Who can heat up sysco the best, in a world where businesses buy pre cooked food its pretty sad when you fail at doing that. The brisket was dry and bland, pulled pork was cold and tasted only like salt, the sides were a joke over cooked misleading and 0 thought or care was put into them. The service was outright disrespectful, I wasnt expecting much and was left overwhelmingly disappointed. I peeked into the back and was a little shocked to find 1 woman making everything by herself, I get it hiring is tough but she looked to be spread so thin that she had no choice but to serve us slop though the rude attitude and the comments I could hear from the kitchen were disgusting behavior. A new favorite for a quick barbecue spot! Mar 2025 First time visit to Dickey's Barbecue. We were pleasantly surprised, restaurant was nice and clean, service was prompt and friendly. We ordered a delicious 3 meat and 2 side dinner. Pork, beef and chicken plus a potato salad and baked beans. Food was served quickly, decent sized portions and sauce was very yummy with just a touch of heat. The chicken was our least favorite only cuz it seemed a lil dry after it cooled down. Worst service ever. Had a holiday lunch catered for 150 homeless folks. I ordered a Mac and cheese bar and they showed up with Mac and cheese sour cream butter and chives, obviously for a potato bar. I ordered delivery for my Son-in-law for his birthday today, and another meal for my daughter so they could eat together. We drove 30 mins to get here so it was all perfect timing. The only thing missing from this order is some baked beans that we ordered. The total cost was $50. That IS EXPENSIVE. this portion? pretty little to be honest. And the cherry on top is they said the order would've been ready at 8:45. i arrived at the exact time and we got straight to eating. The issue is that the food was COLD! How did they say order for pickup would be ready at this time and all of the food is cold? It's because and This is me assuming: THE FOOD IS ALL MICROWAVED. Clearly, they probably just half cook their meats and then fully cook it for when it's ready. Maybe all the beans are microwaved. Idk, but clearly this $50 worth of an order was NOT WORTH IT. I've been coming here for years. I've stopped coming because the last few visits have been disappointing. Today was no different. The brisket was really dry and did not have that BBQ flavor. The sweet tea was NOT sweet and it tasted more like Lipton than Texas sweet tea. The size of the side has shrunk and is half the size it was. There was a good amount of meat on the bread, but again it was so dry I could not finish it. There is no soft serve machine here. Sadly, I think this is my last visit here. It's not southern bbq from a legit place in South Carolina or anything like that so I'm rating it against other chain non fast food restaurants. The meat is well cooked, tastes great and can be cut with a fork for the most part. The sides are good too. All good for this level of food. The rolls are fine but not amazing. I went and asked the "manager" about these issues and he just told me that it's the same amount of potatoes so I shouldn't complain. Short attitude to the point I got frustrated and asked for a return and sent that food back. Definitely won't be back! Ordered ribs and brisket. Both were very, very dry. Asked for extra sauce and what they gave us was still woefully short - about 1/3 of a cup for a full rack of ribs and 1/2lb of brisket. Didn't catch that until we got home and it's too far to go back. There was zero smoke flavor or "char" on either protein. I'm pretty sure these meats never saw an open flame, smoke or a grill. For a BBQ joint, this is not a good thing. The 2 guys working were both okay. Nothing special there but nothing bad either. The 1 and only thing this place has going for it is the "original" sauce. This location recently opened for BREAKFAST at 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and boy-howdy did they knock it outta tha ballpark with some Brisket & Eggs Benedict!! You will not get a better deal cost wise!!! I ordered 2 sides plus coffee. Everything was fantastic - coffee not weak and the hash potatoes were fresh cut and fried (not greasy in the least!) I called back to Dickeys and the first thing the girl told me there was nothing she could do about it and she told me they had it on camera that they gave me my order I know they could see they handed me the bag, but they couldn't see what was in the bag and she kept telling me that they gave me the order and I had to bring my bag back and show them I don't even live close to the location For her to keep telling me she couldn't do anything about it was wrong. Came here for dinner because my daughter and I were in the mood for bbq. We could've went down the street to the bbq restaurant, but lately it has disappointed us. Upon entering we were greeted immediately. The place was clean and the menu looked good. I got the chicken breast meat plate. It came with sliced chicken breast, two sides which i picked out coleslaw and baked beans . It also came with a slice of Texas toast. Everything was delicious! The chicken was tender and the beans and coleslaw were great. A lady from the kitchen came out to check on us and to make sure we were enjoying our meal.
