They informed me of the problem and promised to take care of it. That's when the ghosting and excuses began. First, they were supposedly ordering a replacement. Then it was taking a very long time to ship. Then the owner was out of the country, apparently for months, and the rest of the company could not proceed, nor could they communicate with him for guidance. As they hoped, I gave up on them. Scheduled installation and Renz team is able to come and install the first piece, but can't remove the window to install the second. There begins the nightmare. Renz schedules a day for them to return to install the glass. Even after confirming the date and time, they never show up. After massive amounts of calls and texts, suddenly Renz who is very responsive completely ghosts me. A day later he tells me everyone is suddenly having personal issues so needs to get back to me the following Monday. Monday comes. Nothing. Tues, Weds, Thurs, Fri. Nothing. Finally gets back to me and tells me the owner is gone and won't be back til July 26. Then asks if I can meet on July 26. Never confirms, no one shows up. Glass still sitting around uninstalled. One of the most unprofessional businesses I've ever dealt with. I'm also pretty sure this IS NOT a legitimate business. After contacting them to repair a broken bedroom window, Renz immediately sent someone out to take measurements. From that point, everything went downhill. I received a text (on the day of my installation) telling me that the the technician broke the glass on his way to my home. 2 weeks later, we rescheduled. The tech arrived and replaced my window WITH A CRACKED GLASS! Renz told me they accidently ordered the wrong glass size, which is why the technician had an issue installing and ultimately cracking it during the install. I've reached out via text and called several times, no update at ALL. This has now been a 2-month ordeal and they've stopped taking my calls and responding to text. read more

Nate, the owner was very communicative during the process and scheduled an installation that fit my schedule. He and his partner was right on time and had the old window removed and replaced within a little over an hour. Nate was super courteous as some work was required inside, with mask up due to COVID, he was careful to remove his shoes and lay down a tarp/blanket in the work area. I find these details extremely courteous as this is our "home sweet home." I was so impressed I even handed him another small piece of glass that needed replacement, he was quick to point out the tempered glass required for the application which really let me know he up on local code and truly a professional. I, unfortunately, did not get the 5-star treatment. My main issue with them was the lack of communication. I was told that my window IGU replacement would take five business days to be ready from when they ordered it. What? I thought they were a glass shop and would just assemble one. Anyway, six days go by and I reached out to them for an update and am told they JUST ordered it. Why did it take that long just to order it? Why was I not told there was going to be a delay? I waited and waited, eleven days actually before having had enough, reached out to them again to see what the heck was going on. I got an excuse about COVID and the industry being slow, and was told it's coming. Fine. I waited some more days and again, nothing. I reached out to them yet again but this time to cancel it all and go with another company. They say it'll be a few more days. Six days after this last communication they are finally onsite to replace it. For those of you keep track of the timeline, almost 25 days in total! Insane. Furthermore, my window was missing the vinyl beading outside due to having been broken. They stated they could not find replacements for my window and just used caulk to fill the gap around the window from the outside. I'm not a glass guy but a vinyl bead that comes close in size and style would have been the way to go rather than the smeared in caulking job that I got. Whatever. Lesson learned. I received a very fast response from Renz at DG glass for installing a problem sliding screen door in the patio of one of my rental properties here in San Jose. Next day service was provided and Moe, the technician, was on time with his Covid-19 mask in place. This was a difficult installation because of the age of the door track and because the frame is not square. This job was not too difficult for Moe and he maintained his patience throughout the one hour process.
