Worst BBQ I've ever had. I ordered the 3 meat plate and a pulled pork sandwich. For the 3 meat I went with sliced brisket, pulled pork, and pork ribs. I didn't know brisket and pulled pork could be so dry. Almost choked to death on the brisket which was sold as "slices", but looks nothing like the sliced brisket at real BBQ joints. Everything was great. Almost exactly like barbecue pits are in Texas but except here in the state of Oregon. The service was very fast and great. The seating and music were very well comfortable and well fitting. Overall I live dickeys Barbecue put and I will be back again. read more

It's great to have authentic BBQ in a mall food court. The meat is tender (fall apart tender), tasty and they have three options for sauce. The prices are a bit spendy for mall food but in line for decent barbeque. This place does well on quality. While I wish they offered fries and onion straws as sides, they did not put a fryer in there. Of course there are other places near by if you want fries with their sandwich. (Or go to a standalone Dickey's instead). I had the Western style sandwich, opting for brisket as both meat options. It comes with cheese which I felt was odd so I didn't eat it. Like God intended, they have onions and pickles on the side, you just have to all for it. I had the BBQ beans on the side - hot, fresh - but otherwise not spectacular (no onion, peppers or bits of meat that turn average beans to really good beans). It was a bit cheaper to get the combo, I got the ceaser side salad, probably better named the Ceaser Sad Salad. A little pre-packaged collection of lettuce, croutons, grated cheese and a little cup of dressing. At least having a choice of dressing would have helped a lot, not to be had here. With only one exception, the staff seemed friendly and eager to help. The traditional big yellow plastic cup is there for any of you with previous experience with Dickey's. I didn't ask for a refill on the ice tea, I hope they are free should I go back for more I'm the future. They have daily specials to save a little cash. There is an app for ordering and offers and rewards, but it seems that none of the Dickey's in Oregon have recognized the importance of a mobile presence in 2018. read more

The 3 stars might be generous but they are still new to Lake O. The good. Sausage is excellent and chicken breast is good. The bad. Brisket is pot roast. Dry flavor less. Would be surprised if it is cooked at that location. Cut with the grain so it shreds when they cut it. Pulled pork laughable. See picture below. Ribs are so tender you can't pick up without all the meat falling off. Not the way i like ribs. I used a coupon for a free pulled pork sandwich. Thank you for the example. Wont be spending my money on PP. It just baffles me that they allow food to be served like this. It's to go only. The food quality is all they have to worry about. We love barbecue so it was only obvious that we had to stop and try the meat at this Dickey's. Getting brisket sliced in the northwest can sometimes be a little difficult it seems because most folks seem to think brisket is served chopped and in a sandwich. Well, that's not Texas style and it took a bit to get it sliced but they did. The brisket was good, well seasoned but a little on the dry side. However, nothing wrong with the taste. Thought I'd order some BBQ from here cause they delivered and I did not want to make the trip out to pick up other places I usually go. Boy was I was punished for my laziness. I mean it was slightly less than ok. Reminds me of when you have that all day family bbq and at the end of the night there's still some ribs and brisket that has been out all day is dry but not disgusting. If you drown it in sauce it sort of helped but could not help the overcooked dried out edges. Gave them one star because the meats came separately and was not all mixed which was good. One very generous star cause I did not lose a tooth chewing it and was able to eat most of it. Best was the smoked Turkey, worst the pork ribs. Cannot say I will try them again. Here's to hoping some other BBQ places start using delivery services. [Update] Well I emailed the support email address as per the response and did not hear back from them. 12/26/18: 4.0 out 5 - For all intent and purpose, I am looking at the food and taste through the perspective as being "mall food". Dickey's Barbeque Pit has been at the Clackamas Town Center ongoing 9 months. In my honest opinion, the food is tasty considering it was a little pass 7 PM. It was unfortunate that Dickey's sold out of the ribs and chicken. However, the Pulled Pork, Brisket, Turkey, and the Jalapeno Cheddar Kielbasa along with the Creamed Spinach, Mac & Cheese, and cornbread filled me well. As for the service of the staff, I got great, friendly service and it was attentive. They were quick to answer our questions. What more can you ask for at the mall food court? Food was buss! Asian guy and Mexican guy working together they had amazing service! I mean off the charts and on top of that food came out quick, hot, and delicious! I think we ordered the food wrong but it somehow came out cheaper than we expected, about $10-$15 less, so they know how to put you on deals to make the experience even more fantastic. The Ribs were great, this time. Came later in the day and know this makes it tougher to get fresh succulent ribs but these at about 6pm were great, brisket was dry, not so good, but earlier would probably be better. Pass this one by. We ordered sandwiches and two sides to go. I ordered pulled pork, salad, baked potato casserole. Sandwich was TINY and meat was dry. Nothing else in sandwich but dry meat. Salad had no dressing. Baked potato casserole was like mashed potatoes but bland. Hubby ordered turkey breast sandwich. It had bread and a couple slices of dry turkey on it. Nothing else. He asked for coleslaw and mac and cheese for his sides. He got potato salad and mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was super salty. Ordered for delivery and the food arrived promptly, missing the rolls. Ordered at 5pm on a Thursday, so I wasn't expecting substitutions. Replaced sliced brisket with sliced chicken rather than the chopped brisket (we did order chopped brisket so it wasn't out). Seemed like a poor choice. They were also out of waffle fries. Fries? Really? Substituted that for potato casserole. Another odd choice because potato salad is much more common. Anyway, turkey was really good, ribs were tender but bland. Chopped meats were dry (chicken, pork, and brisket). Potato casserole is just mashed potatoes, bbq beans were good, and mac and cheese was really creamy (tasted like Reser brand, which we love). Dry overcooked brisket and ribs. Dickey's doesn't seem to care that they messed up the meat. Tried the brisket, ribs, and smoked turkey. The meat wasn't very warm. And when I complained that the brisket was dry, the server made excuses and didn't seem to care that I was dissatisfied. As I finished my ribs, some of which had turned out to be hard and dry like jerky, I began to compose the review that I would be writing. The mac and cheese is good for a 3 year old, but leaves much to be desired. What they did right: The smoked turkey was the best of the meat we sampled, very moist and flavorful. The potato salad, beans and potato casserole were yummy. Every meal comes with a Texas size drink. It's perfect for dry meat on your plate. read more

When I visited on 12/28, I arrived to pick up an online order at the specified pickup time. The order had not even been started. The girl working was very nice about this and started preparing the order right away. At first, it looked like there was just the one girl staffing the entire restaurant, including food prep and running the register. After several minutes another man came out from the back to help with the order prep. He was only wearing a plastic face shield and eye goggles, instead of a face mask. This does nothing to protect from germs when employees are standing directly above the food they are preparing. He also was not wearing gloves while touching food, including grabbing a dinner roll off a tray to package up for our order. I would have appreciated seeing quite a lot more care taken to health measures given the current pandemic. This makes me hesitant to return to this location. That said, both the employees were really nice, worked quickly to get the order done, and double checked the receipt to make sure nothing was left out. read more

Recently I heard that humans have been cooking meat over fire for more than 900,000 years. If that's true, Dickey's needs a trip back in time to learn a few things about barbecue. The meats were dry and tired, overly salty and the sauce was completely absent. One presumes it was forgotten, as we had ordered delivery. Now in our current times, I expect delivery to be excellent, and it usually is, so this was a super disappointment. That said, the food was totally edible, my husband liked his pulled pork quite a bit-I had pork ribs, already complained about those. The sides were good, although since this is a National chain, everything had a nice corporate amount of sugar in it. I won't recommend Dickey's to anyone, nor would I order from there again, but the food was edible, the service was lousy, we didn't get what we ordered and the only explanation was a greasy note that said "sorry" stuck in the bag. No kidding, they really did. Once again, lesson learned, DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM CORPORATE CHAIN RESTAURANTS! You will more than likely be disappointed. Next time, Clay's smokehouse, Reo's ribs, anywhere but Dickey's. read more

We happened upon this new gem in Lk O. The owner is really nice and the barbecue here is amazing!! We had the brisket and pulled pork - both were delicious. Generous portions of meat and the sweet sauce is over the top. The baked potato casserole and the Mac and cheese were good but unless you like really peppery green beans I'd pass on those. We will for sure be back to try the chicken and ribs - it's definitely worth the trip. read more

Very good food and excellent service and great prices and very friendly staff and i will give the price amount score in the money spend will worth every penny spent out of 5($$$$$) rare 5$ is too much and 1$ well you get the point. I'm very familiar with our seviced based industry and would not post an unfavorable feedback unless it truly warranted one. With that being said, here are the opportunities I see needing immediate attention at this location. I placed my order using your app. The navigation was easy enough. Here are some opportunities with regard to tech. Your app has no feedback for survey. It's nice you can select the date and time of pick up. Sad those times are not meant when you arrive at the designated time. Lacks adjusted time notice for delay through the app. The app gives the impression you will see your order progress through a process until delivered to customer. This was not the case. The app only mentioned your order was received when first submitted. Never did the app confirm your order was picked up. How would your app handle of stock. Sorry this location is currently out of this item, or is it taught to employees fi key the customer know when they pick up the item???? While I appreciate the opportunity to visit the new location at clacksmas town center, I was disappointed at every level as a first time customer. The order was for a family pack with chicken and sliced brisket. 3 sides, 6 rolls. What we received was 1 chicken, 3 sides, no rolls. Sadly my son didn't check the order before leaving. Nor did we relize the rolls were missing until I returned home the second time. I was not able to contact the location by phone. I got a mailbox full message. When I drove back to get the brisket, they attempted to quickly crorrect this. I thought they checked my order as they were looking at multiple receipts papers. They started to question amongst themselves as if I was trying to cheat them. I reminded them no one would drive all the way back down to a mall, find a place to park to steal food, they had already paid for. Quick apology, accidents do happen, and turned to the 2 customers ordering food. No comp offered, a discount coupon, nothing. Silly me, I didn't check the box and recieved chopped, not sliced brisket. Shouldn't there be some expectation, they would check the mistake and make sure they get it right there second time? Perhaps they were out of stock on sliced brisket and just not telling anyone? By the time I had returned home, keeping in mind our order submit time was 4:35, it was close to 6:30pm. My family waited for my return and everyone ate cold food, missing the rolls and very disappointed with the potatoe casserole, mac n cheese sides. I had lost my appetite and least bit interested in eating cold food. Packaging: I appreciate the use of biodegradable containers, however im not sure they are the correct ones. The food items leaked and the bag was starting to tear. App option: the use of none for pickles and onions might be a valuable cost saving feature. Based on the other reviews of this location, this is a continuing issue with missing items on take out orders. I can't emphasize enough, if this is a challenge for this location and possibly other locations, you are missing a big gap in customer satisfaction. Either, 1 no longer offer take out offering via mall locations through your app or put some reporting measures in place to track this failure in your customer experience. With take out options being a leading and growing industry trend, your company will not retain customers using this service if stop gap measures aren't put in place. If I could give a zero review I would. I ordered through Delivery Dash. They first called to say they were out of chicken and made me pick another meet. The order delivers but the family size maybe feeds 2 not even close to worth the $50. They didn't deliver the waffle fries I ordered, which was the only thing my daughter wanted as she doesn't eat meat. I called back and she said their location doesn't have a fryer and they have told the delivery service that. . . .as if its the delivery services fault. She could have said that when she called me to say they have no chicken but at that point i would have rather canceled the order. She took no ownership and didn't even try to make it right. had seen signs in the food court at Clackamas Town Center a few weeks ago that Dickey's would be opening a location there, and I was really looking forward to it. I've been to several other Dickey's locations and I like them a lot. Well, hooray, I was at the mall today and that Dickey's was finally open. My two favorite BBQ meats are pork spareribs and beef brisket so their Two Meat Plate with my choice of two meats and two sides was the perfect item to order. Along with the ribs and brisket, I chose Green Beans and Creamed Spinach for my sides. . .choosing two 'green vegetables' in hopes of having a somewhat balanced diet to offset all that meat. OK, both meats had a nice smoky flavor and were pretty tasty. However, they were both just a tad bit dry, without the ideal moistness. . .but that was just a minor distraction, since I still enjoyed my meal. I figure maybe THIS particular batch just turned out a bit dry and that's no big deal. . .I still like Dickey's so I'll try them again. read more
