We tried buying online from Dicks but they don't have anything in stock. We've called a few locations within a four drive (Fresno, etc) to try to buy items they had in the store. They wouldn't let us purchase and pick up so that we knew it was still there before the drive started and we wouldn't be upset if it was sold on our way. We went to the Blossom Hill location this morning when it opened. One of the sales associates was helping us look for a few items in the back stock. When we asked to speak to the manager to see if we could buy a floor model our whole experience changed. The manager wasn't willing to help his customers willing to buy in the store in front of him. He wouldn't let us buy the floor model because he said there could be missing parts so they can't sell it. He said there's a delivery of 3 coming on Thursday. Cool. We asked him if we could pay now and pick it up when it comes in. He said no, it will be put into the system to sell online at 7am. And if it's not sold online, we can buy if still available when they open. But we can't buy now because they don't have physically in the store. He wasn't budging or try to help us with any kind of customer service or to being friendly to lighten up the fact he can't sell to us, he was just rude. 5/22 9:30am read more

I believe the gentleman named Robert answered my phone. Super friendly and welcoming. So we went out there and my daughter picked out a shoe she liked. Everyone were so nice. I can't comment on most of the store other than they have a lot of merchandise, it's clean, and it's well lit. I came here to buy 9mm and 12 gauge ammo. Prices are about what you'd expect for in-person, obviously a smarter person would have bought online, in bulk. 1 stars is because you aren't getting anything you can't get at local gun stores, and this huge chain is also anti-2nd amendment. I'm a big supporter of local businesses, and given the ridiculous anti-Constitution laws in Sunnyvale, the local guys need all the help they can get. This would be a one star review if it wasn't for Zach... Saw online that they had a punching bag set/stand that I wanted available in store. It said I could order online and have it ready to pickup within an hour at this specific location. But we live a few minutes away and wanted to pay cash so it made more sense to just go in and get it. First employee we saw was Christina V. She wouldn't even tell us where boxing equipment might be and told us we had to ask her coworker (some blond lady that wasn't wearing her name tag) if there were any punching bags available. So we wait until she's done talking with a customer and she says "no! No punching bags. We don't have any at all." And walks off. I turn back to Christina and show her how on their website it clearly shows that it is available and is there anyone else who can verify they really don't have it. She says I have to actually try to place the order and sometimes at the end it says that's it's not really available. Lame. But I go along and get all the way to about to put in payment info and it's still saying I can pick up there within an hour. Finally we found Zach. He was super helpful. I didn't even have to show him the website. As soon as I started to describe it he knew exactly what I was talking about and said he was pretty sure they did have it in stock. He ran back and got it for us. Then he helped with a few other things we were looking for or had spotted and had questions about. He was very knowledgeable and if he didn't know an answer right away (prices were the only thing he didn't seem to have memorized) he happily found out what we needed to know. On the way out I called the blond out on how rude she was (my sister had been looking for other things and said she was rude and dismissive towards her and another man who wasn't with our group). She back tracked and tried to tell me that she didn't say they didn't have any, she was just still loading things up for her other customer and would have looked for me. I called BS and reminded her that was NOT what she said, she didn't say she would be with me next. She flat out lied and said she knew they didn't have the item I was looking for. I guess they must not work on commission. Which is too bad for Zach, because we ended up buying more than what we came in for thanks to him. So if you shop here, don't bother asking Christina or the middle aged blond woman for anything. Just find Zach. He'll even kindly help you load your car after you check out. read more

Bad customer service.. went in to exchange an item that I had purchased just a week before. Since I didn't have the original receipt they offered me the lowest sale price which was $2 on a $30 shirt. Tried to try out some golf clubs but the golf clerk was incredibly rude and off-putting. They are expensive clubs $1000~ and the clerk asked a few times rudely "are you gonna buy it or what". No. I will not drop a grand without trying them. Furthermore, when I went to try the clubs, he did not set up any of the equipment properly so I was basically hitting into a wall. POINTLESS TO TRY OUT CLUBS HITTING INTO A WALL. Then immediately left saying "I have other stuff to do" while implying that I would not be buying the clubs. I don't like giving 1-star reviews because maybe someone was having a bad day or something, but this one I felt was well deserved. I called in to check stock on a product. What I thought would be a simple phone call that took a few minutes at the most actually took me more than 25 minutes. I was told, "Hold on. I'll transfer you to that department." I spent 20 minutes listening to the phone ring and then getting placed back on hold. Then, I called back to speak with someone, and again I was told (this time a lot nicer), "please hold while I transfer you to that department." I explained that I was just on hold for several minutes, but of course, I was placed on hold and waited for another few minutes before I gave up on the phone. When I showed up to the store to check the product myself, I found employees standing around, joking with each other, and sure enough...the phone was ringing. I walked out and drove to Milpitas instead. The reviews are right, the service at this location is horrible, particularly tonight. read more

We went here to get the baseball gears for my son. The place was kind of empty and merchandises were not fully stocks. Tried to get the new USA bat but the choices were so limited. The staff somewhat wasn't friendly. We stood there for over 25 minutes looking at different bats; the employees went back and forth but didn't even approach us to see if we need assistance with anything. I've given this store a fair amount of chances, but like the other reviews... customer service here is horrible. Every time my husband and I would ask for help, we'd have to wonder the store to look for an employee. Or if we do come across an employee to help us, they'd magically disappear. I honestly don't mind going to any store and grabbing what I need on my own. However, if the item has to a sensor connected to the clothing rack... I can't do that on my own. They have earned top spot for providing the WORST customer service possible in the valley. DON'T WASTE your TIME coming here. Wanted to buy a hybrid bike and Dicks had few options so came to checkout the bikes. Stood by the bikes for 15-20 minutes and no one came around. There were two employees who were working in bikes section and both conversing but no interest in helping out a customer. When I asked them if they can help, one of the employee pointed to the other and only to see him sneak out. That meant waiting for another 10 minutes. Finally, someone came and asked which bike I wanted to buy. When I mentioned i had few questions and needed some help in finding right bike they showed no interest at all and mentioned, "My shift is over. Can you find someone else?" Then another employee came only to be told they dont know anything about bikes and I should research ONLINE. This marks my last visit to Dicks sporting goods. Good luck! read more

My husband and I were there recently to pick up our son's bike that we ordered online for curbside pick up. When parked in one of the curbside pick up spots, one of three, we called and then was placed on hold to see if it was ready. While on hold, an employee came out to ask us if we needed help and we told him what we were on hold for. He was able to help us as well. We asked him if he wanted us to move and he replied in what I took as a curt, "That would be nice." We parked and were surprised that we were able to go inside despite social distancing orders. I waited at the front the store and when I saw the bike being wheeled out I asked the same person, "Is that my bike?" He replied with a less than professional tone, "I don't know? You're going to have to ask that guy!" This is the same guy who just checked to see if the bike was ready. What he should've done was say, "I'm not sure but let me go ahead and find out for you." I went there with the intention of purchasing new shoes, when I walked back to the shoe department no one came to help me, when someone came he was NOT helpful, I asked if they had a particular shoe in stock ( the display shoe was my size) he said they didn't have my size and walked away.
