    After searching for and testing many small and mid sized SUVs, the Mazda CX-3 won me over. Sporty, super fun to drive. cushy, comfortable seats, and enough storage for my needs - a deal was finally made! For a person who has only owned 2 seater sports cars, this was a huge decision! But lifestyle now dictates a need for more seats and ability to haul , so here's to the next chapter! Bob greeted me and unlike other sales people, he immediately inquired about my needs, not what car I wanted. Originally there to see a CX-5, he quickly realized it was too much car for me. He introduced me to Erin Perez who took me for a test drive in a CX-3. A real test drive! Not just down 2 blocks and back. We went on the freeway, country roads, up hill, around curves. The more I drove, the more I knew this car met my driving needs. While they didn't negotiate on price since it was supposedly on sale for July 4th, I did get almost what I was asking for my SLK 250. Right? I know what your thinking. It did break my heart seeing my shiny sportscar leave my garage, but the joy of driving the Mazda quickly took over. Like all dealerships they try to get you to pay ridiculous amounts for unnecessary add ons like undercoating. Since I bought a used car - my first - I did purchase the 8 year/100k miles full dealer warranty at half the sale price they offered. Everything is negotiable, my friends! Erin was fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable and not pushy. She knows what she is doing. Did I mention the test drive? While prices are higher than right down the street in Oregon City, I still give 5 stars for overall package and experience.

    Oil change appointment at the time I needed. Excellent service in and out quickly. Got my free car wash to get on my own time. Love Gladstone Mazda!

    Honest, offered me a great deal and didn't push too hard. They really just wanted to get me in the car I was there to buy. Didn't push much for random extras and were transparent with the end price. they showed me the cost and gave me tips to lower certain fees, showed me monthly payments at different rates and loan length. Great experience and I would recommend them over any other Mazda dealer in the area. Couldnt offer me the same trade in value as carmax but understood that I wouldn't leave money on the table and even came and picked me up from carmax after I sold my car.

    Truly, the best car purchase experience I've ever had. Only went to test drive but the car was perfect. Decided to go ahead and purchase. Between Jonathon (Sales Manager) and Joey, our salesman, it went smooth and easy. NO hidden fees, NO tricky deals! Up front. Honest. And no pressure. Even the finance guy was great! Took me through the signing process quickly and easily. You just can't get better than that. They also made sure the car was detailed and full of gas before we left.

She got excited. We looked up some on carguru and Platt came up in our search. Their place was few miles down the road so we went down thinking we'd be turned away. Peter was more than happy to accommodate. He let us test drive a couple different models including a Bolt. It really opened our eyes to these vehicles. He talked with us after the test drives and was happy to answer questions, give advice and info on all types of EV's (this was after close mind you). We weren't quite ready to purchase a car yet so we left. Peter's non-pushy attitude and kindness stuck with us. About two months later we decided to pull the trigger. I couldn't think of any other place to look for an EV. We had a list of options we wanted and Peter accommodated us and pulled a bunch of cars from their list. We test drove a couple AWD Nissan Aryia Engage+ e-4orce and really liked them. We went ahead and purchased one. It was a lease return with 15k miles. The EV was in great condition and the price was right. They were generous with our trade in and all the paperwork was very swift. I think we were out of there in under 2 hours. We highly recommend Platt Auto if interested in an used EV. You wont be sorry. They have a lot of different models to choose from.

Today they informed me that my repair was ready to go. And I asked them to provide an Uber for me to take me from my house to the facility so I can pick up my car. It's something they've done EVERY SINGLE TIME IN THE PAST. Now they're telling me, they'll only cover $15 toward the cost of the Uber, and everything else will go on my bill. They said it was a "management decision." Let me just add, this is going to be an expensive repair (over $1000). They did, in fact, charge me the extra $3 for the Uber and when I spoke to the service manager, he threw his arms up and said, this is a company decision. And it's the same at every Volkswagen dealership in the entire Portland area. So lesson number one, don't take your car to the dealer. But it seems to me that any service manager worth their salt would have said something to the effect of "oh, I'm so sorry that you don't like this new policy. Let me take off the $3 charge as a courtesy, as a way to maintain your continued business... Buehler?...Anyone?...Buehler? Pushed into a bad deal: I was pressured into buying a car with front-end damage. 2. Two sales people told me untruths about the car. "The car automatically comes with a 3 year maintenance plan from the manufacturer." I told him that the maintenance plan went away last year. Then he stated he has all his customers spend $4k to get all of their oil changes covered so they would be "Free"! "They have had the same motor in the palisade since 2020 and they actually found a way to up the horse power and torque for 2026." Not correct. They went from 3.8 liter to a 3.5 liter and the numbers went down, not up, in horse power and torque. 3.Text offer: I received a text offer of $7,000 off the MSRP with Costco pricing 4. In-person interaction: I went in to get the numbers all figured out, but they showed me $16,000 over the MSRP with various add-ons. 5. Inconsistent information: Every time I mentioned the number I was told over text, they said it was impossible to get to that number in person. 6. Promises of a better car: They kept promising me that they would get me the car I actually wanted to buy, but they all sold that day, so they could couldn't do a dealer trade. 7. Car I wanted is still for sale: The car I wanted is still available at the other dealership. When I pointed this out, they blamed someone else and never reached out to me again. 8. underestimated taxes and fees: They underestimated my taxes and fees on their offers so the out the door price looks cheaper, which resulted in a $600 difference from what I actually paid. It's important to be aware that they will often understate your taxes and fees to get you into financing.

Earlier that same day we had stopped at Beaverton Kia and unfortunately had a very negative experience there. Walking into Ron Tonkin Gladstone was the complete opposite! Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about helping us.     TLDR: They literally…read moreruined a road trip for me and didn't even have the decency of reimbursing for towing or the initial diagnostic. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO DO YOUR MAINTENANCE I bought my Kia from RonTonkin Kia a year ago and returned almost two months ago to use my complimentary oil change. A week later, while on the highway at the start of a long-awaited road trip to Utah, my oil plug fell out -- a catastrophic failure that should never happen after a routine oil change. It left me stranded, stressed out, and forced to miss a hotel reservation we had already paid for. I had to get my car towed to the nearest Kia dealership, Weston Kia, where I was told in no uncertain terms: RonTonkin's service tech failed to properly tighten the oil plug. RonTonkin admitted fault and arranged for the car to be towed to their shop for testing. I was told there would be no cost to me. But Weston Kia would not release my car without someone covering the initial diagnostic fee. I paid it, under the reasonable assumption that RonTonkin would reimburse me later, since they were at fault and I was only in this situation because of their negligence. That was my mistake. While they eventually confirmed there was no engine damage, they dragged their feet for four weeks. I had already submitted a request for reimbursement for the towing and diagnostic charges, which was met with complete silence. When I finally picked up my car, the service advisor (Christian) told me I needed to call Kia corporate to get reimbursed -- which made zero sense. Kia corporate, of course, told me what I already suspected: this is a dealership service issue, and it's entirely RonTonkin's responsibility. When I circled back to Christian, he stalled again before ultimately telling me they wouldn't reimburse any of my costs. His excuse? That I "should have used Kia roadside assistance" for the tow (as if people are thinking clearly when their car breaks down in the middle of a road trip due to someone else's mistake), and that there's "no way" for them to reimburse the diagnostic fee. Unbelievable. This shop cost me hundreds of dollars, tons of time, and a road trip I had been looking forward to for months -- and then refused to take full responsibility. Not only was the oil change done incorrectly, but the customer service afterward was evasive, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Save yourself the stress and the risk. Avoid RonTonkin Kia Service Center at all costs
