I was directed to the Menu on the wall board. 1 chopped beef sandwich 1/4 lb $7.99 - oh but they charged $1.00 to chop it so $8.99. CST $25.26 for 2 above mentioned sandwiches, 1 drink, 1 1.5 oz chip. The young cashier asked if I wanted to add a tip- or I could add a tip while checking out. I thought for what? II got the three meat plate with Ribs, Turkey and Sausage. The meat was amazingly fresh and full of flavor. For the sides I got Green Beans and mac and cheese. Both were hot and fresh. I wish I had purchased an extra roll as I only got 1 with my meal. The owner was there and he had just purchased the store not long ago. He was super friendly and I really enjoyed his conversation. I was so looking forward to having some BBQ but man did I mess up eating here. I Door Dashed a 3-meat plate with what I thought was baked poatoe casserole and beans and a side of okra. What I got was the worst looking mashed potatoes ever, Mac and cheese and the okra. OK, I can make do right? Wrong, the flavor of the sides was beyond bad and the meats (ribs, sliced brisket and sausage) had NO flavor!! Didn't even taste like BBQ. First time ever coming to this location,, it's Christmas Eve at 3:35pm. I walk in and the customer in front of me is trying to communicate his order he made around noon was messed up and he didn't get all of his order. The employee behind the counter has an attitude with him. The customer states that the employee attitude should be looked into. The guy then replies, "well this is the owner right here if you want to complain about me to him ". The owner and I locked eyes and he just stood there staring at me. I said,,, wow is this really going on right now with me standing right here??? The employee said "well!!" And then thought better to make a comment. I stood in silence for a minute and no one said a word. So I said I'm not even going to order anything. And walked out!! I have managed places before and I can tell you this,, I would not allowed a customer to leave like that without me stopping them and apologizing for the mishap and making sure they were taken care of. One of the best bbq I have had. The sides were also very tasty. I ordered the 3-meat plate in order to try out the different variety that they had, and I am not disappointed in that. Overall: I wish the portions would be slightly bigger but it's not really a big deal. Food is very good, and if you're planning to use Arrowhead Delivery, the delivery fee is $5.99, and it will take them about 25-30 minutes to deliver. The absolute worst bbq I have ever had in my life. Pretty sure the sausage had gone bad and was still served to us. It went straight in the trash wouldn't even give it to my dogs. I think you could get better pulled pork if you got the frozen stuff from Wal mart. To top it all off they wouldn't except a gift card. A legit gift card with there logo on it and they can't except it? Really!! Have no idea how place is in business. What a shame you call yourselves bbq in this great state of Texas. I thought meh BBQ would get you kicked out of Texas. I guess not. I'm not sure why I was expecting more so I'll be generous on the stars. I had jalapeño cheddar sausage and sliced brisket. Sausage was pretty good but that wasn't cheddar. It was closer to typical American processed stuff. The brisket was dry and not smoky at all. Probably made yesterday sometime and reheated. Sides were good. BBQ beans were tasty and fried okra is always good. It's food and it wasn't expensive so it'll get you full. read more

I ordered a smoked turkey from Dickey's about a month ago. Picked it up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I noticed on the way out that the turkey said Members Mark on it which is the Samsclub brand. After looking at it when we got home it was obvious that nothing had been done to it. It was still in the original plastic webbing. The price on it was $24.00 and i paid $57.00 for the turkey. On a side note the turkey was delicious. I think the meat portion of the meal could have been more but ..I could not eat it all so excited about my left overs. This is the he worst bbq place that I had ever went to. We came in from San Antonio to visit my daughter and son-in-law.. my daughter who's working near by and only had 30min lunch. Dickey is the only place that was close to go to.. there is 4 adults and 2 kids.. the whole place was empty. We are the only people in there.. well the problem is they treated us so rudely. The way they took the order and the way they looked at us.. they would not acknowledge me when I asked a question.. don't know if I was Asian or my son-in-law who is black.. don't know if it is race or they just have a natural attitude.. if they are the owner of this business, and want to do better, I suggest they change their attitudes.. food was ok nothing special..I had been to many much better bbq places with great attitude..I am so up set with the treatment. Never again!!! What really funny to all this is on my way home to San Antonio, I discovered that my credit card was not giving back to me. I had to call my daughter to go and get it. I had called the restaurant up. The gentleman told me that he had tried to called my card company and let them know that I had left my card.. I informed him that I didn't leave it.. it was not handed back to me.. we where there at least 30 minutes to eat ours food and no one comes out and give it back.. now I really wonder if being Asian had anything to do with all this. Terrible. If I had visited the restroom first, before I ordered, to see that there was no hand soap, I would have walked out then. They were out of just about everything, and only had canned coke to drink. Pulled pork was only warm, and sliced brisket was wrapped up in little servings and stored in a little warmer case. My only recommendation would be to close this location. Really makes the other Dickey's locations look bad. read more

Because it's a bbq chain in Texas, Dickey's feels a bit out of place, but it is by far the most convenient of all the bbq options in town if you're just looking to grab and go, and so I've been frequenting it quite a bit in the last two months. I enjoy Dickey's because they keep all their sauces warm, and they have waffle fries that would make Chick Fil A cry (and I'm all about Chick Fil A crying). Their brisket lacks the smokey flavor I expect from good brisket, but their ribs, pulled pork, and polish sausage are all satisfying options. Service is fast and friendly, and their Big Yellow Cup is my favorite of all the 32 oz. restaurant cups, precisely because it's big and yellow. Bottom line: if you want quick, convenient bbq served with some mighty fine waffle fries, pop into Dickey's. read more

Staff was extremely welcoming, friendly and professional, great people. I've been to other Dickey's before that have been very fast paced had an ok taste but I was really impressed with this family owned location and the taste of everything. My pulled pork sandwich hit the spot and the waffle fries were cooked/seasoned perfectly. Pricing is fair so you get your monies worth unlike other locations. So far this has been the best barbecue I've had in the Wichita Falls area. I will definitely be recommending this place to others as well as stopping by regularly for a good quick bite to eat with my family. read more

Not a Dickey's I'm used to. I've been to a few Dickey's and this one is definitely not up to the standards of Dickey's. Ordered the 2 meat combo. Brisket was really fatty and cold. Same with the Pulled Pork. No smoke flavor and also cold. The usual waffle fries were not given. I got crinkle cut fries. Revived no bread and all but one soda was out. The staff was one guy serving meat and one girl doing the register. The guy was a bit rude and was constantly leaving the building to sit in his car. The girl was friendly and had to keep going outside to get him when a customer would show up. He'd come back in tell people they were out of just about everything and serve the cold stuff he had. Not a good place and Dickey's should really pull the plug on this franchise because it does no justice for the other ones I've been too. read more

Went in tonight with higher expectations of service than what I received. When I first walked in the female that was running the register seemed like she was annoyed that another costumer walked in and she had to get up from her seat in the dining area. There was a male making the order of the person in front of me. He also seemed annoyed but when he did speak to me after about a good 4/5 minutes he was letting me know he would be right with me and was polite. It was just a different vibe than what I am used to from your establishment. I over heard from the female worker as she told the person in front of me they were out of about 6 different sides, thankfully it was in earshot and I could pick what sides I wanted from the limited selection that was available before she even asked me about my sides because she didn't feel the need to inform me. All this is fine, I understand we all have off days but what REALLY got under my skin other than this little stuff is the amount or lack of food I received when I paid atleast $13 for a 2 meat plate!! It was in a child's container!!! Wth!?!?! Not to mention the potato salad side had egg shells all in it. I could have taken a picture of that but would rather not post a picture of my spit from spitting it out. I attached a picture of a bbq plate I went and got right after stopping here just so I could eat a decent meal. The picture is from the other bbq place and that's with me taking atleast 7/10 bites from it and it was only $8! I placed an order for 2 XL family packs for a luncheon at our office. Each XL family pack is supposed to feed 8 people, so there should have been enough food for 16. When we got the food it looked like it would serve at the most 10 people. I called the restaurant and they said they had sent the wrong order and would send the food they owed us. An hour later (and several people who were still waiting on their food) I called the restaurant back and they said that they had sent the correct amount of food. I guess if each guest was 6 years old, rather than grown adults it probably would have been enough. Rather than argue I thanked them for their time and hung up, knowing that I will never order from them again. Obviously the customer isn't always right, especially with this restaurant. read more

Where do I begin. I'm all about giving second chances, so that's what I did for Dumb Dickeys. That's how I will refer to them, Dumb Dickeys. After a bad experience months ago, my family and I decided to give them a try again last weekend. Pulled up for curbside service and I was the only car in the parking lot and it took over 25 minutes to bring the order out. We ordered ribs, they were out of ribs. How are you out of ribs on a Sat night at 630? So we substituted sliced brisket. After checking the order when we got home, we were missing rolls, pickles, onions, and we were still charged for the ribs! Tried calling the store for 15 minutes to resolve, but no answer. My husband drove to the store to talk to someone. He was very calm and tried to resolve and give them a chance to fix the problem before we wrote a review. The young man that my husband spoke with gave excuses that they were busy. Again, no one was in the parking lot. He said that corporate would have to handle the refund since it was an online order, which was fine, but still no one has contacted us. He ran back inside to get some coupons for our next visit. Again, we waited, and waited for someone to come out. Finally the young man came out and went to his car to leave, my husband said, excuse me sir, where are our coupons. "Oh I thought the other girl brought them out" Wow. Someone needs to check up on the management at this location if they have any chance to stay in business. read more

I decided to give them another try today as I was in the area and my son was craving BBQ. They now offer daily lunch specials(posted a pic so you can see what it is before you go). Today's special was the westerner with pulled pork and sausage with a side and drink for $8. This is a really good deal when you compare the prices on the menu, looks like I saved almost $4. The sandwich was so big it had to be cut in half. It came with cheese, onions and pickles but they ask if you want them so you can decide against them if you wish. The meat was very good and the original sauce was an improvement over the sweet sauce I tried last time. I had the waffle fries as my side and they were perfectly cooked, I prefer them a little crispy and they were just the way I like them. Give them a try if you are in the area for lunch, the specials are a good value and are available from 11-2. They also offer two mini hoagies for $5 between 2 and 5 I believe. I could be wrong on the times so call before you go. They also offer free kids meals on Sunday. read more

Was traveling from Amarillo to Oklahoma earlier today and decided to give this place a try. The brisket was good as well as the potato salad and macaroni and cheese. We ate at Dicky's for the first time in a while. What happened? Almost everything we ordered they were out of. The girl kept saying, "We are expecting a truck."
