We were craving burgers and saw this place on the drive home so we decided to try it out. This is a typical burger place with an "older" diner aesthetic. We ordered 1 Double Bacon Burger ($11.79) + Onion Ring Combo ($5.69), 1 Cheeeesy Burger ($10.29), and 1 Regular Bacon Cheese Fries ($5.39). Total came out to $35.73 before tip. I do feel like the burgers are a bit small for the price but they tasted amazing and were also made fresh in front of us so I believe it's worth the price. Super flavorful and everything just melts in your mouth. The onion rings were delicious, definitely the best I've ever had. I enjoyed the fries as well but I did expect more bacon and cheese on the fries. However, Cheeeesy Burger was quite salty so I was fine with the amount of cheese and bacon presented on the fries. We did not wait long for our food either. We ordered around 5:20PM and everything was done by 5:34PM. The employee that helped us was Ausaf and he was by himself cooking but got everything out very quickly. Overall, this has become our top burger place. I've been telling everyone about it since my visit. We did also visit again after because of how great the food is here. I totally recommend if you're looking to try something new. read more

My family and I stopped at Wayback Burgers while in Roseville for a birthday party. The inside was clean with plenty of tables. We ordered the Double Bacon Burger, a Chicken Bacon Ranch Lettuce Bowl and a side of Fries. I liked the Lettuce Bowl, but I remember wishing it had more protein in it - it was only about a small handful of chicken. My husband liked his burger and the Cajun Tater Tots he added on the side. They offer their signature burgers plus chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, cheesesteaks and even sides like chili cheese tots and Irish Nachos. Their Milkshakes looked good too! Staff were friendly - it seemed to be owned and ran by a family. There seemed to be a hiccup with their payment machine when we were ordering our food, but they got it sorted out pretty quickly. Visited the Cave and after spending way too much time there I was famished. Drove around looking at all the food options, somehow ended up at Wayback. Ordered the Steakhouse Burger, tots, fried cheese curds, onion rings, and fried pickles. And the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake. The burger was tangy, delicious, and perfectly greasy as it should be. All the sides were amazing, especially the fried pickles (which I had to be uncomfortably patient to wait to eat because they come out HOT)! As for the shake, I mean, it was good to gulp in between snarfs of food, but I was so focused on the food that I couldn't finish the shake. Next time I'll get a coke instead. The music that was playing brought back memories of my childhood (my kids would not enjoy but they have headphones to block it out). read more

We stopped here after fueling up at the Costco. This Waybacknis next TU the Turner's Outdoor sporting goods store. I mention this because Way ack does not have a lighted sign that you can see at night. Service was prompt and courteous. My daughter ordered a buffalo chicken burger. My classic came with double patties and cheese, and a full stack of condiments. The photo tells all. It was a solid burger. Upper quartile for me but not the very best. Hard to pin down why. That said, not disappointed and I finished it. My daughter really liked the Buffalo Chicken, and so did I (she let me have a bite). Tender, juicy and a lot of flavor from the sauce. The fries were very good. Once again, upper quartile. Hot, crisp outside, tender inside and fresh tasting. The place is very neat and clean. My husband and I went here for the first time last night. We thought it was closed as there were no customers inside. But we have been wanting to try it, so we dined inside. The burgers and fries were delicious! I'm wondering if the bad reviews were delivered and not eaten fresh? I know several door dashers picked up meals while we ate. The service was excellent, brought to our table and we were asked a couple times if we needed anything and if we liked it. The food was super hot and fresh, the meat wasn't those frozen meat disks, but nicely seasoned and the patties were large. The garlic fries were excellent and crispy on the outside. Tried this place 30 mins ago on 12-13-2024, got the bourbon burger. Menu doesn't say what's on it but looked like meat, cheese, onion rings and a sauce. I asked what the bourbon sauce was and he said it has a bourbon sweet sauce. Sounded great, I've had all kinds of bourbon sauces that were sweet or bbq-based. Got the burger, drove off down the 65, open it up and take a bite. Mustard. I hate mustard. I don't remember a time where a bourbon burger had mustard. He put so much it was on everything. For the burger itself, the pictures are wildly misleading, the burger patty resides well inside the bun. The size is about what in-n-out has and they are about $6 with fresh produce. So, they really should have the name of the burger as something either saying mustard or the word yellow because that sauce is not common at all for a "bourbon" burger. The place was dead overall, I was the only one there. Would I return? No. If I got a non-mustard burger for the price or $12.87 I'd look elsewhere as that price just is too much for not enough. read more

Me and my mom went here, possibly 2 to 3 years ago it was late one night and service was slow. Food wasn't bad but maybe it was just a late night so yesterday, I decide to go here by myself and get I guess the classic double cheeseburger had pretty much everything on it which was fine tasted decent fries were not that good and after a minute, my stomach had other plans. I threw up a few minutes later and the fact that I had to give the guy a dollar for maybe change that's an absolute zero for me. Since it is national burger day, we went into Wayback for their five dollar special. Although we live near this restaurant, we had never been before tonight. We were extremely impressed! The guy who took our order was very nice but the guy who was preparing our burger was really impressive. He was double checking our order since I had changed it up a bit after ordering it. He was super friendly and thorough. What a great employee! It took awhile for us to get our burgers, but it was $5 day and they had a lot of online and walk-in orders, so it was to be expected. Never heard of this place until a couple of my Muslim friends suggested we eat here after a hike at Auburn Park. I felt clean & whole after eating a Philly Cheesesteak that was Halal, so I know it can't be a coincidence. The fries were good too. Everything hit the spot. It seemed like they had a limited crew there on a rainy day, so it took a little longer to get out order ready than the average wait time at fast food restaurant, but not an unreasonable amount of time. The ambiance was pretty warm & family friendly and it was spacious enough in there. I highly recommend anyone who enjoys high quality burgers & healthy fast food to give it a try. I replied "yes" and Tahjay explained the benefits and features of Wayback Burgers. I was amazed on the menu and selection. I made my choice of Tahjays recommendation and OOOOMMMMGGEEEE food porn at its best. My family and I came here for lunch today. Service was very good. They gave us a military discount on our meal. We got a A-1 burger meal, bourbon bacon burger meal and the cheeeesy burger meal. All burgers were very good and had a great cheese pull. The burgers were not greasy like some places can be.
