Starting off 2026 with a sigh. We're in this area a lot but I've never had dickeys and kinda wanted some bbq but honestly I should've gone somewhere else. We ordered online on their site and picked up so can't speak about service or ambiance. The place was empty at 7pm and I can understand why. As you can see in my pic, my sandwich was crumbled up and there are barely any fries. I got a pulled pork sandwich with Carolina bbq with onions as an add on, hand cut fries, and lemonade. Well I didn't get any onions so that was sad. The pulled pork was dry and had a pickle flavor but I'm not a fan of pickles. The fries were soggy but I'll blame that on the 10 min drive home but they had no flavor regardless. And for $15.50 for this meal, its disappointing to have that little fries, a smushed dry, pickley sandwich, and watered down lemonade that tastes like it was made from powder. The only plus is I have a reusable cup to remind me why I don't recommend this place :( read more

I saw a bunch of low star reviews, and I guess I should've listened. if I had to sum up the experience and the food with one word: dry. I ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket and ribs and the 10 wing special. flavor was somewhat there(?) in a way - like you can tell its BBQ but the meat itself was all dry and chewy. i honestly would've just ate beef jerky instead, at least theres more flavor in those. this was taken to-go, so not sure how service would have been, but the restaurant was empty at 7pm on a Wednesday night so do with this information however you want. like im sure there's potential, but then again, this isn't a new restaurant. they should've been well established by now, but the only thing they really established was perfecting bland, dry food. so, if youre looking for a good BBQ joint, just make the extra drive over to Denver that actually specializes in authentic BBQ - you'll enjoy that more. read more

I love BBQ so I want to see this Dickeys location succeed, but my two recent meals were not acceptable. The brisket was dry, past well done. Odd because it had only mild hunts of smoke, it was not fresh off the smoker, perhaps reheated one or more times? The young man at the register was apologetic but the man cutting the meat and preparing the sandwich was clearly agitated by our critique. The ice cream machine has not been plugged in for a very long time yet their adds say "Free soft serve is back", not true for our recent visit. Randi, the GM, responses to client criticisms s respectful but clearly disingenuous given the fact that the reviews show no sign of improvement. GQ BBQ in Lone Tree is worth the drive. I'm usually not someone to post bad reviews, but this place was horrible and the food was literally inedible. I ordered the chicken baked potato while here and the food came to the table cold. The chicken was cold, dry, tough, and had no taste. The potato itself was cold and obviously not cooked thoroughly - it appeared to have been sitting out for a while without reheating from the looks/texture of the potato's exterior. The presentation of the food also was horrible - it came to the table with the potato completely cut in half (perfectly held together due to the potato's temperature and probable time just sitting at room temperature) with a scoop of sour cream and a scoop of butter. It looked totally unappetizing, as was its taste. I fully recommend to anyone to not waste your money here (like I did) and save yourself the time (and fear of getting food poisoning). The staff was friendly enough. It seems a bit like we were disturbing them by coming in. One made comments about being ready for his smoke break and then when he went out to take it opened the door and blew the smoke back inside the restaurant. The interior was pretty clean for the most part. The food was okay. The meat did not have much flavor without bbq sauce. And everything was slightly warmer than room temperature. Very good service. Ribs are very tasty. Larger thicker napkins are needed if you are eating in. Sides are very small, pricey and overall lack freshness taste and crispness. DICKEY'S BBQ CASTLE ROCK- MISERABLE customer service. I ordered through DoorDash tonight. The meal came, bag completely stapled. I had 2 orders for beef brisket, each with their own sauce. When we opened the stapled bag, there was absolutely NO SAUCE. I ordered sauce for both orders. So, yes. They gave me BBQ with NO BBQ SAUCE. I called them, and all I got was, "It's through DoorDash, there isn't anything we can do." So my ask was, "I placed the order through YOU. It was up to YOU to put the sauce into the STAPLED BAG. You failed to do it. How is this DoorDash's fault?" After a lot of stumbling over words, they offered I come get the sauce myself. WHAT?!?! Then I offered they do a coupon for 1 free meal I could pick up later since the inconvenience of giving me BBQ with NO BBQ SAUCE. I mean, REALLY?! He chose bbq for dinner. I wasn't excited but decided something new was in order. The parking lot is a bad design so be careful. The place is a little dark. I chose 6 wings with lemon pepper and fried pickles. He didn't know if they had any. So I changed to waffle fries. He said they might have some fried pickles and went to check. They did. He had a two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork with Mac and cheese sides. I decided on waffle fries as my side. Soda and water rounded off our order. While I was waiting I decided on an ice cream cone. They have free ice cream there which was a surprise to me. The bbq sauces are with the utensils. There are three kinds - spicy, original and sweet. You ladle them into little condiment containers. The lemon pepper chicken wings were amazing. Some of the wings had more seasoning and was too lemony and salty but I ate those with the waffle fries and it balanced the taste out. The waffle fries were also very good. Cooked to perfection. They didn't include my fried pickles with the order. I was sad. No way of knowing if we were charged as there was no itemized receipt. He liked the pulled pork but not the brisket as much. Honestly a horrendous experience. Walking in, the store was empty and awkward feeling. Felt dirty to start. Ordered a ham melt and the guy had to look at the menu to see what a combo was. Terrible sandwich. My ham was cold to the touch, globs of nacho cheese slathered all over it. Felt like I could get sick from eating the slimy cold meat sandwich. Took one bite and left the rest. Ordered Mac and cheese as a side and it was also practically frozen. What bbq places serves cold meat on their sandwiches? Especially a sandwich that's called a "melt". I will not be going back. The county should send a health inspector. There were 4 guys working who kept talking about if they could go home early because it was going to be a slow night. The manager rolled a massive trash can by us to take out the front door. Unsanitary to customers attempting to eat in a restaurant. I've been helping my husband deal with this, but I have the Yelp account so here are his words: Walked-in to order at this location on 3/19/26. Machine asked for my signature, I signed and the screen said "completed". CSR first said, "I don't think it went through. Try again." I did it again (worried that I was being double-charged). Manager came over and asked what was wrong. Server said, "It's not going through again." Manager said I wasn't overcharged, but CSR told me he thought I was. I didn't have my bank app on my phone but had my wife check online a soon as I got home. There was indeed a double charge from the restaurant and neither were pending. I called and left a voicemail that same night. 3/20 I called and spoke to a server and he said he couldn't do anything about it and the manager wouldn't be onsite til 3/21. I drove back to the restaurant on 3/21. Initially the manager couldn't find the transaction # though I gave them my receipt and provided him the screenshot of the bank statement. Then he said, "Since you have waited 2 days to deal with this, I cannot reimburse you without owner approval." Really? YOU waited 2 days to deal with this, I've been actively dealing with this for 2 days...BIG DIFFERENCE. He gave me the owner's number, who isn't answering their phone. 33 miles back and forth every time they tell me I have to come in person to speak with someone. Will be disputing this charge with my bank if I don't see a reverse of this charge soon. No give a damn to make this right and it's the principle of it. Staff was rude. Orders were messed up even after having to repeat it to the staff multiple times and most of the food came out cold. We didn't order anything abnormal, just their combo meals. They have a free ice cream machines but it's definitely not worth it, it's just frozen milk. This review is more for the owner/s, I have been coming to this location for 6-7 years. I would say in the past year or so the quality of this place has gone down quite a bit. The past couple times I have come, I have paid for overpriced dry meat, this past time I have came in I got a giant baker with meat, the potato was hard so I told them and they generously gave me a new one, unfortunately that was hard too, the brisket was very overcooked and so was my chicken, it was dry and hard to eat. Looking around I see they are using the lobby as storage for their catering, the windows are dirty and the back wall looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a while. The past couple times I have been in the ice cream machine was out of order. I'm not trying to be a Karen, as someone who runs their own business I would like to be told when I am not meeting expectations. As I am writing this in the lobby, a gentleman is ordering some sort of brisket with no fat, the gentleman cutting it is giving him more meat but with fat in it, after the gentleman ordering leaves, the gentleman cutting the meat is loudly complaining to his coworker on how the customer is "in the wrong". It's a shame to watch a good restaurant that was once full of people go down hill and barely skate by. read more

Ordered 70 dollars worth of food off their website for delivery. We didn't know they don't deliver but they subcontract to DoorDash until it was delivered. Food was left on front porch and then received a text 12 mins later stating food was handed to customer but it was on the front porch getting cold. When we brought the bag in the house looked in the bag and bbq said was all over everything. Including the receipt that was on the outside of the bag. Obviously food was cold and covered with BBQ. When we called Dickeys, the girl who answered could have cared less. She said that it's not their responsibility to call DoorDash. We called and spoke to Emanuel who said since we paid through Dickeys website we have to go through Dickeys for the refund. Call Dickeys back and the same girl said we are basically out of luck as it is not their fault. Soo moral of the story, we are out 70 bucks and got cold BBQ covered food. Great job!! So very disappointed in our dining experience this evening. We were served bake potatoes that were so hard you could not even cut with a knife. Everything was lukewarm. I was hopeful, given that they are under new ownership, that it would be better than my previous experience under the old ownership. Sadly, I must say the food was very underwhelming! The ribs were crusty hard, like they had been in an oven or under a heat lamp ALL DAY! The beans tasted like they came straight out of a can - blah!!! Incredibly disappointed after stopping in for dinner tonight. First, the restaurant smelt sort of like sewage. It smacks you in the face when you walk in. But the real issue is with the food. The fried okra was awful. It tasted like freezer burn and was not remotely edible. The green beans were just...yuck. The ribs were dry and flavorless. They didn't taste fresh, at all. So sad to write my first poor review. This was the Worst experience! We ordered through grub hub the restaurant forgot half our order including sides and bbq sauce. Who eats barbecue without the sauce? The restaurant stated they knowingly sent the incorrect items and if we wanted it to be corrected we could come get it... if I wanted to do that I would have driven there in the first place. They also stated that they informed grub hub that it wasn't a big deal and that they should offer us a nominal fee. The gentleman also informed me that I should feel lucky that I wasn't the order after ours, because they ran out of items so he just gave them what they had left from the day. We hadn't ordered from here in years, in fact I forgot Dickey's was still around. So we ordered. Now I remember why. They left out parts of our order, when I called the kid that answered made some noise then panicked and hung up the phone. I called back thinking there was no way they would answer again- but he did. I asked to speak to a manger to refund me for the food they did. It send and was told he could t do that, that I'd have to call the next day and talk to the store manager. For the passed two days I've called and been told the manager just left. I asked for his cell phone and was told they would have him reach out to me. Nothing. Dumb employees, no customer skills, Mediocre food at best. Update: they sent me an email enrolling me in their website in order for me to file a complaint about not getting all the food ordered. On top of that- read the email they sent me in the attached photo, it starts with "we received your voicemail today. We have tried to reach out, but our calls were rejected...." As you can see from the other email, this is cut and paste by two different people. This email also arrived minutes after I emailed them. Leaves a LOT to be desired! The brisket sandwich had huge chunks of fat -- I honestly don't think they trimmed the brisket fat cap at all. A full 1/4 of the sandwich was pure fat. As far as taste goes, salt was the dominant flavor. Hardly tasted any of the smoke flavor, and I doubt their "rub" consists of much (if anything) beyond salt. The only positive thing I can say about the meat is it was tender like brisket should be. And the spicy BBQ sauce was fairly good. The fries were hand-cut, but were limp and oily. Fast-food fries would have been better (and a lot cheaper). Finally, the $4 "Caesar salad" was terrible! One torn-up piece of lettuce (if that...they probably make 2 salads out of a good size leaf), a few croutons, and a huge glob of canned dressing. Yuck! And did I mention $4 for this? It's an insult!
