Service salesmanship, at first those in store were friendly and helpful; however upon checkout the young man behind counter was not helpful in the least. I had all my credit cards and Apple Pay on me that I use. Apple Pay sometimes works oddly in doing returns I found this to be true at other locations but with no trouble. This young man said he could not find the $80 chair I purchased 3 weeks earlier and would only give me $9 for the chair. I asked are you sali g the chair for $9 now he said no but that is all we are willing to give to you. I had $1000 worth of merchandise on the counter ready to purchase. I stated may I see the manager, he said he was (hard to believe) because he was willing to let the sale of all that merchandise go and not return the chair for valid amount. I walked out and stated I will not be back. And I will not even though I have a football baseball and golfer in our house. Don't ever buy extended warranty for any of the items, they won't honor it ! I purchased a bike from Eastvale store, took it back to store for issues with rear tire.. they kept the bike without doing anything for two weeks and returned it to me stating the issue is fixed. I escalated the issue to store manager and he suggested to bring the bike back to the store. There was issues with the warranty since I had lost the original receipt, customer care provided the receipt but that was not enough for the Tech . Upon talking to manager again, they wanted me raise a claim and then give the claim# to the tech. I was willing to pay the money and not take warranty, but then the tech wanted me to order the part myself and take it to the store for him to fix it . It was my first time experience, why should I order the part and take it to the store for replacement ....... what's stopping the store from ordering the part .. I went to the Eastvale location to purchase football gloves, mouthpiece, and sleeve for my granddaughter, and I was racially profiled the whole time. The same staff member said hello to me over and over and over again on three different occasions, and another female staff came immediately after that and pretended like she was checking for she was just standing there until we got our things and proceeded to the checkout line. The experience was so uncomfortable I wish I had not purchased the items. But, my granddaughter needed them for her practice. Horrible experience, I think they have a code for when a person of color shops at this location. I don't recommend this location for anyone. read more

came here to look for a shorter seat stem for my mountain bike. I need to lower the seat down. roll in here at about 8PM and walk directly to the bike section. no one is around but I guess it's late and the technician have left the day. I ask assistance from an employee who called in some help. then came Timothy who I dont believe is from the bike section. I told him my dilemma and he gave me an advice I wasn't expecting. instead of selling me something or telling me they dont carry what I'm looking for; he advised that the stem can be shorten by sawing. instead of sending me home, timothy actually offered to do it for me right there. he went beyond the call in providing great customer service. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. NEVER COME TO THIS LOCATION! Waited 2 almost three weeks to get a treadmill. First off we were in the store for 3 hours, one hour of it was just waiting to see if they had the treadmill in stock when a employee just so happened to go on his break and then something happened so they couldn't get the delivery set up, but when it came down to it they beat around the bush and got a DAMAGED treadmill then beat around the bush again and now they are trying to get us to exchange it & we won't get it for another 3 weeks, we don't want it. He was arguing with my elderly Father who has been golfing for over 45 years about the different types of clubs, etc. No apology when I called him out on it. Went to get a tennis racquet restrung and was told that they wouldn't be able to do it because the one gentleman they have to string racquets also does other things in the store. I'm sorry but if you have only one person to do a specific task why wouldn't you have them do just that task?! I even spoke to a manager at this location and he just said "sorry maybe go to the Chino location ". Overall I was excited to see this location open because it is much closer to me than the Chino location but after this experience I would rather not shop here at all or at any of their locations for that matter. I spaced this and needed to post it a week ago, sorry I have a 9 year old who plays up 10u travel baseball and he was going to a all wood bat tournament well at practice Wednesday his wood bat cracked :/ not even 30 days old with maybe 10 hits on it , bats are not cheep and this momma was stressed as we had to buy a new one now :.( I walked into Dick's in eastvale and was Greater and I had the bat that cracked in hand I asked to see the manager I explain to Destiny what happed and she agreed it was a manufacturer defect and allowed me to exchange the bat I almost cried we ended up finding a bat a bit more then the original bat in maple so the wood was stronger and went to ring up Andrew checked us out I was looking thou my phone to see if I had a coupon as I had also gotten grip and when I found it ( Forever later ) it was expired by like 2 day ‍but he honored it anyways !!! I have to say I was more then pleased and thankful to have gotten the help from there wonderful people they made my day and my sons !!! I have been shopping at Dicks sporting goods for an extremely long time. I have purchased several bats, gloves, gear at the Eastvale store since it opened. Today I went into the store to purchase a new softball bat for my daughter and asked if they anyone available to try a bat out in the hitting station. The first associate I spoke to said unfortunately we have no one available to watch the station. I said ok well I guess but then I started thinking about it, I mean Im here to potentially purchase item that cost 400-500 dollars. So I decided to ask another associate for help. The store is big and clean. Customer service is to be desired. First, when I walked in I asked an associate if they carried protective padded shorts. She had to call someone and she said they did not. This was false information! Second, I asked an associate where I can find a fitting room, he pointed, I said thank you. I continued to look around as I was not planning to jump in the fitting room right that second and a few minutes later I thought I would use it. I pressed the button as the sign instructs you to and the same associate comes and using a condescending tone says "you could have just told me you wanted to use it and I would have opened it." I ordered a pair of Nike jogger. They said they were available online to do curbside pickup so I did so. Turns out they were not available so they still charged my bank the full amount and when I called the store to ask for some help the employee that answered the phone was very rude and giving me very little feedback just to get me off the phone. I asked if he could help me find a store that has them in stock and he just directed me back to the website to find it myself. That obviously didn't work the first time because the eastvale location said that they had them in stock and turns out they didn't. I used to work at a very popular shoe store and I know it is possible to try to find a store that carries the product that the customer is looking for, whether you check online or physically call the different stores as an employee. It takes more time obviously but that's the difference between good customer service and bad customer service. read more

I looked on line to be sure this store had the bicycle tube I needed. Their website said they did. Upon arrival, it turns out they did not have the tube shown on their website, but did have the more expensive (twice the price) of what I came for. Since I had driven that far and needed the tube I bought it. I explained to the representative that it was for my "Beach Cruiser" and the size was 26x2.125. On the way out I saw a nice thermos bottle, but it did not have a price. The representative said it would need to be scanned in order to get the price as it is not marked on the bottle. As luck would have it, there was a display by the cashier with the bottle I wanted and it was marked $32.95. When the checker scanned the items the thermos scanned at $34.95. I told the cashier the price was marked $32.95 on the display and it was about 20 feet from the register so it was simple to verify. She called her manager who said the price is whatever it scans and the display doesn't matter! Well they refused to simply walk over and look at the display, so I didn't buy it. Upon arrival home I found the gentleman who helped me with the inner tube gave me the wrong one. It had the wrong type of valve stem. So another trip to exchange the tube. They did infact have the exact same tube but with the correct valve stem. Back to the cashier to finish the exchange. He scans both tubes and tells me the correct tube is an additional $8.00 I ask why the difference for the same tube and the online price is the same. The answer, you guessed it, the cashier said the computer scan says it's $8.00 more than the other one. So needless to say I have spent 3 hours going back and forth to Dick's sporting goods and ended up with nothing! The cashiers were very nice but, completely unhelpful, because of store policy or the manager, I will NEVER GO TO DICK'S SPORTING GOODS AGAIN! read more

I was just at the store on August 22nd 2019 / 3:42 pm and was truly disappointed with the staff. People just walking around not asking customer if they needed help and when I saw one employee I asked him for some help and he responded to me with what's up, like I was one of his friends or something ( Very unprofessional). So afterwards I go to the front to purchase some MMA gloves and another employee ask me to come to register 4 and when I get there a firefighter walks in about a false alarm the manager takes care of him and the employee that was suppose to be helping me just walked off without saying one word. I watched him walk to the back of the store and started helping another customer with baseball products. A young lady who works there apologized for his actions and the other customers was standing there in total disbelief as was I. I didn't make the purchase and just walked out of the store disappointed with the service and will most likely not be returning. If Eastvale Dick's sporting good store can't have more respect for their customers in the community then I will spend my money elsewhere. read more
