Cashier had a bad attitude. Rude, he presented himself as entitlement. I should of read the ratings before I shopped there.

Went in today to purchase a pair of Nike's running shoes. Ryan W. From shoes department was very helpful and attentive. He brought me different sizes because I wasn't sure what exactly size I should get. ( I did research online about the Nike free 5.0 and people have different opinion about the shoes running on the exact size ) however, Ryan was very patient trying to help me as much as he could. He even went in the back room to check if they had the size I needed on the color I'v chosen. I really liked the store because I was well attended. Great experience! This place has everything that you need from Football stuff to just sports attire. The employees are helpful when not busy inside;-) I been here many times durning the week or weekends and I never seen it crowded or have huge lines. When ordereing in store, just have basic knowledge in what your getting. I ordered baseball pants and the guy didnt know if certain pants fit smaller or bigger..He could have called the manufacture, but I guess it wasnt in his job discription;-& The only down fall i dont like is that the selection of running shoes are limited. But, there are plenty of soccer and baseball shoes... I come here for all my baseball needs. Some the prices on certain items are a little high and for those items It's best to go to Big 5, Sports Chalet, Walmart or Target. Shop around! read more

This Sporting good store is actually pretty impressive. The store is huge and is covered wall to wall in sporting goods. They have all sorts of fun stuff there. I went into the store looking for a couple of work out outfits and ended up with a lot more than that. I bought two pairs of vans, running shoes, a pea coat kinda jacket, and the work out outfits. The prices are little bit high, but they have every sporting goods you could ever need. read more

I had gone in and was intending to buy a hydro flask, they didn't have the size or color I wanted in store but they offered to order it online for me and shipped to my house. When it came in it was dented, scratched, and looked as if it had already been used!! When I called the store to tell them what happened they told me they were not responsible for what happens to the item once it has been shipped and there was nothing they could do! Hydro flasks are not cheap and I can not believe this is how they treat their customers! I will not ever be going back! Big 5 sporting goods is better anyways! read more

The 552's in the store were broken and after 20 minutes got tired trying to flag assistance. Then I cancelled the online order. I'm surprised this store is still in business. read more

Walked in at night coming from a game and wearing a high school shirt where my kids play for, I was greeted by a female employee with "we support the highlander's here"! Out of nowhere? I'm not sure if they were taught to say that to everyone that comes in wearing a different high school shirt? I don't think Dick's discriminate against other high schools? She's a horrible reorientation of the store. I guess if you or your family are not from upland, you're not welcome at upland Dick's. read more

I went in for some advise on running shoes. I have never really liked running because my knees and back would always hurt, but I am at that point in my life were I am determined to be more fit. Dick's has a large selection of running shoes. The gentlemen that helped me was very knowledgable about all of the shoes and listened to all of my concerns. The shoes that he suggested work great for me and I am free of pain. Great place. If you are a newbie to running, walking or cross training definitely check out the shoe selection and get some great advise. read more

My experience at this store was phenomenal, I must have come on a good day because there was a sale and many of the items were buy one and get another product of the same brand for 50% off, if it was equal or lesser than the original value. Apart from that the floor worker Hannah provided amazing service and helped me with all my requests, so much so I left a survey mentioning her great customer service. I also received $20 dollars Dicks cash and ten dollars off for completing the survey! I couldn't be happier with my purchase and experience. read more

This place is a joke, not only is it over priced but their sales are misleading. There was a rack of converse shoes with signs saying 40% off lowest ticketed price. I spent sometime looking for my size and style. I wait in line and finally get to the front. The lady rings them up full price and I say. Im sorry the sign said the converse are 40% off, she says oh no not these the box has a green dot and proceeds to point at a green dot on the box. At any rate I left the shoes and any desire to return to this joke of a sporting goods store along with them. read more

This is some of the worst customer service I have ever had. When I approached the cashier she said nothing and did not look me in the eye despite the fact I had greeted her. She never made eye contact or said a word throughout the transaction. After I paid she handed me the bag without saying thank you, looking at me, and she barely had the bag within my reach. Giving the relacing service a bad review. I called to get a quote and was told it would be $12. Once I took the glove, the guy behind the counter told me the quote was incorrect and it would be $20. Since I did not have time to look for another place, I decided to have them do it. I then get a call that the glove was ready and it was going to be $30 plus lacing. I ended up paying $35 for the incorrect lace color and for a complete lacing when I only requested the web to be done. Very disappointed. read more

I like coming to Dick's for the workout equipment. I went a while ago and their weights were about $1 per pound. Recently they went up in price which is a bummer, but that's ok. The employees were helpful. Mostly just the cashier, who helped me with my Dick's membership card. I only really went in and out but I did not have a bad experience. I'll definitely come back when it's time to upgrade to heavier weights! read more

Very disappointing!!! I bought 3 camping chairs from them few weeks ago, one of them got broken after one time of use. I sent my mom to replace the broken chair and they didn't want to replace it. RACIST, RUDE AND LAZY! If I could give them a zero I would. Every time my family goes in there to shop we receive HORRIBLE customer service! Today takes the cake. My husband went in to purchase a bike tube for a long ride tomorrow. He walks into the bike section and looks around. There is also a female customer in that same section. The female customer walks up to an employee who was up on the ladder and asks a question. The employee quicks climbs down to help her. A few minutes later the employee came back and that's when my husband walked up to him to ask about the bike tubes. The employee cut my husband off and said look I can't help u we are doing inventory right now. So my husband told him well u sure did help that girl. The employee said fine and answered a few questions my husband had. After that he walked over to look a the bike shorts. Another employee walked up to my husband and said if u want to pay for that bike tube the register is over there. My husband said yes I'm aware of that thank you. The employee made it sound like my husband wanted to steal the merchandise! Wtf???? Finally my husband walked over to the register to pay. The guy at the cashier did not say one word to my husband as he approached the register. He was too busy chatting with a female employee and he was taking FOREVER to scan everything and was very rude. These people are horrible and straight racist. They are lazy and act like they are working for free. Obviously management doesn't keep their employees in line or their just oblivious to what's going on. I'm sorry to say but Dick's has lost a customer for life. This location in particular has really sealed the deal for me. Let me first say that I've been to this location only several times this year, and each time has been a poor experience. I decided I needed a new pair of running shoes. I was ready and prepared to drop a good amount on a nice pair. Upwards to $200. When I get there I stand in the show area for about 20 minutes until I'm helped. It's 11:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday, no one else is shopping. I asked the associate if I could have a particular shoe in my size. She grabs the display shoe and walks over to the shoe shelves and looks for about 5 minutes. She returns and says, "I'm all out of those." Then stands there and waits for my reaction. I then say, "Well ok, thanks anyway."And I walk out the store. Keep in mind there was no other person in the entire store at this time. It was not busy at all. The associate did not bother to check other store locations to see if they had my shoe, or online, or asked if I was set on that shoe to possible get me to purchase another shoe. Nope, none of the above. Poor service, and lost sale. Another incident. I go in to purchase a gift for my wife. This particular product was not in store, but online had it. They order the product and I receive a confirmation email a few days later saying the package is sent. Fast forward several more days and I receive a package at my doorstep.... Completely wrong item. I take it back to the Upland location and they confirm that my invoice and order item was correct. It was, they just sent the wrong item. They apologize for the mixup and offer to take back the incorrect item and send me my correct item overnight shipping with no extra charge. I agree. They said you'll receive a confirmation email in 24hrs saying its on its way. After 24hrs and still not receiving a confirmation email, I call the Upland location and tell them my issue. The associate advised me that the order was not processed and they again apologized for the inconvenience. A second transaction was made and my item was again shipped to me over night without further charge. I finally received the package 3 days later. I'm very sad over the fact that this store is operated by lazy (although possibly very knowledgable athletic people) because I truly like this store (location, prices, and selection) but to go to a place only a handful of times in one year and receive such poor service over and over again, I have to draw the line. It's a bit of a drive for me to go to Sport's Chalet in Glendora, but they've always had the greatest service and knowledgable staff that I've encountered for over 15 years going there. Dick's needs to realize the poor service product coming out of this particular store and recognize that something needs to be addressed. read more

I bought snowboard bindings from them, used them once and my foot kept popping out of the binding. Long story short, the manager would not return the broken item he sold me. He was extremely rude and acted as if I was trying to scam him... I was offened and will never buy anything from Dicks Sporting Goods again. read more

Terrible, awful, and rude service. I had to return a couple of items. I waited in a long line with only 2 cashiers helping Dick's "Guests". No greeting, no smile, no apologies for the long wait. I returned one item that was mailed to me, scanned my debit card so it can be refunded to my account. The other item that was mailed was not on the shipping receipt. The cashier said, "I can give you store credit for the lowest price of the item." They failed to send me a shipping invoice so I can return and have my account credited. Every other store will let you show the email confirmation or let you slide your card to show recent purchases. Dicks is a huge store. I couldn't believe they couldn't do that. I was shocked at the dismissal I received from the girl. I will not buy anything further from this store. I would rather shop online or go to Big 5. It was better when it was Chick's. read more

One of my all time favorite stores! Always have what I'm looking for & have a great selection of sporting goods. I mainly come for the running/workout clothes. Great selection of Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, etc. Also have a great selection of north face and other snow boarding company's. The only thing I would change about this store is better prices on their sale and clearance racks. Not always marked down that much. read more

I walked into the golf section not knowing what the hell I was supposed to buy for my spontaneous trip to Vegas with friends to go golfing. And he totally matched me up with exactly everything I needed. Cal was very respectful and patient with me and kept answering all my stupid questions and he really put in a lot of effort into helping me out. But anyways. You go Cal! But seriously, what use to be a great sporting goods store (Chick's,) has been replaced by another sport chalet type store (Dick's). The staff is nowhere near as helpful as before, and their casual apparel inventory has been slimmed down dramatically. I use to do most of my clothes shopping here. When I bought the treadmill in the store, I was told that it was guaranteed by Christmas. They asked me to give 3 days that I can be available for delivery in case one of the days doesn't work. The days I picked were Wednesday, Friday, or Monday. On Wednesday I still hadn't heard anything so I called the number they gave me for the delivery service. They said I have a delivery scheduled for the next day, on Thursday (mind you, the one day I couldn't be available). They also weren't going to tell me they scheduled it for the next day; I only found out because I called them. I told them that wouldnt work and it wasn't one of the 3 days I picked. They told me that the 3 days aren't guaranteed. I asked, well then why ask us to pick 3 days, why not just say, "we'll show up whenever we freaking feel like it, hope you're home?". They said my window was from 9-12 on Thursday and if I couldn't be available then I wouldn't get it by Christmas. I moved stuff around and renigged on familial engagements I had previously committed too because I didn't want you to deal with more headache. I made sure I was available. I called for an ETA at 1040 and was told the ETA was 12. By 1 pm there still wasn't a delivery. I called again. Customer service said the delivery person wasn't responding and they'd call me back. They never did. It is now 230 and I still have no treadmill, nor idea of when, if ever I'll get one. I'm so livid. Not an enjoyable experience. Look elsewhere and save yourself a headache by people who don't care about you nor your time. read more

Would never patronize this store again. Why one star? There were hardly any people in the store and it took 15 minutes until a salesperson greeted me. I asked where the pedometers where and he just shrugged and said he didn't know what a pedometer was and looked at me. I asked him if perhaps he could locate someone else who did. Guess what...there was a rack of pedometers behind him. Another guy wandered up and pointed out the pedometers and started to wandered off. I asked him if he had any that were watches and he took me to a display cabinet and left me there. He did not offer to bring someone for help. After waiting for another 10 minutes peering down at the glass I left. What a disappointment. Perhaps they don't want any business. I left as I was more than happy to spend my hard earned money somewhere else. Boo as far as customer service. It does not exist here AT ALL. read more

I should have read the reviews before dropping off my son's bike for servicing. I drop of the bike for tune up last week, there were nobody at the bike area. The "manager" took the bike and order in, and told us that we will be called the next day for the quote and pick up. No one called for 4-5 days, so we went back in to check. Again no one was there. And another staff came by and look up our order and said "The bike person comes in only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and he might not get to your order yet". Giving some benefit of doubt, we went back in again today (Tuesday 09/18/2018) to check. AGAIN nobody at the bike area. The same staff said, he may come in next day. NOW, I have enough. The so called "Manager" came and called someone on the intercom and said we will get a call tomorrow. So this is where we are at. I will never ever go back again. And I will not recommend anyone to go there. read more

Dick's is a monsterous store with a lot of excellent equipment at a high price. If you're in a hurry to get something you can find it there, but you'll pay an extra 30% more then other places. I liked it better when it was Chicks as they had better deals. I buy most of my equipment off the internet. read more

I only come here because there isn't a Sport Chalet close by, hence the extra star. You better know where things are stocked, because customer service on the floor is non-existent.
