Exactly as the name says Last Resort. It was the only thing open still taking customers late so we decided to try it. I understand the rude and raunchy atmosphere and was cool with it, but not appropriate if you have little kids. My issue was that the food just was not good. Easily one of worst meals I've had. Chicken breast was thin and gave kid's school lunch. The chili was obviously canned. The burger gave frozen, old, reheated. The tots even tasted terrible. Way too overpriced for the quality of food received. I did enjoy the Sucker Punch drink, it was the best thing I had. read more

We were a group of nine and one of our friends sweared by this place's unique experience and we were all excited for it. However I haven't had a worse experience thus far. We came in all ready for the rude experience, but there was absolutely no effort to give us that experience. The server would only come in 30s bursts, and despite being such a big group, we got no attention what so ever. Apart from an occasional sly or comment, nothing represented what the restaurant promised. The chef was probably the rudest with the worst burgers I have had and oiliest fries. Dick's Last Resort. The only place where paying someone to verbally slap you around is considered a "dining experience" and not just a bad date. Let's start with the food. I went with the Black and Blue Burger, which, as a guy who usually avoids blue cheese like I owe it money, was actually phenomenal. The spicy blue cheese paired so well with the burger that It has made me change my opinion on blue cheese.... Maybe. And the fries? Crispy, perfectly salted, and most importantly, not stolen by my family since everyone got them. Speaking of my family, my wife and daughter both had the Bacon Cheddar Burger, ans agreed with me that the burger flavor was great. Meanwhile, my daughter's boyfriend had some kind of chicken dish that I can't remember the name of (Dollys Something) but was two chicken breasts. Even though I can't remember the name he said it was good and didn't require a knife to cut. So, solid win there. Now, let's talk about our server, Kelsea. Normally, the whole "we're gonna be rude to you" gimmick at places like this can feel as natural as a scripted reality show. But Kelsea? She was golden. She had just the right mix of sarcasm and charm like if your best friend roasted you at your wedding but in a way that made you laugh instead of reconsider all your life choices. The only reason I don't give it five stars is the price. Looking at most of the menu it felt a little on the pricier side. Final verdict? This was easily one of our favorite stops of the trip. Huge thanks to Dicks Last Resort (pigeon Forge) for let me walk in and take on their legendary Big Dicks Meat Challenge. The steaks were cooked to a near perfect medium rare. The rest of the food, including 12" loaded dog, nacho plate, mashed potatoes, broccoli and a salad were all pretty good too. Staff seamed excited when I ordered it and manager came to converse with me and wish me luck. Talked about the current record held by Raina Hung at about 28:30. During the meal, I kept feeling encouraged by staff despite the ever present culture of attitude. Long story short, I completed the challenge 26:53 (new location record?) Free shirt of choice, meal competed and a big hooray from staff and patrons. Everything was great, waitress wasn't TOO rough on the kids, lol, just enough to keep everybody engaged. In fact my only complaint, and maybe it was unavoidable or on purpose, was that I wish my meal had come out first, so I could have started and the rest of my table didn't have to wait much for me to finish. read more

We stopped in for a drink. They don't have much of a beer selection, plus prices are quite high. This is not a place I would frequent. I got a Yuengling and paid a hefty price, just to keep the glass and be insulted. Our server was good and after other patrons left, he was nice to chat with. I wish I could give Dick's five stars. Maybe I had my expectations too high. I planned to buy a shirt to take home, but they were out of shirts completely. They were also out of the souvenir glasses to keep when you purchased a cocktail, so we received our drinks in fashionable plastic cups. Our server, Shelby, was great, the environment was great, the food was great. We ordered cheese sticks (they were ), Mac and cheese, a bacon cheeseburger and the steak salad. If you aren't easily offended (AKA if you have a good sense of humor) and have a little extra money, as the prices weren't the cheapest, then you really should stop in here to check it out, you'll be sure to laugh. PS. There were a couple of tables there while we were there that were lame as hell. The manager is a liar and did not live up to his word about seating. Then when called out he asked me to leave. Which I had a party of 16 and lost out on $1000 worth of meal and tips. Will never go back go back to any Dicks again because of him. If he would have cooperated and not counted a baby as a person seated on a lap then we could have made it work. But he does not work or want to be flexible with anyone he has just lost a loyal customer. Owner just replied and again lied to the owner and said there wasn't a communication. Let be very clear. He said 14 people fit at the table very comfortably. We had 13 adults and teenagers with a baby, that was sitting on her mom's lap, and we didn't fit at the table. He did not know his tables and when I put in the reservation on yelp I put 15 people and they still sat us. The only miscommunication is the manager is a liar. We went across the way to Timberwood and got seated immediately and our meal $575 dollars before tip. I tipped the waitress $100 myself plus people left $50 cash. That manager is losing your money and cost the waiter money as well. As a business owner if he worked for me I would have a serious talk and possibly put him on notice. read more

The food is okay. But when you visit this place, I feel like it's not for the food but for the experience you get with it. The waiters and waitresses play mean- just like the restaurant, they're paid to be Dicks. Now if you go in with a family and have kids, they usually a bit milder. But if you're there with a group of friends (especially over say 18) they WILL be mean and it's so funny if that's the experience. They'll throw straws at you and napkins and you get hats made specifically for you. This would be my 2nd time at this one specifically. And I've been to Gatlinburg's once. Again, food is very pricey. Family and I were shopping at the island and decided to go to a restaurant. The manager made it very clear we couldn't say the b- word but called my family and I the b-word 4 times. They gave us hats, they were funny but some are more inappropriate than others. Food was ok, very expensive! Total was over $200! The was very dirty and had napkins everywhere. This is a place where you go for the entertaining insults, not the food. Brought my teens and the server asked for everyone's age. Later he came back with age appropriate jokes written on hats for us to wear during our meal. My 17 year old son's hat read "I'm the reason we can't keep lotion in the house." This place was terrible. It took us about 15 minutes to get seated for a large party of 11 around 9 AM. That was the best part of the dining experience. The wait to be seated is why they get one star. If you've never been to Dicks last resort, don't be surprised when you walk in. The floors are filthy, the waiters and waitresses are rude, and there are napkins everywhere. That is the aesthetic of the place and honestly it makes it pretty fun. Shortly after arrival we were seated upstairs and our dining experience began. The food took about an hour, and all of us got basic finger foods. The Dicks appetizer platter was terrible & so we're the macho nachos. I hated the fried pickles, the wings were extra chewy and the chicken tenders were dry as the Sahara desert. Our nachos were pretty bare and all the queso was at the bottom. Overall the restaurant is cool and filled with crude humor, so it's a little funny at times but I would never go back. The party size was 20, so unfortunately they had no choice but to order from the limited "group" menu... only complaint across the board. Such a fun place! My daughter wanted to come here for her 18th bday and they did not disapoint! Peacock was pur waitress and she was so funny. We checked in online with yelp and didn't have to wait long at all. The food is not the best I've ever had, but it was decent. They even had a vegan burger for my mom. My friends and I came here as one of our friends' were getting married the next day. She didn't want to go out drinking as much as she wanted some fun low key entertainment. So we came to Dick's, I've been to several other locations so I was familiar with what to expect. Overall, the service was decent, we had a couple drinks and all ordered an entree. This is definitely not the place to come to eat healthy as nearly everything is fried. The food was mediocre as to why the rating, also, upon checking in on yelp, you get a free fried pickle appetizer, which I showed to the waitress and she didn't end up removing that from our bill, so this is what reflects my rating for this establishment. I'd be back for some laughter and drinks but I wouldn't care to eat here again. read more
