Service was good and that is the one star. I had the brisket and chicken. Sides tried were Mac and cheese, potato salad, bbq beans. Not overly impressed by any. The potato salad was the worst. But sides are sides... if the star of the show were better I could let the sides ride. However, the brisket and chicken were terrible. The texture was off on the chicken breast...almost mushy. The brisket was tough. To add the taste was terrible. I thought well I can save it by adding some of the sauce provided... it was lacking flavor as well. Both the young woman and young man behind the counter were friendly and patient with my indecision. The ribs were perfect, fall off the bone ! We had visited Dickey's twice previously and found everything to be satisfactory. The food is good, but the customer service during this trip on 8/2/2019 was poor. The greeting was less than cordial, and the employees were much more interested in each other than the customers. To my surprize this is a chain and I hesitated for a fraction of a second after walking in. Don't let the knowledge that they're 'just' a chain stop you. The food was yummy and the service was fast. I had no idea what to order so I decided to go with the Saturday special which was the pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides and a drink. I had the potato salad and baked beans. The baked beans had a little bit of a smoky flavor. The potato salad was just Ok and tasted like it came from the container at Wal-mart. The pulled pork was fab. I tried all 3 of the sauces, original, sweet & spicy. I liked the sweet and spicy the most of all. I only used a little bit of the spicy since it seemed like it would be a bit too much for me on a sandwich. The place seemed clean and I noticed that they mac and cheese seemed to be popular when I stopped in. I will happily come back again in the future and try some other tasty vittles. Stopped in again just before Thanksgiving (about a month later) with my son. We each stuck to the special of the day which was Ribs. This time I tried the mac & cheese and the baked potato casserole. The ribs were nice and tender and came of the bone easily. The mac & cheese was good although a little mushy and the baked potato cassarole is better than the potato salad. I did think the cassarole should have been called mashed potato cassarole. Still they food was yummy and this time I noticed that they have vanilla soft serve for customers. Not sure how the heck I missed it last time. I forgot to mention that they also have a containers on the bar with onions and pickles to add to your sandwiches. Been here twice and am I'm so happy to have a good BBQ place close to the house! So many ways to get your Q fix. Whether its a plate on a roll or by the pound you will get your fix. So far I've only had the pulled pork and brisket so I'll update once I've had my fill of those. The pulled pork is fantastic. So succulent and tasty. The brisket (which you should always get chopped) was also top notch. They had a choice of three different BBQ sauces you can have sweet, normal, or spicy. Normal vas nice but I'm a spicy freak so thats where my money goes. Sides are what you expect at a BBQ place. Both the baked and jalapeño beans are an A but I give low marks to their potato salad. It was just not anything to write home about. The baked potato casserole was good. Wait staff is friendly and prompt to help you out. Manager or somebody usually walks around asking how things are which is always a plus. Only gripe i have is this place gets crazy busy at lunch. I like their BBQ but I have had better. The price is a little high for what you get. The cheddar jalapeno sausage is good. This is a chain so the taste is pretty uniform from place to place. I went here last night with my family. The service is awesome! The owner greeted us at the door, checked on us at the table, and thanked us for coming SEVERAL times. The food was also great. We had pulled pork sandwiches, brisket, and ribs. Usually in BBQ joints the meat is great and the sides suck. Not the case here! The meat was so tender it literally falls apart when you pick it up. I had baked beans and coleslaw which were also tasty. I love the variety of sauces. They even offered non BBQ kid meal options which is a problem I face often with my picker eater child. Okay...this is reviewing my first ever visit, so bare with me. We rolled in at peak lunch time. The wait wasn't too long, and you can look over everyone while they eat (it's fun to be creepy, right?) or you can try to see the menu to figure out what the hell you want to stuff your face with. The smell is GREAT when you walk in! A two meat combo will set you back 11 bucks, which aint bad. I went with pulled pork and brisket. My sides were the bbq beans and potato salad. My lady got the sandwhich with two meats on it (forgot the name)..pulled pork and sausage, beans and the baked potato salad. You also get a little roll, but whoever served it pushed their finger in mine, so it had a dimple. Kinda lame but whatever. Also, it was loud enough that we couldn't hear the dude taking our order very well, so we had to repeat it 2-3 times. We grabbed a seat and dug in. I like how there are three different sauces to choose from, and you can get as much as you want.I like a lot of sauce, so don't judge me if you see me doing shots of it. NOM NOM NOM. I had the OG sauce. It was good...if you don't know where to start, try that. The meats were good...not too greasy. My potato salad was just OK but the beans were great! Between them and the OG sauce, I was sweating a little. But then again, Im a fatass so I sweat just thinking about walking to the car. Anyways, I tried some of my lady's sandwich and it was pretty darn good too. The hoagie roll it came on was tasty. The baked pot salad was OK, but kinda needed salt, IMO. I have been here a few times since it has opened, and I haven't been disappointed. The service is always friendly, and the food is great....The chopped brisket is really good, but so is the pulled pork and the ribs.....Its hard to find a decent place around here that has good bbq, but I think this one is more than good enough for me so I wont have to go out of town. I have been by the store at least twice now around a hour to a hour and a half before close and the food is always already put up. The employees both times have acted very aggravated that they had to serve someone after putting everything up a hour or so before closing, if it's that big of a deal then why not close a hour earlier. This review is about one specific person more than the actual resturant. Me and my wife decided to eat there but had the kids so called in instead of trying to eat there with them. We called the order in and they told us 20 minutes. We showed up 35 minutes later and i went i. To get the food. There was a few people there but its not like it was packed or anything. Well i went to pay for my food and when i said i had a take out orderyou could see the look on her face that thwy had forgotten all about it. I was wrote done off to the side. Honestly im not the type of person that gets upset in situations lime this or even the type to write reviews (this is actually my first time ever). But it was just the way it happened and the fact that they just obviously didnt care at all. If anything she had a little attitude. So i asked her, "does it even matter if you call in before hand or do yall just make it when the people show up for it reguardless?" She told me that it was because they had a really big line. (Which is why people call in right? To get a spot in front of that big line?) I was pretty aggervated at this point more so vecause of her sassy attitude. But right as i was about to pay, I didnt catch her name, but this sweet little black lady that seemed to be the manager over heard the convo and could tell i was upset. And without saying another word she took 50 percent off my bill and told the girl it didnt matter, my order should have been made and ready. I was somewhat upset today. I got a text coupon today about buy one meat plate get another free. Well once got there they did not honor the coupon. The coupon was buy one meat plate get one meat plate. I was buying 2 2 meat plates and told the girl I wanted to just get the one meat plate free. She went to ask her manger he said no have to be word for word. That was crazy I was spending more money than the coupon even said I needed to spend so what was the big deal. I got the drinks and everything was just spending more money. Didn't want anything more just what the coupon said. This has happened to me with other of their coupons you get there and it's different. I went and had my friend go to another Dickey's and got 2 2 meat plates and the drinks and that manger gave her the free one meat plate. I think they all need to get on one thing. If I am spending more money just to get the same small thing your coupon offered what's the big deal you don't like money. Wow!
