money. The service department is blatantly rude. No one takes accountability. It's not hard to say, "We messed up. We will make it up to you." I guess it would be impossible saying that if the plan is to do only the bare minimum. They are sorely lacking in good communication skills and dangerously misogynistic. Our car was in the shop more than it was on our own driveway due to manufacture defects and negligence in Dick Hannah and their affiliated auto body shop. So you can't trust Dick Hannah or the auto shops they work with closely. They would say, "Well, we've been giving you rental cars." Like it was some sort of consolation. We didn't pay for a brand new car to borrow someone's used car. They did pay for one month of our car payment, but that was because I went down there and made a big deal out of it. It would've been honorable if they had chosen it on their own because it was the right thing to do. Also, they got off easy with one car payment considering the months our car was being worked on. We did end up buying another car, however it was not here and never will be again. Save yourself the hassle. There are so many other dealerships in this area. I received a call from Jason, to which I responded back via text as he told me that was ok. I received a message back telling me to call a phone number to bring the car in during a certain time, when a certain person was in the store. So they at least attempted to help. I called the dealership a couple times to try to set something up, and felt brushed off. I am a very busy person, and average 55 hours a week at work so it is difficult to set something up, which I understand. But as a general manager myself, taking care of customers is beyond important to me. I felt defeated trying to work with them, and gave up trying to make a time. I still haven't gotten my car fixed, because I can't afford to go to Nissan of Portland (they are willing to help but want me to pay, even though under warranty) and the issues are getting worse to the point that I refuse to drive on 205. I have been coming here for car service for months. It seems like the job they do under tho hood is all right but the poor customer service just never improves. I always dread coming here. If you look at my other reviews, you can see that I am easy to please. Even thought I tried to be okay with this place, I dislike it more and more everytime I come in. I bought a brand new 2018 Nissan Kicks after totaling my car in July. Sales department was fine.... After having my *brand new car for a matter of weeks I was driving 30mph when the car shut off. Completely off, no power steering, no lights on the dashboard- nothing. I thought it was just a glitch. Fast forward a couple more weeks and I've made an appointment for this problem because it happened AGAIN. Imagine driving and your car shuts off, it's a push to start so it has nothing to do with actual keys. I'm going 65mph on the freeway and my CAR SHUTS OFF 2 days before my appointment. I'd had enough, that was terrifying and I was about 2 miles away from Dick Hannah. So after I'd pulled over, collected myself and restarted my car I drove straight to Dick Hannah. I went to the service department and told them I had an appointment in 2 days but my car just turned off on me and it wasn't safe to be driving. The man at the counter said "if you have an appointment you should wait until then because it'll be a few hours." I asked him if he understood that my car was unsafe since it was turning off, he said "well if you wanna wait, it'll be a few hours". I left. Furious at their neglect to take my statement seriously. I later called and spoke to Skye... we worked something out to where my car was taken the next day to be analyzed. It took Nissan 3 weeks to figure out what was wrong with my car. Since then I have had multiple issues with the service department. Every time I drive the 20 miles out to them, there's always an additional step. For instance today I made an appointment online for a 9am drop off for a recall on the car. I made the appointment online and there was an option to request a rental car. Which I did, I'm pregnant and I had an appointment at St. Vincent hospital at 10am that I could not be late for. I showed up EXPECTING a rental car, with no previous mention of there being a charge. Someone from Dick Hannah called me to get the mileage on my vehicle yesterday and I asked her "I requested a rental when I made my appointment online. Do you know if that's going to be one available?" She said "if there was an issue with you not getting one Skye would have called you". However when I went to DROP OFF my car I was told a rental isn't "covered for recalls" and I could rent one for $30 a day. Why wasn't this disclosed to me before I drove the 20 miles out to Nissan in Gladstone? The service department consistently miscommunicates. Skye told me it would only take about 20 minutes to perform the recall, so I asked "I'll be out of here by 9:30am? I have to be at St. Vincent's by 10am and I cannot be late." He then said "well just in case do you want to reschedule?" It's 20 miles one way... I've had to take my car out to them multiple times for reasons that are unavoidable. I cannot wait to get rid of this car! I'll be calling ANY other Nissan to get this recall part fixed and I truly hope I never have to go to Dick Hannah Nissan in Gladstone again. read more

I dont even know where to start. I got totally screwed here. Bought a 2016 pathfinder for $2k over bluebook, got tricked into buying a $3000 extended warranty, then 6 months later my car has over $4000 of repairs needed, on stuff that should have been taken care of before I bought it, AND to top it off, that $3000 extended warranty covers NONE of it. Needless to say I talked to the folks at dick hannah nissan and they were incredibly rude, a waste of time and absolutely no help. Currently looking at legal options. Unethical and disgusting. Yall should be ashamed of yourselves. Now im out $7000 on an $18,000 car. After only 6 months. Waiting for my attorney to get back to me. Long story short: we took our vehicle in for repairs and they damaged the cooling system, covering the front of our vehicle with coolant. They needed to keep it due to the part not being in stock. During this time the coolant was never wiped off of the hood, which is never good for clear coat. We noticed a residue when we received the vehicle and they offered to wash and polish, which in turn caused what is known as crow's feet in the clear coat. They claim no fault and refuse to redo the clear coat on the hood. We have spent many thousands of dollars at this service center and have had mostly pleasant experiences with both the service and the staff. We will no longer frequent this shady business, nor will we ever own another Nissan. read more

Warning Dick Hannah Gladstone Nissan service department customers. I recently took my Nissan to be serviced for regular maintenance and witnessed and experience some very shady practices. I was told at my last two services (10,000 miles) that the battery did not test up to standards. I've had no issues with starting or any other electrical disturbance. Rather than be caught in the cold weather I did get a new one. I was called to be informed that my rear brakes were wearing thin and that I would also have to have my break lines blead. I postponed that service. Battery and an oil change $279.00. Tire rotation used to be free and now $20. Last oil change was less than $50 and include a tire rotation. I mentioned that to the counter person with the white hair and his response was "things go up" irritated, I just paid and was leaving he said sarcastically "have a good day" what an ass. I would never go back! While I was waiting to get my car a the man at the counter with white hair was talking to a woman and explaining that her rear brakes were wearing thin, she should have a radiator flush, break lines blead, windshield wipers replaced, all filters replaced, transmission fluid replaced and multiple other things. I'm sure it was at least $1000. If not more. Very shady. That seems very excessive to say the least and the counter person was pushing more and more services on her. I talked to a woman outside who was waiting for her car she also just had her rear brakes replaced, and a new battery? I don't think this is a coincidence. I think the counter person enjoys ripping people off and as a representative of the Nissan dealership the dealership must enjoy ripping people off. Please get a second opinion before having any work done on your car and don't use Dick Hannah Gladstone Nissan. I will never go to Dick Hannah Gladstone Nissan again. First if you have a thought of what a run around dealership is, this is the place. We first talked to Micah on the phone and my wife literally said 4x "my wife Alicia" and he replied, "your partner?" She reinforced my wife. Then when we got down there he still during the app process was confused and we said again we are married. He said you get approved first before they show you cars. Cool! That's the best way. So we told him we were open to an SUV or sedan and truck was our priority. We also told him the amount max that we'd pay a month. He replied ok and that he'd let the finance people know. Well after sometime they brought a truck for us to see and he gave the thumbs up. Once we drove it around and found we didn't like it he told the finance group and we picked another vehicle. The finance guy with the gloves on said are you open to anything else. I said yes we have already stated this a couple times to Micah. He asked what vehicle and I pointed at an orange Altama and he said take it for a drive. I said is it something we could get into? He said it's way better numbers than the truck. Loved the car and came back and waited. Finance guy came out and gave us the numbers. First he asked if we could do a certain amount down which we had already said yes too before. And then he asks about a payment that is $185 more a month than what we had stated we want to keep them around. He seemed surprised but said he would see if that could happen. After coming back he said nope it's not going to work. I said why did you have us test drive any vehicles if you could not "approve" us for the vehicles first with the numbers we said? He replied with a vague statement if we were trying. He said the banks weren't open to talk to a human so now he thinks we can work out a deal. Not to mention Micah during the wait when asked if we have a shot he replied how a guy customer comes in often (GAVE HIS NAME) and said how his credit score is around 320 because of medical collections, owes a ton of child of support and is driving around in a repo car Audi. He then said how an elderly female (which he gave the name too) has a beacon score of 900 and is 88 years old. I was shocked that is suppose to be private! He also said the truck was a diesel and found it it's not. He said it's a short body but was wrong on that too. With all the run around, lies, lines, and confidential garbage given out and clearly not listening, I gave the 1 star for. But I gave the 1 star because the cars were nice and the place is clean. Update: I need to give James Wheeler at Gladstone Nissan and Amanda props. She was very nice and although we didn't talk to her a lot she was still on her game. James took the time out to contact me and talk in detail and I greatly appreciate it. I felt the way he was is how they all should. Because of this I changed from 1 star to 5. When we made our purchase James came out and met us and sat and talked for a bit. I was matched up with Jason Bacon this time who was great! He knew his stuff and was very professional. I will definitely buy our next vehicle there. James also did an awesome out of the way A+ customer service. The lounge is nice but most the friendly service from James Amanda and the finance guy is superb! read more

Update 9/24/2019: Still no refund for work performed that should have been covered by my Maintenance Contract. Even after the manager said he would "personally take care of it." I finally told them I wanted out of this horrible "Maintenance Contract" and they were all too happy to let me leave. However, they will only refund a prorated amount never mind the fact the car was still unter warranty for the entire first year and the very first time I try and use the maintenance contract for a legitimate claim they deny it and leave me hanging. Well done, Dick Hanna, well done. Don't walk way from this place. RUN! Original review: Changing my review to a one star. Service used to be amazing here about 3 years ago. Now's it's just excuses, lies, and hidden fees. We buy a new company vehicle every 3 years or so and a new personal vehicle about every 5 years. On our latest company vehicle which we bought last year we got the usual extend warranty and service package. We were told that as a part of this all "door dings" were covered. Fantastic! (If it were only true.) Fast forward a year and we schedule the routine maintenance, telling them we need some warranty door dings fixed. They say "no problem our paint chip guy only works Wednesday so we will reschedule you for next week." This sets the expectation that even THEY thought that "door dings" included paint repair. Ever seen a door ding without paint damage? At least a scuff? Neither have I. Anyway we drop it off and they walk around documenting everything and say it will take all day. We get a call an hour later saying the paint chips aren't covered, only the dent which accompanied the chip! WHAT?!? Ok I'll talk with the manager when he gets in. (Still not resolved) I had also reported my parking break wasn't working. Well they proceed to tell me I'm out side of the "12 month adjustment window." Uh what? I bought the extended service warranty. Nope, it's an adjustment not a breakdown so I'm on the hook for it. So where's the line drawn? If the motor starts backfiring but still runs is that an adjustment? Or will that meet the mythical breakdown criteria? Honestly, I love Nissan's and will continue to buy them. I will also continue to bring my cars here for service as this is where the service contract is held (what little service I get). But I can promise you this, I will never buy another car from this place. Sales sells the first car but service sells all the rest. That's the saying. 4.5 stars. Very nice experience purchasing a new Murano. Alex, Noe & James we're patient with us. Found exactly the (very hard to find) trim package we wanted.
