Although they say there is no time limit for returns, there certainly is (according to corporate mgmt). However, no where in their pamphlet, store, or receipt does it say in writing that you cannot return anything (even new with receipt) once the item is purged from their system (who knows when that is) or it has been several years old. One representative told me that they would not be able to resell old (but unused) items due to parts like shoe glue in my case (Nike shoes). But that goes with anything they sell so that's a poor answer. So buyer beware! Not just this store. All Big 5 locations have the same "lame" misleading return policy under corporate executives. They need to update their policy and customer service big time. And they need to put all the disclaimers etc. on paper especially the receipts. It doesn't help even if you are a loyal customer for several years either.

There were 3 employees at the register counter, no customers. They said they had no size 15, but there was a guy standing off to the side and he said "You're probably going to have to order on line." Then he did something that doesn't happen very often anymore. He actually offered to go check stock in the back for me. Unfortunately he found only one size 15 and it wasn't my husband's type of shoe. We didn't find any shoes but I was impressed with the customer service I received.
